It could be a three-way race for the 2025 Women’s Australian Open this week, with defending champion Aryna Sabalenka leading the way.

She is the favorite at -165 with Australian Open odds, and after breezing past her rivals so far, we thought her odds would be shorter as she looks to hold off the likes of Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff.

Top Seeds Head Australian Open Women’s Odds

1. Sabalenka Setting the Tone

Sabalenka is set to dominate Melbourne at the 2025 Australian Open, as she has done over the past few years.

The world No. 1 rolled past Mirra Andreeva 6-1, 6-2 in her fourth-round clash. Andreeva was expected to be one to watch, but Sabalenka made her look second-rate.

The 26-year-old, who has two Australian Open titles on her record, hasn’t been tested in any of her matches. She has yet to drop a set and that could continue to be the case as she enters the quarterfinals stage.

We thought WTA futures odds would have her around -150 to win, and despite Swiatek and Gauff having a chance to win, Sabalenka is the one to beat based on performances throughout the tournament.

Bettors will be concerned by the change in conditions in Melbourne, which Sabalenka talked about, but she’s good enough to overcome it.

Yeah, balls are heavy. Courts are a little bit slower. You just have to sometimes just put that serve in and just play the rally,” Sabalenka said.

There is no value on a bet online in the quarterfinals as Sabalenka is an overwhelming favorite at -1000 to dispatch of Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

2. Former World No. Swiatek Making Statement

Swiatek isn’t playing on her favorite surface, but the balls being heavier in Melbourne this year, that helps the former world No. 1.

She dismantled former US Open champion Emma Raducanu 6-1, 6-0, and she made it look like Raducanu had never played a match before, let alone won a Grand Slam. Granted, Raducanu’s US Open win was a flash-in-the-pan performance, but it’s still a thrashing of a solid player.

Swiatek followed that up by steamrolling Eva Lys 6-0, 6-1 in the fourth round. That prompted a move in tennis betting lines to +160. That’s not surprising given how well she has looked, and she has dropped only four games from her last three matches, which isn’t easy to do.

A final appearance against Sabalenka could await, and that would make for excellent viewing for tennis fans.

3. Gauff Leads US Hopes

The chances of a US player winning the Australian Open could rest with Gauff, who is on the third line of betting at +350.

She had some trouble getting past Belinda Bencic in the fourth round, but she should fancy her chances of beating Paula Badosa in the quarterfinals, especially with Badosa being one of the more wild players on the court.

Gauff is -350 to dispatch of Badosa and is -4½ in games handicap at -115 odds for those making tennis picks.

There are three American women left in the Australian Open, including Madison Keys and Emma Navarro. They have performed well in Grand Slams recently, and although they aren’t on the same level as Gauff, their respective +1000 and +5000 odds shouldn’t be overlooked as upset chances.

However, backing Gauff at the shorter odds is a safer bet for tennis predictions.
