Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Welcome to the BetUS Soccer Channel, your home of soccer betting. It is Match Day 14 in the Bundesliga show and we’re America’s favorite sportsbook for a reason. So, please subscribe and ring the bell. Ring the bell means we’ll notify you and you’ll never miss any content again. Like today, we’ve got Bundesliga, then we’ve got La Liga ending with Serie A. Tomorrow we’ve got two World Cup shows. The first one, 11 o’clock Eastern will be groups A, B, C, and D. And at two o’clock Eastern it will be E, F, G, and H. We’ll talk about all sorts. There’ll be maybe top goal scorer outright maybe to win the group, maybe even to get knocked out in a certain round. We’ll have proper experts and we will have a real good discussion building up for the next two weeks. Now, also if you’re on social media, then please follow @BetUSTV because there will be late updates there.
There was one from myself and then I get done by a dodgy penalty, which was the story of my weekend. To be honest. Outside of the Bundesliga also is a link in description that will take you over there. Go and join and then your name or number will come back to me and then I’ll be able to notify you if you’re successful in winning a shirt. We’ll have records and we’ll also have a Q&A. So, make sure you get yourselves in the chat. And it should be a jubilant chat because my two experts and I, +8.66 units of profit this weekend. I don’t know how to introduce him anymore because it’s almost like I should be bailing to bow down like this.
Because he’s the voice of European soccer who, funnily enough, when I’ve been betting in games recently, he’s been my voice on my TV. So, I’m happy with that. But he’s also been Nostradamus because the Anytime Goalscorer had it just clicked, and clicked, and clicked. So, that’s Kevin Hatchard, and on the other side, his partner. He’s the man that just loves drama and chaos in the last five minutes of games. And the good thing is, it’s @AlexClassicTips, not having a good time of it at the moment, but you know what it’s like? It’s like my star player, he’s just going to get himself ready for to get into form and he will then steam because… Boys, what a great weekend of Bundesliga action.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, it was great. We had lots of goals, which is obviously good for Anytime Goalscorer betters, but he called me. Nostradamus, you’re flying as well, Flash. And actually I have to give you props for the Leverkusen shout because I have to say on price I didn’t see that at all. Obviously, Union collapsed in the second half. What’s going to be fascinating actually is what then happens next because Leverkusen have to then take that on. It can’t just be an isolated result. They’re still in deep trouble in the relegation battle, which obviously we didn’t expect them to be in. And for Union, I’ve got their game on Wednesday and I think it’s actually a really interesting one against Alex Bourge. It’s not an easy game by any stretch of the imagination and if there is some tiredness in those legs, then that’s going to make an impact.
But what the Union crowd are very, very good at is lifting their team when they need it. And So, I think Wednesday’s going to be a really interesting game. So, some great results. Bayern, as we suggested would be the case, we’re always going to go top eventually they’ve done that. I expect them to be there at the end of the season. That’s not a bold prediction and I think having seen them drawn with Paris in the Champions League Glass 16, I think there are some exciting times ahead for Bayern. I think they can win that tie. I think it’s close, but I think they can. And I think this could turn out to be a very, very good season for them. They’ve got 74 goals already in all competitions.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, excellent. And obviously we note if we came up trumps really in our fault process with Bayern very early on thinking teams are not going to know who the danger is because obviously you took the focal point out and now you’ve got 4, 5, 6 different players who can come. One drops, one goes and it’s like, “wow.” And it’s great to watch. It’s a great advert.
Just going onto Leverkusen. It was very evident after about 25 minutes of the game in the first half that Diaby was going to be the man because the gap between the left-back and the left-center-half was so big. But in the first half he was getting a ball on the outside of the defender. And then, all of a sudden, they noticed that the ball should go inside the left-back because he had him cooked. And as soon as they scored the first goal, which, again was just… they needed that, they needed that. And they went from strength to strength in the old Leverkusen and come back and I felt that Union felt a little bit sorry for themselves. But there was some other good performances as well.
