Welcome to the BetUS Soccer channel. I’m Flash. It’s La Liga Show, it’s match day 36. Matt, there’s only three games to go. We know that the top has already gone to Barcelona. But let’s concentrate on the bottom because with three games to go there is… Getafe, Valladolid, Espanyol, we’re even talking about Celta Vigo, we’re talking about as high as probably Almería and Cádiz. They won at the weekend. They kept a clean sheet, they scored goals, which is just unbelievable and that three points could go a long way to keeping them in LaLiga for next year.

After his impressive performance last time I have… I’m lucky enough to have Matt Clark back from LaLiga Lowdown. Matthew Clark it says on there, but Matthew, you are not in school, you haven’t done anything wrong, so I’m going to call you Matt. Now on the other side of the coin, Pavlos will be known as Pavlos because he’s been bad. He has been very bad. He picked 28 games last week and things didn’t go our way even though he predicted plenty yellows and a red in the Sevilla derby, Pavlos.

Pavlos:

Yeah, well looking back at last week’s results, I don’t know. They look so weird but so justified at the same time. There was… Atlético Madrid easily won, especially at home. Betis got a red card, which I don’t know how this one past me. I went with the yellow cards, all the cards in total. But yeah, Betis getting a red card was probably the way to go since Betis have steadily had the most red cards in LaLiga all season. But other than that, Real Madrid didn’t win, which we will talk about this when we cover that match. And Sociedad scored in that first half, six minute as well. So yeah, all in all it was a weird match day but not so much at the same time.

Flash:

I’ll tell you what it was. The information was absolutely top class because we actually mentioned the fact that Sociedad was a total value against Barcelona. We said you cannot touch Real Madrid maybe on the unders there. Everything we said basically did come, but it was finding then how you fitted in our picks. Matt, what are you making of this? Because you’re thinking that some teams think they’ve done enough and it might just come and bite them on the backside.

Matt:

Yeah, it’s that strange time of season where some teams are still going for everything and other teams are kind of on the beach already or haven’t really got so much to play for. So at the top, the top three are kind of cemented really. Atlético, the only team that are trying to get second. Madrid are done basically. Barca are done, they’re champions. So then you’ve got a bit on the top four race, you’ve got a bit on the European race and then obviously at the bottom, but then you’ve kind of got the cluster in the middle where it’s very hard to predict. I mean, when I was on last time Celta were right in the middle and now they’ve been sucked right in. So yeah, teams like Mallorca, they’re also very inconsistent and hard to predict. But yeah, it’s that strange time of the season when things are kind of winding down but yet for some teams it’s the biggest games of their seasons.

Flash:

Okay and obviously you are not a silly man. What was the reaction you got when you mentioned Celta Vigo when you was last on?

Matt:

Yeah, I went for them and you were like don’t touch Celta and you were right.

Flash:

And what have you done this time? Why is it on my shelf again?

Matt:

Why not?

Flash:

We don’t go near Celta. Celta have done us no favors. If they win, we have gone with the other team double chance. If they lose, we went with Celta. It’s unbelievable how they find a way to do it. We went with under two and a half goals once, it was like one-one in a 99th minute and they scored to kill us. They find a way. It’s almost like it’s… No. But anyway, yes they do play Girona at home and we will be covering that game. Let’s have a quick look at records. Records have been… We’ve been wounded to be honest. LaLiga Lowdown minus six and that’s because Paco was on and he did a great job. He really did do a great job to get some units back for us, [inaudible 00:04:32] the week, saving up. Pavlos a little bit wounded after the weekend even though your information was second to none but Matt it’s all onto you. We brought you on. We’re 20 minutes to go and we’re two-nil down and the manager says go on and get me a hat-trick. Don’t ask for too much.

Okay, let’s have a little look at the first game. It’s Sociedad versus Almería. Both of these teams need points or a point. Sociedad trying to fend off Villarreal at the top and at minus 215. Almería just need maybe a couple of points to make sure LaLiga is still their status for next year. The draw is at plus 360. Under over three goals, I thought the under at minus 130, Matt was probably the way to go. I don’t see there being plenty goals here and certainly not four.

