Kasatkina Upsets Sabalenka
Kasatkina went into her quarterfinal match against Sabalenka as the significant underdog. The No. 7 seed Russian was also tipped as one of the longer bets in tennis betting futures markets to win the tournament, despite being last year’s finalist.
Going into the last eight, Kasatkina was the sixth overall best bet at +700 to win the title on the tennis odds board – only American Shelby Rogers and Veronika Kudermetova had longer odds at the time. On the flip side, Sabalenka was the fourth-best bet to win the tournament at +500.
Tale told Kasatkina didn’t get the memo as she went on to dismiss Sabalenka in a three-set marathon, coming from a set down to win 4-6, 7-5, 6-0.

The 18-year-old American went into the match as the firm favorite across the sportsbook exchange and while she gave Badosa a run, the Spaniard persevered to win 7-6 (4), 6-2.
The 25-year-old Spaniard was tipped as a middleweight contender from the start, with Jabeur, Gauff, Anisimova, and Sabalenka amongst several others favored over her.
Things didn’t improve for Badosa ahead of the quarters either, as she was tipped as the fifth-best bet at at +650 to win the title.
And yet, following Friday’s thrilling quarterfinal round, she emerged as the highest seed left standing. As a result, she’s now installed as the top favorite to win outright at +175.

Kasatkina vs Badosa Betting Verdict
At this stage of the tournament, it’s anybody’s game to win and that makes this a tossup for tennis picks.
Both players are one win away from reaching the final. They’re also coming off upset wins in the quarterfinals.
Confidence should be high as both are enjoying a good run of form in San Jose. Badosa has the slight edge on this surface having beaten Kasatkina on hard courts earlier this year, but the Russian is a feisty, all-surface competitor.
That said, ff there’s one thing that might tip the balance one way or another, it’s time on the court. Kasatkina played a more exhaustive quarterfinal match against Sabalenka. She was pushed to the limit in the three-setter, unlike Badosa who took care of business with relative ease against Coco Gauff.
