Plenty of Tennis Picks and Betting Options 2025

  • Defending champions Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka are listed by the tennis odds as the players to beat in the 2025 Australian Open.
  • Is this the year an American player wins the US Open men’s singles title?
  • Novak Djokovic looks to hold off the youngster generation and add to the record Grand Slam singles title haul.
Some history was made as the 2024 tennis season was the first time since 2002 that the trio of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal didn't win at least one Grand Slam men's singles title. Federer and Nadal are both retired. Djokovic is still listed by the tennis odds as a top contender to add to his record total of 24 Grand Slam singles titles. Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina are expected to battle it out for tennis supremacy on the women’s side. Marketa Vondrousova and Barbora Krejcikova won the last two Wimbledon women's singles titles so that is proof that anything can happen when it comes to making tennis news. Let’s look at some of the tennis outright odds with the first of the four Grand Slam titles taking place in January when the Australian Open gets underway.

Who Will Win the next Australian Open?

At the 2024 Australian Open, Jannik Sinner won the men's singles title for the first time while Aryna Sabalenka won her second consecutive Australian Open women's singles championship. Sinner is listed by the tennis odds as the favorite at +175 to win the Australian Open men's singles championship. Carlos Alcaraz had his best showing in Australia in 2024 with a quarterfinal appearance before winning the titles at the French Open and Wimbledon titles. He is priced at +240 in the Australian Open odds followed by Djokovic at +250. Keep an eye on Daniil Medvedev (+700) and Alexander Zverev (+1000) as other players of note in the Australian Open outrights. Taylor Fritz (+3300) has the shortest tennis odds among the U.S.-born men's players. Sabalenka became the first back-to-back women's singles champion at the Australian Open since Victoria Azarenka in 2012 and 2013. Martina Hingis is the last player to win the title three years in a row, winning the last of three straight titles in 1999. Sabalenka comes in at +220 in the Australian Open odds and is the favorite to make it three Australian Open championships in a row. Iga Swiatek has failed to advance beyond the fourth round in five of her previous main draw appearances in Australia. She did reach the semifinals in 2022. Even with her struggles in Australia, Swiatek is second at +325 in the Australian Open odds. American Coco Gauff lost just one set as she played her way into the Australian Open semifinals for the first time before losing to Sabalenka. The tennis odds have Gauff at +450 to become the first U.S. women's player to win the singles title in Melbourne since Sofia Kenin in 2020. Elena Rybakina (+900) and Qinwen Zheng (+1000) are other contenders to keep an eye on. Naomi Osaka, the 2019 Australian Open women's singles champion, is at +2200 in the Australian Open odds. Teen Mirra Andreeva and America Jessica Pegula are both priced at +2500 to win the women's singles title in Melbourne.

Swiatek Hard to Top At French Open

Carlos Alcaraz won his first French Open men's singles title in 2024. He rallied from losing two of the first three sets in the semifinals against Jannik Sinner and in the title match versus Zverev. Clay is considered to be his strongest surface so it is not a surprise that Alcaraz leads the way at +150 in the French Open men's singles odds. Sinner (+300) and Djokovic (+350) could spoil Alcaraz's bid for a repeat. Zverev is the No. 4 favorite at +750 while talented but unpredictable Stefanos Tsitsipas (+1000) could be in the running as well when it comes to the tennis picks. Swiatek has won the last three French Open titles and four of the last women's singles championships at Roland Garros. She is 35-2 in singles at the French Open and comes in at +175 in the tennis odds to win her fifth French Open title. Sabalenka (+400) and Gauff (+700) offer solid value in the tennis betting odds to take the title at Roland Garros.

Can Anybody Beat Sabalenka and Alcaraz At Wimbledon

Sabalenka is the player to beat in the Wimbledon women's singles odds with +330 odds to win it all. She has plenty of company with Swiatek (+450), Elena Rybakina (+500) and Coco Gauff (+900) top contenders. Barbora Krejcikova (+1200) with Naomi Osaka (+1800) among players to watch. They are followed by Jasmine Paolini, Emma Raducanu and Karolina Muchova at +2000 while Ons Jabeur, Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva and Qinwen Zheng have +2200 tennis odds at Wimbledon. Things are kind of tight at the top of the Wimbledon men's singles odds with Alcaraz, the two-time defending champion, the favorite at +130. Sinner's game is made for success on the grass at Wimbledon so he is a solid tennis pick at +220 to win the title with Djokovic (+350) is always a threat to win at Wimbledon. There is a dropoff after the top three with Jack Draper at +1400 and Alexander Zverev at +1600 in the Wimbledon odds.

Plenty of Front-Runners In US Open Outrights

The pecking order is close to the same at the US Open as Sabalenka (+225), Swiatek (+350), Gauff (+600) and Rybakina (+900) lead the way in the women's tennis odds. Zheng (+1200) and Pegula (+1600) can't be discounted when making tennis picks. The US Open odds for the men have Alcaraz and Sinner both at +200 followed by Djokovic at +250. Zverev has +800 to win in New York. Fritz (+2500), Frances Tiafoe (+4000), Ben Shelton (+5000), Sebastian Korda (+6600) and Tommy Paul (+6600) have the best tennis odds among the U.S. men. They are hoping to make tennis news by winning in New York.

Betting On Number of Grand Slam Titles To Generate Some Action

Making tennis picks on the four Grand Slams is not the only way to proceed when betting on tennis. Picking the number of Grand Slam singles titles a player will win in a year is a popular tennis bet. On the men's side, Carlos Alcaraz has +125 odds to win one Grand Slam and +175 odds to win a pair of major titles. For those who think Alcaraz will struggle to win the big events, go with Alcaraz at +300 not to win a Grand Slam title. Alexander Zverev is at +200 to win a Grand Slam title in 2025 with -280 odds to come up empty in the four Grand Slams. Casper Ruud is at +600 to win a major title and -2500 not to win a Grand Slam title. Jannik Sinner is at +150 to win one Slam, and +250 to be the last man standing in two of the Grand Slams compared to odds of +175 and +500 for Djokovic in those categories. A dark horse in the tennis picks is Jack Draper as he is priced at +650 to win a Grand Slam in 2025. Taylor Fritz has the same odds.