Matt:

Yeah, I’d agree with that. I reckon I do fancy Real Sociedad to win this game. They know they need two wins to seal top four from the last three games. And at the weekend they would’ve seen Villarreal win at the last minute against Girona. Underneath, that’s like a sucker punch but then they go to Camp Nou and produce a great performance to beat Barca. So they’re definitely still in the groove in the top four race and I’m hoping they get there just for a bit of variety really. It’s been I think 10 years since they were last in the competition. And at home they’re generally very solid, generally very few goals in their home games. See, I’m thinking maybe a one-nil, two-nil potentially here and Almería’s away form is pretty bad despite their… Obviously great result at home the other day.

Flash:

Yeah, Almería are one of those sides at home, you go against them at your peril. Maybe on the road you can definitely fire a few darts. Pavlos, Sociedad, are we starting to think now that we’re going to see the Sociedad from two months ago when you could rely on them, keep clean sheets, very tight, very competitive? But now they’ve got Villarreal chasing them. They probably need one win. In fact they only need one win.

Pavlos:

Yeah, well they’re tricky. This Real Sociedad side has been tricky this season. The season before that we saw that they go into long streaks wherever they are winless or unbeaten. They tend to go that way and now there is no reason for us to doubt them being on a good streak. In fact they’re coming of a two-one win against Barcelona on the road. Of course we’re under different circumstances so this could have been a much tougher game for them. But now that Barcelona are… They were celebrating, they were much more loose in the sense that they didn’t need the win, they didn’t need the point. Real Sociedad took advantage and they know that the value of that win is big but it’s not as big as it would’ve been if it was mid-season or something. But still, they’re in really good form right now. Defense is, I want to say good but it hasn’t been perfect like it used to be like one, two seasons ago.

Almería especially on the road. But overall there on a ten to one run for the both teams to score. 11 and no run to the over two and a half goals. They score goals, they could steal goals especially on the road. Most of their losses are… The other team wins but they do score. So yeah, Almería, I mean I could see them losing to nil here but you never know what’s going to happen with remaining matches. So if they lose to nil and all the other teams below them somehow win… It’s a messy situation and I don’t think that Almería…

Even though they do struggle on the road, they do score goals. So I think this is going to be one of the matches where Almería won’t give up and they’ll try to either throw themselves back into the match or take something from this one. So I’m going to take goals here because I do see goals but the over three I think is a bit much because you need four goals to get a win. Three goals is a push. So I went a different way which gets you paid in the event of exactly three goals.

Flash:

So both seems to score and over two-one. Sociedad, I guess you’re going to be going with. Now it’s amazing how the fixtures when they come out like last July because if you are Sociedad and you are playing against Barcelona with four games to go, you are seriously thinking you are up against it. But because of the way that things have panned out, they got to hit on a Barcelona side that weren’t really bothered and now they’re massive favorites to be in the Champions League, which has been a long, long while since that’s happened.

Okay, let’s have a little look at the official Soccer picks. Both teams scoring over two and a half at plus 120. I think you are asking for a lot there because Almería not to score is plus 120 as well. So that is a flip of a coin. Sociedad minus one at minus 135. So maybe a free hit. We expect Sociedad to win and it’s all about the W and that’s what may just bring in under three of Sociedad, just making sure that they win the game and don’t give Almería any chances whatsoever.

Okay, let’s move on to game number two. Oh yeah, Celta Vigo at plus 105. Girona plus 260. Draw plus 250. Celta at minus 105 to score twice. Girona are minus 245. So that I don’t understand here. So over two and a half goals is minus 115 and yet all the numbers are telling you this is either one-one or two-one to the home side, Pavlos.

Pavlos:

We had a lot of time to talk about Celta, it’s been a while so let’s talk about Celta. At the start of the season they were so bad that they were battling relegation and then they picked up a lot of slack. They did a really good run actually and then they misled us to believe that they’re actually fighting for Europe, for the top spots, top six, top seven. But now they’ve done it again, they’ve just won… They just won one of their last… What is it?

