The next best in the market are Novak Djokovic and Alex Zverev, with the latter being a good value pick.

3 Picks to Win ATP Madrid

1. Carlos Alcaraz (+220)

The tennis odds for Alcaraz might be on the shorter side of value, but the 21-year-old has reason to play well this week.

After being beaten in the Barcelona Open final to Holger Rune last week, Alcaraz will be determined to bounce back and post a win at the Madrid Open, and he’s a +220 favorite to achieve the feat.

A much better player on clay, Alcaraz should be starting to come into his own. He has largely been disappointing in 2025, but he holds the top seed. He is a proven winner on clay and he needs to start winning tournaments with the French Open on the horizon.

Men’s tennis odds are confident of an Alcaraz win, so he’s worth putting on top.

2. Alexander Zverev (+1000)

I like getting double-figure odds for a player like Zverev, who comes off a win in Munich when beating Ben Shelton in the final.

The best clay court players weren’t there, but it was a good performance from a player who has won more matches than most on the ATP Tour. That’s why the +1000 odds are worth including in ATP predictions.

Zverev is a consistent player and bettors often cash with the German. He enjoys playing on clay courts, and with Alcaraz not winning last week, Zverev could capitalize on his waning confidence levels.

3. Holger Rune (+2200)

Holger Rune is a player I hate to love. He has cost bettors a lot of money throughout his career, but it was good to see him prevail in Barcelona last week.

The talented youngster always had the game to beat the best in the world, but it was his attitude holding him back. With a big ATP win under his belt, he could grab that confidence and run away with it.

My tennis picks can’t leave out Rune at the +2200 odds. I feel as though our BetUS sportsbook isn’t giving him enough credit for his win, and I priced him around +1400 to win the Madrid Open.

At the current ATP odds, Rune can’t be left out of selections.
