Russians Top Tennis Picks for Dubai Championships

The top two seeds for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships are Russian, and they look tough to beat.

Sport betting odds have Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev picked to win, and they are the best players on the field.

The ATP event should be an exciting exhibition of world-class tennis.

1. Medvedev Back in Action

The 28-year-old from Moscow hasn’t been seen since losing to Jannik Sinner in the Australian Open final.

He needed some time off following that defeat, which saw him blow a two-set lead against the young Italian.

Bouncing back from that heartbreak isn’t easy, but Medvedev has one of the best attitudes on the ATP Tour, and he enters our tennis predictions because of that.

The one-time grand slam winner is classy, so we’re not surprised at the attention he’s getting with betting markets.

Expect him to start a touch slow because of his time off the court, but he should hit his straps at the back end of the tournament.

2. Next Level Needed for Rublev

Our sportsbook always respects Rublev because he’s an excellent player.

However, his recent performances haven’t been great, including a quarterfinal loss to an unranked player in Qatar and a quarterfinal loss to Alex de Minaur in Rotterdam.

If Rublev wants to go to the next level, which he can, he needs to start playing better in the ATP circuit events.

The one-time Masters 1000 winner (2023, Monte Carlo), has yet to get past the quarterfinal stages in any grand slam. That’s a concern, but he just needs to work on his mental attitude to progress further.

He’s still the fifth-ranked player in the world, so he demands respect, and bettors should get value tennis odds.

3. Hurkacz Knocking on the Door

Poland player Hubert Hurkacz isn’t far away from posting an overdue ATP win, and he can’t be overlooked.

The 27-year-old plays beyond his years, and although losing in the Round of 16 at Rotterdam last week, his performance at the Australian Open was good.

He lost in the quarterfinal to Medvedev, but he pushed the Russian to the fifth and final set. It was about as close as it gets, so he could upset the tournament favorite.

Tennis betting odds should have Hurkacz in the top three or four selections, and we wouldn’t leave him out of our picks.

He only needs to serve well to make a deep run.

4. Humbert at Value Odds

It’s never easy to back Ugo Humbert, but he has been on tour for years despite being only 25.

The French player isn’t the most consistent player going around, but he’s talented and could win an ATP tournament at any given moment.

With five career titles, including the Open 13 in France earlier this month, Humbert is good enough to beat this level of opposition.

The best thing about following him is his odds. He’s always paying value odds to win, so include him in your tennis bets.
