USA vs Italy
- USA -400
- Italy +275
USA favored Over Italy
By the overarching tennis futures, the USA is favored at -400 (bet $400 to win $100) to win outright over Italy, priced at +275 (bet $100 to win $275). Below, we look at the individual matchups, the two women’s and men’s singles matchups and the mixed doubles.
Match 1: Jessica Pegula vs Martina Trevisan
Saturday, 7 p.m. ET, Tennis Channel, ESPN
This is the first meeting between Jessica and Martina Trevisan, but with the American ranking inside the Top 5, the betting online markets are skewed heavily in her favor. Underscoring her favorable tennis betting odds further is a recent win over Iga Swiatek in Team USA’s semifinal tie with Poland – her first victory over the current World No. 1.
Pegula stunned the 21-year-old Polish star in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 to set the tone for the Americans in their semifinal against Poland on Friday. Given her form and confidence going into the final, Pegula is quite rightly the runaway favorite to win outright.
Pick: Pegula -700
#3 Jessica Pegula, who lost 8 of 9 sets against #1 Iga Swiatek in 2022, plays one of the best matches of her career to easily win this time: 6-2, 6-2.

Match 2: Frances Tiafoe vs Lorenzo Musetti
Saturday, 9 p.m. ET, Tennis Channel, ESPN
Frances Tiafoe must do something he’s never done if Team USA is to have a chance of winning this tie; that is, beat Lorenzo Musetti for the first time in his career at an ATP-level event.
The pair crossed paths three times, with Musetti taking the 2-1 overall edge, although only one of their previous meetings was at the pro-level. That was two years ago, when Musetti beat Tiafoe in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1) in Acapulco (2021).
Tiafoe enters this matchup as the slight favorite priced at -170 (bet $170 to win $100) despite his 0-1 losing record versus the Italian. Whereas Musetti is the small underdog at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).
Both are coming off solid semifinal performances with Tiafoe overcoming Kasper Zuk 6-3, 6-3 and Musetti steamrolling past Stefanos Sakellaridis 6-1, 6-1. This is a bit of a tossup for tennis picks, raising the potential for the upset.
Pick: Musetti +130

Match 3: Taylor Fritz vs Matteo Berrettini
Sunday, 1 a.m. ET, Tennis Channel, ESPN
American Taylor Fritz has the 2-0 head-to-head edge over Berrettini having beaten the Italian twice on a hard court in 2019 and 2021, respectively. In these two matches, the 25-year-old dropped just one set.
Berettini has had a mixed tournament and is coming off a three-set loss to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semis. Fritz, by contrast, got the Americans the win with his narrow 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) win over Hubert Hurkacz in the third rubber of USA’s tie with Poland. Fritz is coming off a standout 2022 campaign, giving him the slight betting edge over the Italian. However, Berrettini is a former Top 10 player and one that can’t be overlooked.
Pick: Berrettini +110

Match 4: Madison Keys vs Lucia Bronzetti
Sunday, 3 a.m. ET, Tennis Channel, ESPN
Madison Keys appears to have a straightforward contest against Lucia Bronzetti, though the pair have never crossed paths at a WTA event. Keys took care of Magda Linette in the semis, beating the Pole 6-4, 6-2. She is a perfect 4-0 in the competition, winning all four of her matches and dropping just one set along the way.
Match 5: Mixed Doubles
Sunday, 4:30 a.m. ET, Tennis Channel, ESPN
Should the tie come down to the mixed doubles rubber, it’s an almost 50-50 proposition. Pegula and Fritz have been solid together in this role and are the favorites at -300 (bet $300 to win $100). But the Italians won’t roll over with the combination of Trevisan and Berrettini or Musetti and Rosatello.
Pick: Trevisan/Berrettini +225
- Pick: Italy +275
