There was no action in the top five European soccer leagues (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) last weekend due to the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The action returns next weekend with very interesting matchups in each one of them. Let’s take a look at the best matches and how things are regarding the title race in each tournament including the soccer betting odds to win it all (as of writing).
Premier League (England)
- Reigning champions: Liverpool

The English Premier League has been upside down. Everton sits at the top and next Saturday, October 17 they play host to Liverpool.
Everton remains unbeaten and they have scored 12 goals and allowed 5. Their last match was a 4-2 victory against Brighton.
Liverpool comes from a 7-2 loss against Aston Villa, but they are ready to bounce back. Liverpool dominates the current odds -115 as they haven’t lost to Everton since the 2010-2011 season.
In another expected thrilling match, Arsenal visits Manchester City. Arsenal owns a 3-0-1 record while Manchester City is 1-1-1.
Manchester City comes in as the favorite -210. The ‘Citizens’ have six victories in a row against Arsenal when playing for the Premier League.
Some other interesting matchups are Chelsea vs Southampton (Saturday), Newcastle vs Manchester United (Saturday), Tottenham vs West Ham (Sunday) and Leicester City vs Aston Villa (Sunday).

Odds to win the Premier League Title
As reigning champions, Liverpool +120 continues to be the favorite in the odds to win the English Premier League, followed by Manchester City +150, Chelsea +1200 and now Everton +1800.
Arsenal and Tottenham offer a +2500 and +5000 value respectively.
Serie A (Italy)
- Reigning champions: Juventus
- Current First Place: Atalanta
Atalanta sits at the top but that could change next Saturday, October 17 if they lose to Napoli. Atalanta owns the best offensive unit in the league after scoring 13 goals in three games, but Napoli owns one of the best defensive units after not allowing one single goal in two matches.
Napoli comes in as the slight favorite +150 and the total is set at 3 ½ goals.
AC Milan shares first place with Atalanta and they collide with Inter Milan, also next Saturday. Inter Milan lead the series 82-67-76 and comes in as the favorite +130.
Last season, Inter Milan won both of their games for the Serie A, first 2-0 and then 4-2.
Juventus, favorite to win it all at the end of the season, will visit Crotone (Saturday), while Spezia vs Fiorentina is scheduled for Sunday, just like Bolonia vs Sassuolo (third place).

La Liga (Spain)

Right now, Real Madrid sits at the top of La Liga, but with one more played game than Barcelona and Sevilla.
‘Los Blancos’ will face Cadiz at Santiago Bernabeu next Saturday. As expected, they are huge favorites -450; Eden Hazard remains out due to injury.
Also, on Saturday, Barcelona will be on the road against Getafe. Despite playing away from home, Lionel Messi and Co. dominate the current La Liga Odds -115 for this game as they average 2.6 goals per game.
What about the other contenders?
Atletico Madrid visits Celta de Vigo and Sevilla visits Granada. Both games are also scheduled for Saturday and Atletico Madrid and Sevilla will try to remain undefeated.

RB Leipzig shares the first place with Augsburg, and guess what? They collide next Saturday at the SGL Arena.
RB Leipzig comes in as the favorite -180 as they average 2.6 per game and only allows 0.6 goals per game. Nevertheless, Augsburg owns the best defensive unit after allowing just one goal in three matches.
What about the favorites?
When you talk about the Bundesliga, you know you have to talk about Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Both teams have six points with a 2-0-1 record. Bayern Munich lost (4-1) against Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund lost (2-0) against Augsburg.
Next weekend Bayern Munich comes in as the favorite -500 against Arminia while Borussia Dortmund is also the favorite -135 against Hoffenheim.

On Friday, October 16 PSG visits Nimes Olympique with the odds -450 by their side.