Flash:

I mean, four straight defeats.

Pavlos:

And they can’t stop conceding goals. Their offense has been quiet as of late. So I really don’t know what…

Flash:

Pavlos, sorry to interrupt you here, but we’ve got to point this out to people, right? They’ve scored 40 goals and they’ve let in 50. That tells you everything you need to know. That if they score two, the other team are going to score, they score one, the other team are going to score two. It’s crazy that they’re averaging one and a half goals either against or I mean you… Look they’ve lost, lost, lost, lost and then they’ll go and win two and you think, oh well done Celta. Do you think they’re still in trouble? 39, four points off the danger zone, the drop zone.

Pavlos:

Very much so. That’s why I said their season started with them battling relegation, then they went on to actually challenge the top seven. Now they’re back to battling relegation because they’re just four points above with three more matches to go. Of course they are. Mathematically they can still be relegated. So I don’t really know what’s the psychology in the Celta camp here, but Girona, they’ve shown that they don’t give… They don’t care who you are, they’re going to drop multiple goals on you. Of course they can’t keep clean sheets either. So I believe that there should be goals in this one. Specially with Girona actually, I’m very much in the chase for the seventh spot. So maybe both into scoring over two and a half goals. If I absolutely had to bet on something that would be…

Flash:

Yeah, we wouldn’t go anywhere near Celta or winning even if it’s plus 105. Girona, Matt do you think that Girona, they’d get… Listen what are they at the moment? They’re like two points behind Athletic Club but they’ve got chances especially with Celta. Celta are a type of side that even if they were four from bottom they’d think they were safe.

Matt:

Yeah, I can see Girona going there and getting a result. I think they’ve been very impressive in the last few months. Of course there was that fantastic four-two victory over Real Madrid. They performed well against Barca this season. They’ve won away at Athletic Club. So yeah, I see no reason why they can’t go to Celta and get a result. Yeah, like you say, Celta, they’re just sleepwalking into it. They’ve hardly picked up a point. I think the only win they’ve had in the last 10 is Elche and I think was the last minute goal. So yeah, they’re in real bad form. This is kind of the classic Celta cycle though because we seem to do this every season with them. Their season effectively starts 10 or 15 games in from the rest and then that’s when they change the coach and start again and then they tail off by the end, and then at the start of next season if they haven’t already changed, it’ll go the same way and then they’ll make a change and go again.

So we’ve seen this many times with Celta. It’s exactly the same with Chacho Coudet. He came in, did really well and it tailed off and he was sacked. Carvalhal, he’s come in and started off really well. That effect has seemed to have really nose dived in the last couple of months. And they’ll probably think of it as one or two more points and they will be safe and they’re probably right because what? They’re on 39, so if Valencia are on 40 if we’re saying they’re safe then Celta just need a couple of points. But like I say if they do play for a draw at home I think Girona can take advantage for that. But yeah, for me I quite fancy Girona win or that draw.

Flash:

Yeah, I think at minus 125 Girona double chances probably the way to go. Let’s move on though. The draws at plus 250 if you just wanted to go. We can’t split it. I might go down the middle. Let’s have a little look at the official picks because you know that myself and Pavlos, we are barred, our name is not on the list and we are not coming in. Girona draw no bet at massive plus 117. Remember, they around plus 260 to win the game outright against Celta Vigo side. There is only one-one in their last 10.

Let’s move on to game number three. Because friend of the show, Valladolid at home is definitely a friend of the show but at plus 260 against Barcelona at minus 105. Let me just get my crystal ball out, seven or eight weeks ago, Valladolid would be plus 1100 and now they’re like 20% or 80% less. Barcelona minus 105. The draw is at plus 290. Under over three, the over three at minus 105. It’s all about the away side. Barcelona at minus 135 to score twice, they score twice they win the game. But I’m not sure Matt, what Barcelona are bringing to the table at a moment.