Alex, you went two and one and got let down by probably one of the best sides in Europe.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, it happens and I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t place the same bet once again. I would. I was very unlucky because in the second half Bayern Munich was the type of team that okay, let’s wait for the game to finish. We have another two games more until the World Cup. I mean, the impact that the schedule has on all football players before the World Cup is dangerous to see. This is why we’ve seen so many goals in Bundesliga. I think that only one of the games in all of them finished under. It was 2-0 if I remember but correct from Freiburg against Koln.
The rest, all of them went over 3-0 really early in the game from Bayer. Then I cashed out. It was good for me but not good for our friends that are watching us. I went to End one and I still got -0.3 because I had a -1.5. And someone asked me on Twitter, what is my thought about betting, a betting strategy when a much better team scores really early goals in the first half and you have them at -1.5 on the Asian handicap. I would say cash out in the at 3-0 because personally I cashed out at 95% profit. So, What’s wrong with that?
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
There you go.
Alex Campean:
95% profit is like…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
You get a chance. I mean there is some companies that actually you go tune it up in the game that if you’re on the money line, that’s it. Game over. You win.
Alex Campean:
Exactly. And I think that that is a correct strategy because after that, you know how Bayer is, they could easily have gone 3, 4, 5-0 up if they were playing still like that in the second half but they didn’t. After that some changes and the game died like that. But I would repeat that bet and I would do it like 2-3x in a row.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, no, no, I think if ever you get in a wayside scoring free goals, you’re expecting them to cover the 1.5. Let’s have a little look at the official records please. Doesn’t need to be too quick. Don’t like to talk about it. Kev, 10.9 property week still sitting there. We might have to add to that in the next couple of weeks. Now we’ve only got two more match days until the World Cup. Total at 16.27. So, after 14, that’s what? 1.25 or something like that? Or 1.2 per game per week, which we’ll obviously settle for. Very, very good and without doubt the number one show on our channel.
Okay, so let’s kick off. We’ve got seven games. There will be a Q&A at the end. We’ve got to go straight into… It’s a big game to be honest because Wolfsburg are at 250, Dortmund are at +105. Alex, I’m going to come to you first cause the draws at +265. Dortmund are -120 to score twice and we’re seeing a little bit more, I would say, organization, steeliness, and belief from the visitors. Wolfsburg have one mode and that is, “we will have a go.” I think Dortmund are a good price here at +105 Just to win the game.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, but you have to look also on Dortmund’s away form. They are eighth in the league on away form. 3 wins, 3 defeats. I think that in the last four or five matches they considered at least once on the road and this is why they are priced so high, let’s say. I was expecting them, to be honest, even higher than that at +120. Because Wolfsburg are really, really good in really good shape. They’re scoring goals, they’re winning games. It was an impressive win against Mainz. Again, scoring all strength. They didn’t control the match but they are very, very dangerous on the break and this is what we’ve seen also against Mainz and probably will see the same against Dortmund.
Yeah, I think that the value is on Dortmund but I wouldn’t play it at that price at +105. I’m expecting again goals in many of these matches of the midweek round. The players are not fully fit like any players in Europe right now. Most of them are thinking about the World Cup. Let’s not get injured. This is their chance to play the World Cup. So, you will see a lot of mistakes at the back in all of the defenses at the back you’ll see many, many mistakes and I think that we go this hard and heavy with the Alex Classic all day long in most of the Bundesliga games during this midweek round and also next weekend.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, Wolfsburg haven’t beaten Dortmund in the Bundesliga for the last seven years, Kev. And they honestly, the people could say, “Oh it’s a different side,” or “they’re in better form.” It’s amazing how many times them types of stats and voodoos actually do stand up.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, I think it does have an effect in some ways because I think a lot of those Wolfsburg players will not have had success against Dortmund. But I do think it is the Wolfsburg team that’s playing well and I think it is scoring goals. I think Alex is right.
I was on the Dortmund game at the weekend, they’re played very well in the first half. I thought they eased off in the second half. Understandably, to some extent, but I think they did lose a bit of concentration early in that second half. And at home they’re very, very good. Away from home, not so good. So, I think this is a real test actually for them.
