After an action-packed January, the UFC takes a breather in the final weeks as it gets ready for a busy February featuring one UFC event per week. Four big UFC events all lined up and available at our online sportsbook for every fight fan’s sports betting needs.
UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Volkov
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 184, UFC on ESPN+ 42, UFC Vegas 18
- Date: Feb. 6
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
February’s first UFC event is a Fight Night between longtime heavyweight contenders: Alistair Overeem (47-18-0 1 NC) and Alexander Volkov (32-8-0). Both are just outside the title picture, but a big win here could propel them to being next in line. UFC betting odds have Overeem as the dog while Volkov is nearly a 2-1 favorite.
The 40-year-old Overeem is coming from two knockout wins over Augusto Sakai and Walt Harris while Volkov is eight years his junior. Like Overeem, he’s coming off a win over Harris.
Other notable fights in this card include a women’s flyweight bout between former champion Nicco Montaño (4-3-0) and rising prospect Karol Rosa (13-3-0) and a potential bantamweight title eliminator when Cory Sandhagen (13-2-0) fights former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (24-8-1).
UFC 258: Usman vs Burns
- Date: Feb. 13
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
The next UFC Pay-Per-View sees welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (17-1-0) defend his belt against former teammate Gilbert Burns (19-3-0) in what should be his toughest test, although UFC betting odds still have Usman as a significant favorite.
Usman won the belt in 2019 and has never looked back. He turned back Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal in decisive victories. Burns has looked as dominant in his welterweight run beating the likes of former champion Tyron Woodley and two-time title challenger Demian Maia.
Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman (15-5-0) was to fight knockout artist, Uriah Hall (16-9-0) but the bout has been postponed because Weidman tested positive for COVID-19. Both men hold notable victories over the great Anderson Silva. On the women’s side, rising flyweight stars Maycee Barber (8-1-0) will fight Alexa Grasso (12-3-0).
UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs Lewis
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 185, UFC on ESPN+ 43, UFC Vegas 19
- Date: Feb. 20
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
The second Fight Night of the month sees another heavyweight clash and it could be to decide who challenges the winner of the second Stipe Miocic versus Francis Ngannou title fight. This should be a closely lined fight in terms of betting odds.
Curtis Blaydes (14-2-0) and Derrick Lewis (24-7-0) are both massive heavyweights with a combined 29 knockouts. Both are on winning streaks and have emerged as the frontrunners for the next title shot although Blaydes has already lost to Ngannou twice while Lewis is one of only two fighters to beat him.
There is also a women’s bantamweight clash between Brazilian Ketlein Vieira (11-1-0) and former title challenger Yana Kunitskaya (13-5-0) as well as another heavyweight tilt with submission specialist Alexey Oleinik (59-14-1) taking on the hot prospect, Christopher Daukaus (10-3-0).
UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs Prochazka
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 187, UFC on ESPN+ 44, UFC Vegas 20
- Date: Feb. 27,
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
We’ve got a light heavyweight banger on our hands here as knockout artist Dominick Reyes (12-2-0) takes on Jiri Prochazka (27-3-1) in what could be a title eliminator. Expect betting lines to be close to even here.
Reyes came to fame by almost beating the pound-for-pound king Jon Jones, but was knocked out by Jan Blachowicz in the ensuing vacant title fight. Prochazka quickly made a splash by starching Volkan Oezdemir in one round.
Also on deck is a women’s flyweight scrap as Canadian veteran Alexis Davis (19-10-0) fights Colombian prospect Sabina Mazo (9-1-0). Additionally, Brazilian bantamweights Raphael Assuncao (27-8-0) and Raoni Barcelos (16-1-0) meet in a battle between top-15 contenders.