Matt:

Yes, it’s a fair point. They obviously won the league, they’ve already been given the trophy, they’ve done their parade so it really is kind of on the beach now and looking ahead to what was going to be another dramatic summer of potential wins and outs. So yeah, it is quite difficult to predict this. I do think though with the form Valladolid are in, they are on paper the worst form side in the league. They’ve lost each of the last five and they are kind of in free fall. Another team that made a change, got an initial new manager bounced, under Pezzolano and then now they’re just really struggling. There was that brilliant game against Atlético where it was, I think it was a seven goal thriller and they really pushed Atleti all the way, but once they’ve lost that game they’ve only scored one or two goals ever since then. So they are struggling in front of goal and they can’t keep clean sheets either. So for me even a kind of half paced Barca should be able to find the back of the net.

Flash:

Yeah, I mean you’re looking at Valladolid, 62 goals that they’ve let in. But Pavlos, you just keep cashing or pushing Valladolid first half, draw no bet or pick ’em. Are you going to do that well again, regardless of the opposition?

Pavlos:

Yes I am because if it was in different match maybe I wouldn’t but now Valladolid are under the relegation zone and they need all the points they can get and I’ve seen their matches at home, I’ve seen a lot of their matches at home. They play very good not only on the defense but also on the offense. And even though they haven’t scored many goals, they are very good. They play… They’ve looked their opponent in the eye and no team has had it easy in the first half, second half is a totally different story but in first halves, I don’t know what big of a pep talk the coach does in the dressing room but for whatever reason they come out of the gates fired up and ready to go.

So I believe especially with Barcelona being in the state that they are right now, I believe that they can at least not lose because it all depends on how Barcelona will approach this. Is Lewandowski going to say I’m going to drop two on these suckers? I don’t know but what I do know for sure is that Valladolid are going to come out with knives in their mouth like this, exactly like they do in every home match. And of course with their survival in the league being at stake giving that pick ’em and I think it’s a very big price. And worst case scenario it’s a [inaudible 00:17:32]. So I’m looking at Valladolid here guys, once again.

Flash:

Yeah, the big problem you got with Valladolid who are actually sitting in that trap door position, third from bottom they are, but the goal difference, and I wrote this down and it was like minus 32 because they’ve only scored 30 but they’ve let in 62, so they’re going to need to get that one extra point. Even if they find a win in the last three games, they’re going to need at least four and hope that the teams above them don’t pick up any more.

Let’s have a little look at the official picks. All got involved here and we’ve got involved at different reasons. First off, Valladolid pick ’em at plus 155. So again it’s a free hit if Barca don’t score. For me, I just didn’t see four goals. I just thought that Barca toy like cat with the mouse, they keep the ball and that’s the end of that. Barcelona halftime full-time at plus 200. Okay three different people, three different… We’ve got a vegetarian, a vegan and a meat eater all sitting asking the chef to knock them up something tasty. We can’t all be getting our food first up but under three at minus 115 is my selection.

Let’s move on. Villarreal, they need wins and they need to win basically. They at minus 190. Cádiz plus 525 and they had an unbelievable win but home side on a Friday night and they kept a clean sheet. Two-nil at home gives them a three point cushion sitting bottom five. Draw is at plus 335. Pavlos, I just see Villarreal scoring more than two but the minus 175 scored two but the minus one is a… They win the game Villarreal at minus 120. I’m not having Cádiz and I’m having Villarreal scoring twice.

Pavlos:

Yeah, I mean there is literally no reason to not like that simply because Villarreal again were also a tricky side and right now with their eyes on the prize, with the prize being that fifth spot, maybe they can climb to fourth if somehow Real Sociedad mess it up really badly in the last three matches. Again, with one eye in the Champions League [inaudible 00:19:45] above them, I think Villarreal… They’re very much locked into a good form and whenever they’re in a situation like this, they rarely mess it up, especially against teams like Cádiz. And they’ve been scoring a lot, their difference is not that good so far in the season. I think all season they’ve struggled to be as good as they were last season. Cádiz, however on the road they’re nothing special taking things very, very slowly. Even if they score a goal they’re very, very, very constipated on the road.