So, +105 for Dortmund is not one for me. They could win it. Absolutely. They’ve got the quality, they’ve got Moukoko firing, they’ve got Reyna back, he’s scored in his last two home games in the Bundesliga. Jude Bellingham obviously has been among the goals. So, I think the next few days actually a real test of where Dortmund are at as a team. To go to Wolfsburg and then on Friday to have to go to Borussia Mönchen-Gladback. If they could come away with six points from those games, they’re very much in this title race. So, I think it’s a real test of what they’re all about. Not just on Tuesday but on Friday too.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
I’ll be very interested to see what price Dortmund do when they play GladBack because I’ll be all over Dortmund. Not having, by the way, I am off the GladBack train. They won’t make me money. I am off them now. I think that they got away with absolute murder. I’ve gone with Dortmund here. I think Dortmund would have too much quality. But yes, I can definitely see this being a Wolfsburg one, Dortmund two, maybe even 3-1 if they pushed too many men forward Wolfsburg. But also, Kev, I agree with you, I think we will be a good test for us to see where Dortmund’s mentality is because it is one of those where they have been a little bit flaky before and they’re not ones that we could actually put our hat on. But over the last few weeks it looks like they’ve got a little bit of steeliness about them. So, I’m a very, very interested and I have taken the +105. Let’s have a little look at the official Soccer picks here.
Okay, I’ve gone Dortmund, money line at +105. Both teams are scoring over two and a half is at -110. Remember the market was three. So, if you want to go with Alex you’re probably going to get a better number because you’re not going to get the push. So, you need four to get cash if you go over the three, but with both teams scoring over two and a half at -110, it does look the obvious one, I think, lads. I definitely think it’s the obvious one. Okay, let’s go to game number two of seven. Okay, it’s Bayern at -525. Werder at +1200. A draw is at +675. Werder just to score Kev are -170. Bochum are at +125 to score four. The handicap is up four. That’s probably because the Away side do look like they can contribute even though Bayern at -2 and a half. I’m not sure when by three though. So, would you go with Breman with a +2 and half at -130?
Kevin Hatchard:
No, I think the way to play this really is I think Bayern will win the game. I think Bayern had been on great form. I think even in the games where Bayern weren’t winning earlier with the season, they were creating lots of chances. They won all six of their games in the Champions League. My personal feeling is they’re better this season than they were last season and I think we’ll see that as the season progresses. I think they’re more dangerous in attack. I think they’re more unpredictable. So, I think they’re going to be able to go on and win this game and do very well.
As for Bremen, I think they’ll contribute. I think they have shown they can win away at Dortmund. They can score goals wherever they are. They’ve picked up a couple of wins at home, they’ll go into this as a free hit. They’ve got lots of confidence well ahead of schedule in terms of where they’re at right now as a newly promoted team over 20 points in the bank. So, I think we’ll get a really entertaining game. So, I think Bayern a win it and I think both teams will score.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
There’s another one of those, like we mentioned the weekend was maybe Bayern to score two in the first half or over one and a half in the first half. It seems to be the way to go because Bayern do come out the traps.
Alex Campean:
It’s the way to go and this is why I’m looking for a price for that because I want to add it in. I think that Bayern are crazy how they start the matches. They’re going all in, like they want to finish it. They finish their opponent off like in the boxing games. Bang! Bang! Bang! Crash and that’s it. And we solve the game three points and we move on. This is why I was looking exactly right now about the odds for Bayern to score twice in the first half. The price for over 1.5 calls altogether. So, no matter who score is very low is at -1 for 50, almost. But listen, I will do another thing. I will play one call in the first 15 minutes of the game at +120. So, I think that Bayern scores in the first 15 minutes of the game and I will add that to my picks for this.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, that that’ll be great. The reason that Bayern get off to such a good start, for me is, regardless of the opposition is because the opposition don’t want to come out and leave gaps but then they sit back at a negative, give them the ball. And they’ve got the creativity, they’ve got the vision and the execution to carve them open.
I wonder if Bremen might act, just come and have a go here, Kev, because they’re dangerous from set pieces. The one thing I’ve seen about Bremen recently is that the front three because there is a free, as soon as that ball goes up to full crew, they get a little bit isolated and then obviously Bayern and are probably going to have an extra man and be overloaded.
