US Open Women's Outrights lines

Overview

The US Open is one of the premier tennis events in the world, and since 1987, the tournament has acted as the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the calendar year. Played at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the tournament dates back to 1887, known then as the U.S. National Championships.

The game has changed dramatically since then, beyond just the name change to the US Open in 1968. As game technology has improved, the US Open is faster than ever before and continues to grow in popularity. In 2021, the US Open drew in a whopping 881,000 viewers on average, up 33 percent from the 2020 event.

Throughout this piece, we’ll use the phrase “Women’s outrights.” The “outrights” refers to picking the overall champion of the US Open Women’s event as opposed to picking head-to-head winners of each match.

HOW TO BET ON US OPEN WOMEN'S OUTRIGHTS ON LINE

Betting on US Open Women’s outrights is different from picking the winner of an individual match. Because the tournament field starts with a field of 128 players, studying the bracket to determine a player’s potential path to the final round is crucial to betting success. If one of the more dominant players has a series of challenging opponents along the way, it could be tougher for them to advance through the tournament.

The top 32 players at the US Open Women’s event are seeded after qualifiers, then the remaining 96 unseeded players are randomly assigned throughout the bracket. Because of the element of randomness, savvy bettors will pour over the fixtures to determine the most favorable route to the finals.

The qualifying round is a dividing line for odds on the US Open Women’s outrights winner. Prior to qualifiers, odds tend to be more favorable for the bettor because the tournament bracket is not yet known. Once the field is drawn, betting odds will change accordingly, so to maximize potential profits, betting well in advance tends to yield higher payouts.

Conversely, though the payout may not be as high, bettors do stand a higher chance of a win if they wait until after the field is set. Also, bettors can continue to wager as the US Open is underway, but again, the odds will change and payouts may not be as favorable.

FAQs on the US Open Women’s Tournament

Yes! Betting on the US Open Women’s Outrights opens almost immediately after the prior year’s event concludes. Placing a bet early tends to yield higher payouts for winning, though the overall chances of winning may not be as high due to potential for injuries, illnesses, or a bad stretch of play.
BetUS is a great option to bet on US Open Women’s Outrights Odds because the process is simple, the odds are favorable, and your money is safe and secure at every step of the process. Odds for next year’s event are already online, so log on and make a wager today!
Betting on the US Open Women’s outrights odds is a piece of cake with BetUS! Simply log onto BetUS.com and click on the Sportsbook link on the top left of the page. From there, scroll down on the left side until you see “US Open Women’s Outrights.” Click on that, click on the player you’d like to bet on, add them to your ticket and you’re good to go!
Far before the tournament begins, sportsbooks set odds based on the Women’s Tennis Association world rankings. Those odds will change during the year as the US Open draws closer.

The favorite for the tournament will either be listed with negative odds or odds close to +100. The closer to +100, the more likely the favorite, while the higher the number behind the “+” sign, the longer the shot of a player to win.

Betting on a US Open Women’s outright winner with negative odds likely means you’re betting on the favorite. Because of the size of the field, very few competitors, if any, get close to negative odds or even money. Negative odds would likely only appear at or after the quarterfinals round.