So I don’t think that Villarreal have a danger of not getting the three points here. However, Cádiz will have to say that… It’s difficult to predict how that’s a team because they’re also in the taste, not in the taste, in the fight of relegation. Just three points above the relegation zone. So you never know how this match is going to go. And unless something clear appears to me, I tend to stay away from these matches because what if Cádiz scores a goal and then parks the bus, what then? But yeah, normally I think Villarreal go one-nil up, Cádiz will look for an equalizer, Villarreal score another one and then it’s all over. So it’s probably how it’s going to go.

Flash:

No, Cádiz is taking the night off. They taking the night off because they only need probably three points to be guaranteed. Their last two games Valladolid and Elche. Cádiz ain’t bothering thinking Villarreal are out. They are resting and they are thinking we can get the points needed because if they beat Valladolid that means Valladolid then can’t get them. Everyone beats Elche anyway even though Elche have had a bit of spirit, Matt. But Villarreal, listen to this, this is brilliant and it couldn’t have worked out any better. Sociedad go to Atlético Madrid at the weekend. Villarreal go to Atlético Madrid next week. So Villarreal winning this game is probably their first hurdle and hope to get a Champions League place because if they win this week and then Sociedad lose, it’s going down to the final game and I think Sociedad, I think they’ve got Sevilla. It’s brilliant, three games to go. I love it.

Matt:

It would be great if it does go all the way to the end just to keep the drama going for all the viewers and lovers of LaLiga. What I would say is that I think the timing of fixtures is quite important at this stage of the season. So by the start of this kickoff, this is Wednesday’s game so Villarreal will already know what Real Sociedad have done on the Tuesday. So if they’ve beaten Almería there’ll be eight points behind with only nine left to play. So they’ll almost be thinking it’s pretty much impossible that we can catch them now. So that might play into the psyche a little bit.

And also interestingly, I know we heavily fancy Villarreal in this game and I agree with that but as Pavlos hinted at, these are the types of games they’ve stumbled on in the past and Cádiz are unbeaten in the last three against Villarreal. We had a three-three in the last fixture at this stadium, and then we’ve had a nil-nil, and a one-nil at Cádiz’s ground. So they’re slight [inaudible 00:22:58] team in the last couple of meetings, so you never quite know. Just for fans of kits, this is also great because Cádiz and Villarreal being the two yellow teams, this is pretty much the only game that Cádiz will not have to wear their yellow kits. So we get to see a rare away Cádiz shirt which is quite nice.

Flash:

Yeah, I’ll tell you what though, the Sociedad win, they go eight points clear. Villarreal beat Cádiz, they’re then five, then all of a sudden Villarreal win at the weekend, Atlético Madrid see off Sociedad, it’s then two and then that means that… And this is the other bit, that the draw for Sociedad against Sevilla is no good because they would’ve lost a game and already before we start that, Villarreal have a plus three goal difference over Sociedad. I love it. It’s like a mini champion… Well it is. It’s like a bit better than winning the Champions League if you weren’t in it. Do you know what I mean? Because Villarreal have been awful all season. They have no right to be anywhere near top four and now they’ve not been any better than they are now.

Let’s have a little look at the official pick. There I am, Villarreal minus one minus 120. They win the game, they win it. So it’s just whether you pick up minus 120. Let’s move on. Could be some fireworks in this one because Espanyol at plus 190. Host probably the form side in the LaLiga at plus 140. Very impressive at the weekend, keeping a clean sheet, scoring three and looking like they want to play on the front foot again, which is always a nice thing with Atlético. Draw is at plus 255. Matt you can go first. Over two and a half goals is at minus 125. Do we see Atlético just going there and getting a job done or is Espanyol going to put up a fight?

Matt:

I think Espanyol will put up a bit of a fight and I think there could be a few goals in this one but I must say the game of the weekend, I’m not sure how Espanyol won that. They needed it. And I must say I thought they were gone. I thought they were going to go along with Elche and it’d be one relegation place from three or four teams. But Espanyol got that all important win away at Rayo and just dragged themselves back into the fight. All of their play comes through Sergi Darder pretty much. He is the linchpin of that side. Yes, we know Joselu scores a lot of goals for them but for me, Darder is a team that just drives them forward from midfield to attack and if he has a good game then they’ve got a chance of finding the back of the net.