Kevin Hatchard:
There’s no point Bremen going to Bayern and digging in because they’re not good enough defensively to do that. So, you might as well play to your strengths, get the ball to the front players. I think they’ve played without fear this season. If you look at the way they’ve approached it, you could see that at Dortmund because that was a funny game, actually, at Dortmund’s not least because there were 2-0 down in the 89th minute and 1-3, too. But actually Edin Terzic admitted it, the Dortmund coach, that Bremen should have been in front before then. So, Dortmund being 2-0 up in that game was misleading at best.
So, I do think Bremen will go for it. I don’t think there’s any way they just go there and dig in. They can’t really play like that, to be honest. So, I think it’s going to be a goal fest. I think it’s going to be really exciting and I think Bayern will come out on top.
The other way to play this, of course, is to pick a goal scorer. Because if you think the Bayern are going to score a lot of goals, I think Jamal Musiala something like +140, I’ve seen him available at, something along those lines. So, I think he’s in great forms still. So, I think if you wanted to just go down the Anytime Goalscorer route, I think somebody like Musiala would be a good bet. And Aubree look sharp last few games. Even Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting who’s been playing incredibly well in the last few weeks. In fact, what is Choupo-Moting in terms of Anytime Goalscorer? I wonder what his price would actually be because…
Alex Campean:
I’ll let you know.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, you have a little look at that Alex, because I also want to speak to both of you so you can listen. You don’t need to look at me while I have given you that homework. But Bayern -1, first half is -105. Bayern scored twice in the first half is +120. I mean, is that not a free hit, the -105? Do we not expect Bayern to be up at half time?
Alex Campean:
Yeah.
Kevin Hatchard:
I think the two goals in the first half is your best way, I think.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, I mean you just got the insurance of if they’re up at half time and it’s up only by one.
Alex Campean:
It’s a points push, yeah.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
It’s a free hit at -105. I do, I totally get, because the first thing I thought was, “Well, if I’m going to win my -1, I might as well get my +120 because if they scored two. And also with a little bit of insurance on your side, Kev, there is, that if I scored two and Werder score one, I’ve still made my +120 but it would’ve been a push at -105.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, I’d be going for the over one and a half goals first half, I think. Yeah, I think that would be, it’s bigger money. And as we’ve said Werder are capable of scoring. So, it’s a crazy… Look, it’s one of those games Bayern could be 3-0 up in half an hour. You never know. But I think if you’re going to go down that route, personally, and that’s the great thing about betting, everybody’s got their own style and different ways to go.
Alex Campean:
Oh yeah, definitely.
Kevin Hatchard:
I think I’ll probably go for a couple of goals there.
Alex Campean:
So, Goalscorers, Choupo-Moting -110, sorry. Serge Gnabry, -120. And Jamal Musiala, +140 right now.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah. All right. I think I’ve got mine anyway. Alex, can you put yours into the sheet as well, please? I’ve just taken that. Bayern over 1.5 goals first off a bit, man city style. First half +120. So, Bayern to score two in the first half and that means it can be 2-1, it can be 2-2, they could be 3-2 down. But I still pick up my +120. Let’s have a little look, chat, and see if there’s any negativity to [inaudible 00:19:43] same. First half, over one and a half is it -135. Okay, but Jonathan, are you thinking that, is that just because you think Bremen might score first half? Because first half over one and half pushes you towards what Kev just said of having Bayern score twice. That’s +120.
Alex Campean:
I mean why not Werder also to contribute in the first half? Why not, why not?
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
No, I’m just looking for Bayern, to be honest. First half Bayern -1. Bayer’s, man’s gone for -110. Listen, let’s have a little look at these official picks. And obviously, we’re going to have to have a good memory to add when we do the best bets at the end. So, Kevs gone Bayern and both teams score at +110. I’ve added obviously Bayern over one and a half goals in the first half at +120
Alex Campean:
And I added…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Goal in the first 15 minutes.
Alex Campean:
From Bayern.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
+120, too. Is that correct?
