Heisman Trophy Odds

Overview

The NCAAF Heisman Trophy is one of the highest honors that a player in college football can receive. In 1935, the Downtown Athletic Club created an award for the best player in college football. The following year after the death of John Heisman, who was the director of the athletic club, it was renamed the Heisman Trophy. Most people see the winner of the NCAAF Heisman Trophy as a shoo-in for being drafted in the first round to the NFL. Past winners of the NCAAF Heisman Trophy include:

  • WR DeVonta Smith (2020)
  • QB Joe Burrow (2019)
  • QB Kyler Murray (2018)
  • QB Baker Mayfield (2017)
  • QB Lamar Jackson (2016)
  • RB Derrick Henry (2015)
  • QB Marcus Mariota (2014)
  • QB Jameis Winston (2013)
  • QB Johnny Manziel (2012)
  • QB Robert Griffin III (2011)
  • QB Cam Newton (2010)

The voting process for the Heisman Trophy consists of more than 800 members of the media plus another 56 people that have previously won the Heisman Trophy. There is also one vote given to the winner of a fan favorite vote. The voters look at candidates that play exceptionally well on the field, while helping lead their team to victory. This is done during the NCAAF regular seasons of play.

The NCAA holds an event every December to give the Heisman Trophy to the winner. This event is held before the start of the NCAAF bowl games. The most common player positions to win a Heisman Trophy are at the quarterback and running back positions.

BetUS offers customers the ability to bet on who will win the Heisman Trophy. On the BetUS site, customers can use cash or crypto to make a bet on who will win the Heisman Trophy. This makes betting convenient if you prefer to use cryptocurrency to place your bet. BetUS also offers additional bonuses to new customers that make a deposit, and even larger bonuses for those that deposit using cryptocurrency. The BetUS site accepts Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Ethereum as a form of cryptocurrency deposit.

HOW TO BET ON NCAAF HEISMAN TROPHY

When it comes to betting on a winner for the Heisman Trophy, there are some important things to look at. From 2010 to 2020, every Heisman winner played offense for their team. Of the 11 winners during that time, nine were quarterbacks, one was a running back, and one was a wide receiver. So by this metric, quarterbacks are heavily favored to win a Heisman Trophy.

Another thing to look at is the play of someone that may be in the running for the Heisman Trophy. Has that player done something to give his team an edge in a game? Was the team down, only to come back from behind on the star ability of this player? Has this player helped inspire a winning spirit in his team? What are some of the stats this player has posted during the season?

Something else to take note of is that past Heisman Trophy winners have come from well known colleges in NCAAF. Colleges like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and USC have produced some of the highest number of Heisman Trophy winners in the past.

Looking at all of these things will help in a bet on who you think will win the Heisman Trophy. The knowledge of a player’s position and abilities on the field help with making a more informed bet. So whether you are a seasoned vet at betting or someone new to the realm of sports betting, knowing where to look and what to look for can make the experience that much easier. And BetUS strives to make sports betting easy.

A: A: After clicking on the Heisman Trophy tab, it will bring up a list of Heisman Trophy candidates. Each player will have a moneyline odds next to their name. Click on the odds of the player that you want to bet on. On the right side will be your bet. You then put the amount that you want to bet in the RISK box. After you enter the amount that you want, you will have to click on the PLACE MY BETS box. You will then be asked to confirm your bet and then to print out your bet slip for your records.
A: A: The Heisman Trophy odds are strictly based on a moneyline. There are three indicators with moneyline betting. The first is EV, which means you will get even money on a bet. So bet $100 and you win $100. The next, and most common at the beginning of the NCAAF season, is the plus odds. This indicates how much money you will win for every $100 you bet. So a +500 means you would win $500 if you bet $100.

The last, and most common closer to the end of the season, are the negative odds. For example, a -400 odds would mean that you would win only $25 on a $100 bet. To see how much you would win on a negative odds bet, take the amount you are going to bet, with no decimal point for the cents part, and divide it by the negative odds number. So $100 would be 10000 divided by 400 to equal $25.

A: A: Negative odds mean that there will be a lower rate of return on your bet. But negative odds also indicate that a player is favored to win. So when you see negative odds, it means that the player with the negative odds is favored the most to win the Heisman Trophy.

With these questions answered, it should make the understanding of the odds and how to place your bet on the BetUS site easier. And with the ability to use crypto on BetUS for your betting options, you have more ways to pay for your bets on BetUS.