As for Atleti, yeah we know they’ve been really good lately even without Jan Oblak in goal. And they’re racking the goals and they’re sharing it around. I mean, Correa, Carrasco, Griezmann, they’re all getting on the score sheet and it looks to be quite a harmonious camp at the moment and of course they want to finish second, to finish above Real Madrid and it’s quite likely. They do have tough fixtures at the end of the season as we touched on, they have two European chasing teams but they’ll go to Espanyol and think this is another chance for us to get another three points.

Flash:

The big number that wanted me to get involved in this Pavlos was Atlético to score twice at plus 120 because all the numbers on that board are saying Espanyol nil, Atlético one.

Pavlos:

Well, I wouldn’t… No actually Espanyol, they’ve been the epitome of both teams to score and over two and a half goals all season. We say it in every show. They proved it again but I was expecting it personally. I was expecting it to be the other way around. Rayo Vallecano winning by two to one. I think I almost predicted that much perfectly last week. But somehow as you guys said, Espanyol found the, I don’t know, the strength, the mental strength, the heart, the whatever you want to call it and they beat Rayo. They’re going to fight against Atlético Madrid that’s for sure. The profile of their matches is very… No, usually both teams to score. They usually concede in the first half and then they try to make it up in the second, but they also concede in the second. So it’s usually they’re one-nil down in the first half and then there’s like two-one, three-one in the second half.

So Atlético Madrid, they’ve lost some of their defensive strength that they have in previous years. They did try to find it as of late but in their last two or three matches they didn’t hit [inaudible 00:27:19] apart from Osasuna. So all in all I think we’ll see a very similar match as you see. By the way, both teams to score is on a six and one round between the two sides. So yes, Espanyol, they don’t care about Atlético Madrid good defense even in years past. So yes, to be honest, my first thought about this match was both teams to score but then I said it was a very low price and I have to pair it up with something. I didn’t see something else. Hopefully somebody did but I think for me the baseline is both teams to score and then you go to either side or over or under something.

Flash:

Okay, I think Atlético score twice at plus 120. I think if they score two they win the game. That’s a little look at the official picks. Atlético and both teams to score at plus 320. Paco’s been on the phone to Matt, he’s been like, hey don’t be messing about with any of them minus 110s. Get yourself a couple of 320s. Plus 320 Atlético to win and both teams score. But you can definitely see a way at Espanyol.

Let’s go on to game number six. Betis at plus 100. Getafe plus 305. Getafe fighting for their lives. The draw is at plus 230. Pavlos, under over is set at just two and the over is at minus 125. Getafe double chance here at minus 120. I think it means more to the away side and the away side, at least they’ve got good organization.

Pavlos:

But again two teams fighting for different things. Betis, they’re not so much in danger but still they want to keep that sixth spot and the Europa League ticket that comes with it. Getafe again, are one of the teams that are in actually a very bad situation right now. They’re likely to be sitting above the relegation zone. We should keep in mind that the tiebreakers are the head-to-head matches, not the goal difference. So there is a lot of studying about which teams have beaten which teams and which teams are above what other teams. So it’s a bit of a messy situation but as far as this match goes, traditionally matches between Getafe and Betis don’t really have a lot of goals. Both teams to score is on a 16 [inaudible 00:29:38] round between the two sides, just one over in that pan.

So you never really know what you’re going to get with Betis. They wake up and chose violence today, you bet on their cards. Did they wake up and said, okay we’re a good side, we have a good coach, good roster, we need the points, let’s go and win? Sometimes it’s not that simple with Betis. I don’t know why the fluctuation in their psychological state and reactions. But this Betis side has been a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde all season. So you never know what you’re going to get. Now you have Getafe who are also looking for points, not just points, they need to win. Maybe a draw is not even enough for them. So strange match, I don’t really know where to go with this one.

Flash:

Okay, Pavlos doesn’t know where to go. For me, I favor the away side because again Betis suspensions and you cannot rely on them to actually finish the game with 10 men. So you know Getafe, they’re up for a fight. Betis don’t back down. There’s got to be fireworks then, Matt.