Alex Campean:
Yes.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay. Nastrudamus, Goalscorer. Not on your official but who would you say?
Kevin Hatchard:
Musiala is the value +140? Yeah, he’s absolutely the value, I think. Choupo-Moting is a great form. So, he was, what? -110?
Alex Campean:
-110. Yeah
Kevin Hatchard:
I just think of those two, if you get in an extra half unit for back in Jamal Musiala to score, I think this is going to be a wide open game. I think you’ll get space to play. And yeah, actually, I’ve convinced myself. There you go. Well look, we’re all adding. I’m going to go for Musiala at +140.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
+140 Musiala.
Alex Campean:
I will love it.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
I will leave you to stick that in please.
Kevin Hatchard:
Midweek Madness.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Well, I quite like Goretzka if he plays on the edge of the box because the way that Bremen actually defend, they defend on the keeper’s toes. So, I can imagine the ball goes dropping out to him. And same as Ganbry. They’ve both got a habit of running onto the ball.
Alex Campean:
Yeah but that’s many of them. Even Kimmich, might have a shot from outside the box.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Kevin Hatchard:
Might be a bit late for him.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Oh, yeah, I’ll tell you what…
Alex Campean:
Even Manuel Neuer.
Kevin Hatchard:
Some people will be like that. And who?
Goretzka is a good shout. I think the one caveat with Goretzka is they’ve been rotating that central midfield slot a bit. So, that’s a team news check, I think. But yeah if he starts, absolutely.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, let’s move on to game number three. Firm, firm force here but there’s value Stuttgart, -115. Okay. So, if any of you have seen where Stuttgart… They’re at the bottom of the league and they’re odds on at home against a strong organized side that have just come off a five goal thriller at home to Bayern.
+300 Hertha. -105 are Hertha double chance draws at + 285. The under/over is at two and a half. I think the over two and a half at -140 should really be over three at -110. Alex, Stuttgart, they huff and they puff is 80 yards between their defense and their strikers and Hertha, for me, they should’ve, they could have got something out of the game 10 days ago on the Friday night and then they score twice. They’ll be full of confidence because as we’ve said in the other games, they’ve had a free hit at the weekend. Now, they come here, I don’t see them getting beat.
Alex Campean:
They’re very compact. They keep a short line distance, they are all in 20 yards between them. When they’re defending. They’re very organized at the back. I like their fighting spirit, I like them a bit against Bayern but you couldn’t request more than what they did. I think that they might, if we’re talking about team versus team and the squad and player versus player, I think that Hertha should return home with at least one point here. And yeah, I think that the value is on them.
But, also, Stuttgart. Like you said, against Gladback, they were very unlucky to lose that one, right? Yeah. So you don’t know maybe they will bounce back here. I really like the speed of Lukebakio there for Hertha Berlin. So, I think that we’re looking also at him Anytime Goalscorer if you ask me. So, Lukebakio, in my opinion, is the star player of Hertha Berlin, right now, without Jovetic, right? So, yeah. I think that you are going on the right direction. Yeah.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Both scored 16 goals this season, Kev. Both sitting on 11 points and yet when I look at these sides, I’m thinking that the stronger are the visitors.
Kevin Hatchard:
Well, I think -115 for Stuttgart’s a horrible price and I wouldn’t even back that on principle, to be honest. Because I think, people will look at Stuttgart’s recent home record and say well look they beat Arminia Bielefeld 6-0 in the Cup, they beat Bochum 4-1, and they’ve had some good results at home. But let’s strip that down. They beat Augsburg with a very late goal. Bielefeld, hopeless. They got relegated last season and they’re struggling near the bottom of Bundesliga, too. And So, they’re not interested in the cup at all. So, we can’t read too much into that. And Bochum of the worst away team in the Bundesliga and have lost all seven on the road. So, then you scratch beneath the surface and it doesn’t look that great in terms of Stuttgart’s home record.
What you’re basically looking at really is two teams that are very similar. They’ve got the same record, got the same number of goals. So, therefore that market, if you look at it, you move it a third of a goal for Home Advantage, fine. Well that’s more than a third of a goal. So, for me that market’s wrong and I think if you’re going to go for anything in this game, a head to double chance is the way to go or head to draw no bet or something like that because Stuttgart could win midweek game under the lights, crowd behind them. But at -115, I would go nowhere near.
