The tennis odds for the men’s and women’s French Opens haven’t changed too much at the top, but there have been some upsets in the tournament.

I look at where they stand after a few rounds and where bettors can get the best value starting this weekend.

French Open: 3 Things to Watch

MEN: Alcaraz, Sinner Destined for Final

The latest tennis news has Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner making their way through the tournament and they’re destined to meet in the French Open final.

They met in the final of the Italian Open a couple of weeks ago and the Spaniard prevailed, but Sinner hasn’t played much competitive tennis recently and he’s looking to win his second Grand Slam of the year.

Clay court tennis typically favors defending champion Alcaraz, who is making the most of his time on center court. He hasn’t done anything wrong so far and he’s paying -120 odds to take the title.

Sinner is +187, which is an excellent price for the Italian. He represents better value, and my French Open picks are still confident of Sinner going all the way.

Bet on Jannik Sinner (+287)

WOMEN: Top Seeds on Track to Collide

Much like in the men’s tournament, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka are on track to meet in the latter rounds.

It has been a rough year for defending champion Swiatek, having slipped to the fifth seed for the tournament she typically dominates, but she has every chance to win. Many tennis predictions had her winning despite her form and she rolled through Britain’s Emma Raducanu without any fuss.

She won 6-1, 6-2 in dominant fashion, and although Raducanu is rather average these days, it was still a mighty effort.

Sabalenka is also playing well, dispatching her opponents without much trouble. They are the two best players in the world, and that’s reflected with their tennis odds. There isn’t much between them, but there can be only one winner.

Bet on Aryna Sabalneka (+300)

Ruud and de Minaur Upset Victims, Opening Up Draw

Casper Ruud and Alex de Minaur were solid upset chances at the 2025 French Open, and since losing, they have criticized the length of the ATP Tour.

There are no excuses for de Minaur, who was 2-0 up against Alexander Bublik. He lost the last three sets to post yet another disappointing finish in a Grand Slam. Bettors are starting to give up on the Australian, who is somehow seeded ninth.

Ruud typically plays well on clay, so it was a poor showing from him. They are the big omissions from the men’s main draw, which makes life easier for Alcaraz and Sinner.