Matt:

Yeah, I haven’t gone on this game for any official picks but I do think there’ll be cards in this game. I think that’s almost a guarantee. Yeah, Betis have had more red cards than any other side in LaLiga this season and Getafe [inaudible 00:30:55] notoriously tough tackling, rugged, in your face type of team. Yeah, I mean for one of the last, this is going to be quite a strange one because it’s the first time he’s faced Betis since the Copa final of last season, which of course Betis won on penalties against his Valencia side.

So yeah, he is back at Getafe which is where he made his name and it hasn’t gone brilliantly so far. I think they’ve got one win in three or four games so he knows they need the wins and I think you’re right Flash, this could be a place where they could take advantage of Betis being in the midweek after the derby and it’s a bit of an afterthought when Betis are probably looking good for at least sixth place and Getafe obviously as you say, probably far more in need of the three points than Betis.

Flash:

Yep and while we’re talking about Betis and Getafe, welcome to Mike Hawke. He said he loves the show, he is a new subscriber. Well listen every single one of you, welcome. And if you’re new then I love the fact that you are new and you’ve just jumped straight in the deep end and started typing away. That’s what it’s there for. I love that. And obviously if you start talking nonsense, we don’t mind that as well but get ready because I will be loaded and firing. Let’s have a little look. Getafe plus 0.5 minus 120. I see them getting something and if plus 0.5, that’s another word for double chance.

Let’s look at the final game, and by the way, I’ve just seen that Getafe’s final game of the season, Valladolid. Valladolid have got it in their own hands really. They can win their final two games against the relegation strugglers around them, they’re going to be okay. Big big ask. Real Madrid versus Rayo. Real Madrid at minus 135 is trapper a gift. Rayo at plus 365 for me, they are absolutely on holiday. The draw is at plus 290. Matt, how do we get value here? Because the under over is set at two and a half with a minus 135. Is this like Real Madrid just cozy two-nil win?

Matt:

Potentially, I can’t see a lot of goals in this one to be honest because I mean Real Madrid as you say, they’re on the beach, they’re out of the Champions League, they’ve got nothing to rotate or rest for. So they kind of put a decent side out but not a phenomenally star-studded one. Benzema hasn’t looked himself lately and of course Vinícius will be suspended after the incidents at Mestalla on Sunday. So yeah, Madrid’s probably go with the front three of Rodrygo, Asensio and Benzema perhaps and maybe Carlo will mix it up in midfield with Tchouaméni and potentially Ceballos again. So yeah, Rayo have a chance here if they play their cards right. I remember kind of a similar sort of game last season. Barca was second at the time and they went to Camp Nou and beat them late on in the season. So you could have something similar on the cards here, but I don’t see many goals in this game. So I think under two and a half is decent value there.

Flash:

It is at plus 115 because that means you could probably move it up and go, Pavlos, go under three goals in the game, which means only four beats your three, you get a push maybe what? Minus 125 it’ll be.

Pavlos:

I see goals here. So I don’t really look into under, into odds for the under. There are several ways, several reasons why I like goals here. First reason and the biggest one is that yes, Real Madrid, they don’t really care about any points anymore but still they are professional players, they’re playing at home, they still want to get revenge on the other teams. Actually they lost back-to-back matches. That doesn’t happen very often. I look at their matches in the last couple of seasons and they’ve lost back-to-back matches just five times and whenever they lose back-to-back matches, they bounce back in a spectacular manner and they bounce back with wins.

No matter if it’s the start of the season, the middle of the season or the end of the season. And whenever they meet, whenever they host Rayo Vallecano, we see fireworks. And let me tell you just a bit about some final scores in matches at Madrid between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano. 10 and two, 10 to two back in 2015. Five to one, five to nil, six to two, three to one, three to one, four to one, four to nil. Something happens and Rayo Vallecano they sit down in this venue.

