Best Bets for US Open Women: Gauff Ready to Realize Potential
American Represents Value
There is excellent value with US Open picks, and leading the charge is American Coco Gauff, who has firmed considerably at the sportsbook.
The youngster has had a successful American swing on the WTA Tour, which has seen her odds strengthen to +700 after sitting at +1000 a week ago.

Our US Open predictions also feature the world’s best player, who is always a solid tennis pick.
Have a Cup of Coco
As the latest US Open news suggests, Gauff is on the charge following her impressive Cincinnati Masters win.
The 19-year-old – and it’s hard to believe she’s still a teenager – played well to win the final, beating Karolina Muchova in straight sets. However, she had already beaten Iga Swiatek in the semifinals, which is the better form guide.
Swiatek is the current +225 US Open favorite with sport betting markets, and she’s also one of our top picks, so for Gauff to have beaten her recently bodes well for bettors entertaining the +700 odds for the local hero.
She was never going to be a player who won a lot of Grand Slams early in her career. Good things take time, and she has matured into one of the best players in the world.
Therefore, now is the time to strike and get value for Gauff, before she starts winning consistently and her odds are no longer backable.
Coach Brad Gilbert was generous in his thoughts of Gauff.
“Coco is a really hard worker,” Gilbert told the media. “She’s really humble and she’s a great kid, and you really want great things to happen for her. She’s also really bright and she wants to be good … She’s had the tough burden the past few years of seeing other people winning Slams and thinking, ‘OK, why not me?’ but she’s willing to do the work to get there.”
Bettors should expect money to come for Gauff in the coming days.

Swiatek is Still a Value Pick
Despite being the favorite, there is still value with Swiatek, who is a four-time Grand Slam champion.
The Polish pro might have been beaten by Gauff in Cincinnati, and hard courts aren’t her best surface, but she is the world’s best player for a reason.
Despite Flushing Meadows not being her preferred surface, she won the 2022 US Open. That was a crowning achievement for a player who is much better on the clay courts of Roland Garros, where she is a three-time winner.
Being the defending champion comes with a lot of pressure, but the 22-year-old has earned the respect of online gambling markets, and rightfully so.
Just because she’s the favorite, it doesn’t mean she’s not a value pick. We would have been happy to take Swiatek at +200, so bettors get a little bit of interest for the top-seeded superstar.
Sakkari Surprise
Maria Sakkari is a player we love to watch. She is always a crowd favorite, and she could parlay that into a US Open win.
The Greek star is a +5000 choice to win at Flushing Meadows, and if she plays anywhere near her best, she could make a deep run.
We think she offers excellent value, and she could firm with US Open Women live betting markets throughout the two-week tournament. If she makes the quarterfinals, bettors should expect the +5000 to firm to around +1000.
She holds a high enough ranking to avoid playing one of the world’s best players in the opening rounds, so it would take a big upset to see her lose in the first three rounds.
Bencic Under the Radar
Belinda Bencic burst onto the scene many years ago, and although she never hit the heights that were expected of her, she’s still a quality player.
The Swiss player is on the same line as Sakkari at +5000, which is a fair number from bookmakers.
She might have been upset in the Cincinnati Masters, but her record at the US Open is better than any other major. She owns one semifinal and two quarterfinal appearances, and she’s 18-7 overall.
There is no reason to leave her out of calculations.
