Two years ago, Liverpool and Tottenham played in the UEFA Champions League Final. Now, we’re on the verge of another finale between two English teams, unless PSG and Real Madrid do something about it.
Let’s take a look at the UEFA Champions League Semifinal Odds while making some predictions.
UEFA Champions League Betting Odds
Manchester City vs PSG (Tuesday)
|Manchester City||-½ -150||-150||3 -110o||2 +115o / -145u|
|PSG||+½ +130||+375||3 -110u||1 -115o / -115 u|
Manchester City won the first leg, on the road, 2-1. Now, the Citizens could even lose 1-0 and still advance to their first UEFA Champions League Final, but manager Pep Guardiola knows it’s not going to be that easy.
“From my experience, the second leg of the is always difficult. You play with the result of the first leg, you forget what you have to do, which is to win the game. It has always been like this. The final is completely different,” said Guardiola.
Manchester City owns a 5-0-0 record when playing at home, scoring at least two goals in every game. They also are 4-1 against the spread and 1-1-3 over/under.
Sergio Aguero is back and he leads the first goal scorer Soccer Props with a +350 price.
Curiously enough, PSG has been better when playing on the road with a 4-0-1 record, including a huge 3-2 victory against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena. The French side is also 3-1-1 against the spread and 4-1 over/under.
Kylian Mbappe is doubtful due to injury. He didn’t play last Saturday against Lens in the Ligue 1, but I think he’s going to play even if he’s not at 100 percent. Idrissa Gueye is suspended.
Expect nothing less than a shootout. PSG has to go all-in since the beginning while Manchester City is well known for always wanting a little more.
Pick: Over 3 goals (-110)
Chelsea vs Real Madrid (Wednesday)
|Chelsea||-½ +120||+120||2 -145o||1 -150o / +120u|
|Real Madrid||+½ -140||+250||2 +125u||1 +120o / -150u|
Chelsea managed to draw 1-1 at Real Madrid, just as we predicted, but could have won it. Now, the Blues can advance to their first UEFA Champions League Final since 2012 even with a goalless draw.
The English side owns a 2-2-1 record at Stamford Bridge: 2-3 against the spread and 0-3-2 over/under. Mateo Kovacic is doubtful due to injury, but Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz are in great shape.
Chelsea averages 1.8 goals per game. Overall, they’ve scored 20 goals, fourth best in the competition.
“We’re focused on the Real Madrid game. It is a semi-final and we have won nothing. We need to be ready for this battle,” said goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Despite not being the sports betting favorite, Real Madrid is used to playing games like these. Sergio Ramos, Federico Valverde and Eden Hazard are back while Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez and Raphael Varane are out due to injury.
The Spanish side is 2-2-1 when playing on the road, 3-2 against the spread and 1-4 over/under. Los Blancos managed to finish their last two road games with a clean sheet, but they weren’t required to score.
Both will score and I think Real Madrid can pull off the upset here, but on penalty kicks after another 1-1 draw.