Alex Campean:
Would you go for draw at halftime here?
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Let me just give you the mathematics here. Okay, because this is where I do a lot of my betting. And even when I’m on the wrong side, I always go try and go mathematically. Stuttgart a -115 to Hertha is a 200% increase on the away side winning the game. Now, Stuttgart to score twice is a +165, a 10% increase on Hertha to score twice. That there’s an anomaly. That is way off. That tells me that Hertha are just as much chance to score twice as Stuttgart or both are not going to score twice. So, we’re looking at the under two and a half +120 or Hertha to win 1-0, 2-1 at -105. Alex, it’s lopsided.
Alex Campean:
Me, I think that the under is in play here, under 2.5 calls. I could see a 1-1 type of game with draw at halftime at +130. I don’t know, maybe a draw at halftime, draw at full-time, a combo which I think that it pays around 350 to four, +350 to 400. So, yeah. I think that they will cancel each other at the middle. I think that Hertha is a little bit more powerful in the attack. They have more pace than Stuttgart. Yeah, I wouldn’t touch on this game.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, Kev. Stuttgart and Hertha. Where would you go if I gave you a few shackles?
Kevin Hatchard:
Well, like said I’d be pro Hertha. It’d either be Hertha double chance to take advantage of that silly shook gut price or you’d be tempted by, what’s that +185 over one and a half one for Hertha.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Over one and a half?
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, I think that’s a big price. They’ve scored two against Bayern, they’ve scored two against Leipzig. I think, the front three, generally, I know… Alex is right. When Jovetic isn’t in there, it’s a slightly different look. But actually, I like Ejuke, I like Lukebakio. I think, Kanga is a good player, he just needs to write service. So, +185, that’s a chunky price. The heads to score a couple times.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
It is and if they scored twice, I expect them not to get beat. And the main reason I went with Hertha is because, even though they let him free at the weekend, they come up against good attack inside but they’ve not wilted. They stay in their holes, and they head, and they tackle. And they’re not looking to dribble the ball out. They’re looking to make sure that they defend first. Almost like throwbacks. So, for me, and listen, the reason I’m not going to go for the over one and a half is because I can see this being 0-0 or 1-0 in the… I think the under two and a half is a definite runner. +120 as well. But let’s have a little look at the official picks because you go near -115 for Stuttgart. If they go and win the game then all credits here. But you’re paying like $3,000 for a Giorgio market watch, you’re being robbed. It’s as simple as that.
I’ve gone Hertha double chance -105 and it was very, very close to being my banker. So, if they let me down, then so be it. Okay, let’s move on. Game number 4.
The man at the station saying tickets please. Well I’m not queuing up to get on the visitor’s train anymore. I’m getting off here. Thank you sir. Bochum +275. Oh, so close to pressing that button. Gladback at -105. Bochum to score twice. It’s +165. Bochum, double chance at -115. The total is set up three. Alex, you can go first here because Bochum-Gladback, a blind man says, “Gladback wins.” But I’ll tell you what, I’m not sure not so sure.
Alex Campean:
That is the obvious choice, of course. But not at -105.
Kevin Hatchard:
It’s a trap.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, I think it’s a trap. And this is why I’m taking another approach here. Bochum a little bit better at home lately where they earn seven points in the last three games and not easy ones. I mean, they beat Union Berlin scoring twice. They beat Eintracht, scoring three. They kept Koln to a 1-1 draw. I think that Gladback away record is a little bit one of the worst records in the league right now. Let’s put it this way. They are winless on the road in six matches this season and they averaged at least at the average two goals considered per match on the road.
