UFC248 Let Down

UFC 248 for some fans fell short of expectations for the main event between Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero. Fans and Dana White himself were expecting a little more fast paced action, especially from the champion Adesanya, since both guys were knockout artists.

Adesanya even came on record as to call the fight "boring", and that he blames the poor fight on his opponent Romero. Even though it turned out the way it did, Adesanya was the one who originally called out Romero.

On To The Next One

The next fight up for Israel Adesanya will be the undefeated challenger Paulo Costa, who is 13-0. Shortly after the UFC 248, the two were already talking trash towards each other, promising a better fight when they battle each other.

The number one middleweight fighter will be challenging Adesanya in an upcoming UFC title fight. Costa has ridiculous knockout power and lands 8.83 significant strikes a minute. Talk about putting people to sleep and doing so very quickly. Adesanya may have more than he bargained for in this one.

For betting opportunities, this one should be a fun one to engage in. Costa may come in as a favorite for this one, at least to the fans. Not too sure if people are going to want to bet on Adesanya after his performance.

Weili Successful

Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk had one of the best fights, if not best ever, we have seen in the women's Strawweight division. It had everything a fan and student of the game could ask for with the two of them going at it for all five rounds.

Weili was able to successfully defend her title for the first time and did so brilliantly. I believe that Jedrzejczyk lost this by a hair, and the scoring just happened to not be in her favor. If these two fight again, I believe we will see an even better fight than the one we were all pleased with. Round two between them would have wonderful betting options and give you a thriller at the same time.

Slap Happy

Brian Ortega had the bright idea of smacking Jay Park, who is a friend to Chan Sung Jung, at UFC 248. While no video footage is available yet of the slap, there is footage of Ortega saying that he did it.

Apparently Park was talking trash about Ortega before him and the Korean Zombie were supposed to fight each other back in December. Ortega had to withdraw from the fight due to injury, and the two of them may fight in the future especially after the drama surrounding them now.

What was even worse was the fact that Ortega and Jung's party was sitting very close to each other and the incident only occurred when Jung happened to go to the restroom. The Korean Zombie is now highly motivated and promises a knockout to Ortega. My money will be on Jung, as this man is quite irritated now.
