Denmark Superisligaen Hockey League

The Metal Ligaen or the Denmark Superisligaen or even the Eliteserien is the professional hockey league based out of Denmark. The premier Danish league was founded in 1954 and has changed many times over the years. The League is currently sponsored by Dansk Metal, coining the Metal Ligaen name. There are a total of 9 teams in the Denmark Superisligaen, and in recent years, the quality of play has improved, making it one of the better European leagues, frequently compared to the Swedish League or the German League.

Each team will play the other eight teams five times, for a 45 game long season. The top eight teams will head to the playoffs, leaving one team out of contention. The playoffs consist of three rounds which include quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals. The prize for the league is Prince Henrik’s Cup.

Denmark Superisligaen Teams

Aalborg Pirates
Esbjerg Energy
Frederikshavn White Hawks
Herning Blue Fox
Herlev Eagles
Odense Bulldogs
Rungsted Seier Capital
Rodovre Mighty Bulls
SonderjyskE Ishockey

The teams with the most titles in the Denmark Superisligaen are the Herning Blue Fox with 16 titles, followed by the KSF Kobenhavn with ten and the SonderjyskE Ishockey with nine.

Throughout the regular season and the playoffs, you will find a great selection of Denmark Superisligaen betting odds. These odds will tell you the number of winnings you could wind up with or how likely it is for your bet to win. Depending on which of the odds formats you prefer, you may view the odds in a few different formats on the sportsbook – there are American odds which typically are presented in a (+250/-125) format, decimal odds, or fractional odds.

When it comes to these Denmark Superisligaen odds, it can be important to first learn how to bet on these different wagering types. The starting point is the moneyline wager, which is simply picking the outright winner. The odds will reflect how likely that Danish team is to win the game.

If you want to mix things up, you can find some Metal Ligaen point spreads available at the BetUS sportsbook. The point spread gives the underdog an imaginary head start, usually of a goal or two, which means the underdog needs to win or lose by less than that number of goals. You can also bet on the favored team, and they will need to win by more than that number of goals.

Over/under betting allows you to bet on the final score, but without picking between the two teams. You are betting on the total number of goals that both teams will both score, added up. All you have to do is determine if you think the total will be over or under the betting line. If the total is set at 5, you will have to decide if you think there will be four goals total or less for the under or six or more goals for the over.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a huge selection of prop bets for these smaller international leagues, but here at BetUS Sportsbook, we tend to be the only ones who actually have props on these leagues at all. You may find a handful of props that would be anything from team props to game props for each game.

Not many online betting sites in the United States offer Denmark Superisligaen odds, but luckily, we have you covered! If you’re used to betting on the National Hockey League and are looking for some more hockey to bet on – you are in the right place as we have plenty of options for those looking for ice hockey odds.

Rolling If Bets (RIF) allow you to use the balance (amount) from existing wagers to make a new wager. As long as existing wagers have not been graded, the amount wagered can still be used to make new wagers. However, if your original wager loses, the Rolling If Bet is then cancelled. There are two options for ties (pushes); you can specify if you want the Rolling If Bet to continue in case of a tie or simply cancel the RIF.

Rolling If Bets are:
  • only allowed on straight bets, Parlays and Teasers.
  • not available with Free Plays or Futures and Props
  • only available if you have pre existing, non graded wagers
  • you can only use the funds from the amount of the pre existing wager
How to Place a Rolling If Bet:
  • Choose any straight, parlay or teaser and Place it on the Bet Slip
  • Click on the Rolling If Bet button next to the wager detail
  • In the RIF dropdown, choose a wager that you want to use for RIF
  • Click on "If Win Only" or "If Win or Push" (explained above)
  • Fill in the amount and confirm your wager (the system will not allow you a higher amount than what is available)
