Slam Gauff to Win Maiden US Open
US Open odds have Coco Gauff slightly ahead to beat world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final.
We have fancied Gauff from the outset, and the American teenager could do his proud at Flushing Meadows.

She’s the -120 favorite with US Open betting in broader betting markets to beat Sabalenka, who battled past Madison Keys on Thursday night.
The Rising Superstar
When we bet on tennis, we’re trying to find the best value. That was Gauff before the US Open started.
She was a firming +750 chance, and considering how open the women’s draw is, those odds were worth snapping up.
She’s at much shorter odds with the sportsbook against Sabalenka in the final, but that doesn’t mean she’s not worth a wager.
Gauff, who is still only 19 years old, played wonderfully against Karolina Muchova, and that wasn’t a fluke. She has been progressing wonderfully throughout her career, and now is the best time to win her first grand slam.
She has the crowd behind her, which helped against Muchova.
“Some of those points it was so loud, I don’t know if my ears will be OK. Please be louder – this is crazy,” Gauff told the media.
“I grew up watching this tournament, it feels so special. But the job is not done.”
Sabalenka on the Cusp
Despite being sorld No. 1, Sabalenka has only one grand slam win on her record.
She continually gets beaten in the semis, and after losing the first set 6-0 against Keys, it looked likely. Fortunately for her, Keys couldn’t serve out the match on multiple occasions.
Sabalenka, who is the most annoying player on the WTA Tour because of her outlandish screams, is the US Open lines underdog at even-money in broader betting markets.
She is on the cusp of going to another level, and she has the experience and class edge over Gauff. However, if she’s mishitting her power shots, she doesn’t have any backup to go to.
Much like fellow screamer Maria Sharapova before her, 90% of her play comes at the baseline, and there is very little variety. If Gauff is smart, she will take pace off the ball with cut shots.
Sabalenka can never be ruled out with live tennis betting odds, as we saw on Thursday, but she has always been a risky bet.
Gauff vs Sabalenka Head-to-Head
This is the sixth meeting between Gauff and Sabalenka. Gauff has a 3-2 edge, but Sabalenka won the most recent meeting in straight sets earlier this year.

Back the American
We are backing Gauff with confidence for the US Open final. She has played well throughout the tournament, and with the backing of the crowd, she has momentum.
Bettors have to take slightly shorter odds than expected, but lock in Gauff to win her first grand slam title on Saturday.