Again, they need some points because I do believe that they still can mathematically challenge the seventh spot. Of course if they had more points in their weekend match, over the weekend maybe this would have been an easier quest but now there’s still four points behind Bilbao in the fifth spot. Yes, with three teams in between, I do not think that Rayo Vallecano are indifferent in this match. So maybe they can assist in the scoring, but I do see Real Madrid bouncing back and a lot of goals here. So maybe both teams scoring over two and a half goals and [inaudible 00:35:52] for you to pick, but the odds on that one were just a bit too low for my liking. So I went for a big prize. I think it makes sense.

Flash:

Okay, I’m just looking here. I’m thinking Rayo were at plus 165 not to score. That’s almost giving Rayo a gold star. And Real Madrid at minus 145 to score twice. Let’s have a little look at official picks because Real Madrid and Rayo is a really, really dodgy game. I mean, it’s a lineup check basically to see if we can… We’ve got some goals in that starting forward line and who plays in midfield as well is another big factor because we need the creativity. I’m not sure that Vallecano score. Real Madrid at over two and a half at plus 150 brings in the three-nil and you’re not relying on one side, but that’s a nice price of Real Madrid and over two and half at plus 150.

Okay, Rayo got smashed by City. Yep. Okay, let’s have a little look here. It was like men playing against [inaudible 00:37:10]. They’re having their own private conversation in the chat. Don’t mind that. Let’s have a little look at the best bets and see if someone actually wants to ask a question. Oh, [inaudible 00:37:19], Villarreal minus one minus 120. I see it as a free hit because Cádiz, they’re not expecting anything. Not when they’ve got two of the bottom three to play in order to survive. So Villarreal minus one at minus 120 is [inaudible 00:37:32], meaning a banker and that’s two units, if you’ve just joined us for the first time. Valladolid, Barcelona under three at minus 115. For me, Getafe a double chance minus 120, which is also plus 0.5.

Matt is gone for Sociedad minus one at minus 135. You could almost go Sociedad and Villarreal in a parlay. Girona draw no bet plus 170. Barcelona halftime full-time at plus 200. Atlético and both teams to score at the massive Paco price of plus 320. And Pavlos has gone Sociedad, Almería, both teams to score over two and half at plus 120. First half Valladolid pick ’em plus 155. Don’t worry about that first half business. Whoever they’re playing still comes back and wins second half. Real Madrid and over two and half at plus 150.

No questions. Everyone in the chat, thumbs up on your way out. Show a bit of love for a… Hold on. Did I miss a question then? No, sorry. Best anytime goalscorer this week. Thank you producer. Thank you. Have you got a anytime goalscorer? Who do we think scores, Matt?

Matt:

Nico Jackson, Villarreal. He’s in really fine form. He’s scoring and assisting a lot lately. It’s mad to think that had he not had a hamstring injury in January, he would’ve been playing for Bournemouth now, but he failed that medical. And then got back into plans for Setién and he’s firing on all cylinders towards the end of the season, so he’s probably the most likely to notch.

Flash:

Who we got scoring for Atlético Madrid? Who do we think? Pavlos, any ideas who might score for Celta Vigo?

Pavlos:

No.

Matt:

Not Aspas.

Flash:

No, exactly. Definitely not Aspas.

Pavlos:

[inaudible 00:39:15] Aspas. I mean he threw away his whole career playing for Celta. And did they ever go to Europe? When last [inaudible 00:39:24].

Matt:

[inaudible 00:39:24] Europa League. Same year that United won it.

Flash:

Yeah, like cup winners cup, it was called in them days. Do you know what I mean? No. Come on now. So yeah, we’ve given you one. Don’t be greedy, but if you wanted to go for another one, then look at maybe the Atlético Madrid players because they are creating chances. They look like they’re scoring goals every time they go forward and they are playing against Espanyol, so it could be anything. Maybe Correa, maybe Carrasco who obviously like London buses, you wait a few weeks and they to come along at the same time. So, okay, from Pavlos… Matty, good to have you back mate. Remember what I said, we’re two-nil down with only 20 minutes ago, so it’s a hat-trick or you’ll be back on the bench. From everyone at Bet US, you take care.
