There are no invincible teams, but Manchester City (English Premier League) and Inter Milan (Italian Serie A) are pretty close. Atletico Madrid (La Liga), Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and LOSC Lille (Ligue 1) remain at the top of their league, but their advantage decreased.
Let’s take an online betting look at what has happened recently and how the sports betting odds to win it all have changed.
Premier League (England)
- Reigning champions: Liverpool
- Current First Place: Manchester City
Manchester City won again. Their more recent victory was on the road against Arsenal (0-1); the “Citizens” have 17 consecutive English Premier League games without losing and they own a 10-point advantage over Manchester United (second place).
Manchester United just beat Newcastle 3-1, but they have won just two of their last five domestic games (right now, they’re more focused on winning the UEFA Europa League).
Other Contenders
Leicester City also have 49 points, but they have scored nine goals less than Manchester United, that’s why they’re in third place. They just beat Aston Villa on the road (1-2).
What about West Ham United? They have won three of their last four games, good enough for fourth place with 45 points. That’s right, they’re above some powerhouses such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Chelsea complete the top five with 43 points. They haven’t lost in their last five games. Last weekend they drew 1-1 against Southampton. Manager Thomas Tuchel has been doing a great job in changing the “Blues” mentality.
To Be Relegated
Sheffield United have lost three games in a row and remain at the bottom with just 11 points. Albion have drawn in their last two games, but they have just 14 points, good enough for nineteenth place.
Fulham have 22 points, but that’s not good enough to be out of the relegation zone. Newcastle (25 points) and Brighton (26 points) are dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Next Weekend’s Best Games
Next Saturday, Manchester City will play host to West Ham United.
On Sunday, Leicester City will play host to Arsenal, while Chelsea will play host to Manchester United. Liverpool will be on the road against Sheffield United (the “Reds” shouldn’t have any trouble beating them).
