Alcaraz Leads Stacked Tennis Odds for Monte Carlo Masters

Carlos Alcaraz headlines tennis betting markets for the highly anticipated ATP Monte Carlo Masters.

The Spaniard didn’t fire in Miami, but he’s the favorite to prevail in the Masters 1000 event.

Looking to score a minor upset are Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, and all three are worthy favorites.

Is Alcaraz Unders?

Alcaraz has a great chance to win, and he’s in our top two picks, but the betting confidence is surprising.

He lost in the quarters to Gregor Dimitrov in Miami, failing to win a set. That’s a huge concern, especially when putting money down at our sportsbook.

However, Alcaraz often plays his best tennis in the bigger tournaments, and the Monte Carlo Masters is right up there.

He looked much better when winning the Indian Wells Masters, which is why sport betting markets have him favored to win this week.

Alcaraz got past Alex Zverev, Sinner, and Daniil Medvedev in the finals, so that was a great effort.

He should make a deep run and show why he’s the top-ranked player.

Djokovic Isn’t Done Yet

There are talks about the impending retirement of Djokovic, but the champion deserves more respect.

Despite some moderate recent form, including losing to an unheralded player at Indian Wells in the Round of 32, he still has wins left in him.

The 36-year-old Serbian has hit the age where most tennis players have retired, but they don’t make them like Djokovic every day.

He has more heart than any player on tour, and there is value in the odds with betting online markets.

He has had some injury problems to deal with in 2024, which could excuse some of his results. That’s all part of getting older, but a few poor results shouldn’t define his current status as the best of all time.

We’re hoping to see him back to his best in Monte Carlo, and he’s in our tennis best bets.

Value With Medvedev

The Russian lost in the final at Indian Wells to Alcaraz before losing to Sinner in the Miami Open semifinals.

He was rolled in straight sets in both games, including a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Sinner. However, he’s still making it deep into the tournaments.

He has voiced his disdain for clay and grass courts. However, he’s still a good chance of winning in Monte Carlo.

The one-time grand slam winner has a point to prove that he’s not a one-trick pony, and we’re happy to take the risk.

Rune to Go One Better

Holger Rune can be tough to follow at the best of times, but the youngster has more improvement than most.

He’s a clay court specialist, having made the final at this tournament last year. He also made the Italian Open final in 2023 and won the Paris Masters in 2022.

The 20-year-old has two French Open quarterfinals to his name, so if Rune is ever going to cash for bettors, it’s this week.

Despite getting thrashed 6-1, 6-1 at the Miami Open in the Round of 64, which was a shocker, he could bounce back.

It’s all about attitude for the Danish player, who needs to knuckle down and focus on tennis.

At the great odds we’re getting at the sportsbook, we’re including him in our tennis picks.