I think that Bochum is a team to fade when they’re playing on the road, like you did with Dortmund last weekend. Or I think that it was Kev, I don’t remember which one of you guys was. But at home, they are different animal lately and I see them fighting. Okay, I see them getting relegated because they’re still bad. It’s not like they’re good. But I see them scoring against Gladback and this will be one of the games with the most goals. I think that Gladback defense is very, very shaky. I think that they will score at least once. So, the Alex Classic is the best approach for this game.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, you commentated on this game the other night, Kev. And I heard you, I think it was in the, I’m not making this up, I think it was about the 56 minutes. So full near enough, full 40 minutes to go in the game that, if Gladback do not score again, they are going to get very, very nervy. 40 minutes before the end of the game and you could see they were giving the ball away, they were rushing, they were panicking and they should have been in control of the game and they weren’t. They just wasn’t. And as for the front boys, he’s Thuram. He runs at two mile an hour when he is tracking. When there’s a chance of a goal he runs at a hundred. That tells me that they’re not at… They’re playing for themselves more than they are for a team.
Kevin Hatchard:
Well, it was a strange old game really because they started brilliantly. I thought they were excellent in the first 20-25 minutes. Could have scored more than the goals they did. Plea was unbelievably good.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, he enjoyed himself.
Kevin Hatchard:
Unbelievably good. And he actually did work really hard without the ball. But I covered Bochum as well. And it’s going to sound weird because they lost 3-0 but I actually thought second half against Dortmund they played very well. And I think what we did see they are limited. I think they are the worst squad in the league. I think that’s that’s demonstrable. But Alex is right at home, they’ve got that vibe back, they’ve been able to beat Frankfurt, they’ve been able to beat Union and they deserve that. They played really well against Union. Got that draw with Koln and the do fight to the end. And Gladback away from home are not as good that’s clear. You only have to look at the records for that. I think there are a few players who are running on empty. The goalkeepers still out Yan Sommer. And…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
2 center-halfs, 2 center-backs. Well, the center-back came out injured and the midfield boy had to go in there and he didn’t even track in his own box.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, we had Nico Elvedi was ill. I think Elvedi will probably be back for this one. But look, I think any time you can get couple of results on site, decent money, I think you should. And you look here, double chance is -115 and I think that’s a good price. I think Gladback have… if you look at last season, well last season’s game was really weird anyway cause it actually got abandoned and awarded Gladback anyway because somebody threw a cup of beer at the linesman and the game was [inaudible 00:33:42].
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Plastic. No we must add that it was a plastic cup. Do you remember?
Kevin Hatchard:
We should but it was full and he did end up with a bruised skull as it turned out.
Alex Campean:
Poor guy. Poor guy.
Kevin Hatchard:
He did. He did get it because he wasn’t expecting it.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Poor guy? It was full pint. It was a full, it was full. Why is he not drunk at first?
Kevin Hatchard:
Yes. So, look that was a weird game anyway but actually if you look before that happens, Gladback took over the game. So, they’ve got the players who are capable of doing that. But I just think given Bochum’s recent home form, given the fact it’s midweek under the lights, atmosphere’s going to be amazing. I think Bochum, I could see them getting something like a 1-1 or just nicking a result. So, I think that’s the way to go.
Alex Campean:
But Dortmund is half back.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
What about Gladback not scoring twice at +105?
Alex Campean:
I wouldn’t bet on that. No.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
You think Gladback would score twice?
Alex Campean:
Yeah, I think yeah. Yeah. What about, because you mentioned Bochum playing better in the second half against Dortmund. I had the impression that Dortmund after halftime after 3-0, okay it’s done. Let’s focus on the next game, change of gear one down to down and that’s it.
Kevin Hatchard:
I think there was a bit of sloppiness early in the second half. I think that’s definitely true and I think actually Bochum reacted very well in the early part of that second half. So, yeah there was an element of Dortmund tiptoeing their way through the game. But I actually think Bochum did pose much more of a threat, did get into the challenges more and I think that’s the kind of football Thomas Leche wants to see. He, he’s not a guy that digs in really. He’s the kind of guy that does want to play expressive, expansive football. I think they’ll press Gladback. I think they’ll try and make it difficult for them.
So, I just think again this is on price and look Gladback could win. Of course, they could, they’re the better team got better individuals. But I just think it’s one of those games where you’ll get intangibles at play. You’ll get really good atmosphere, you’ll get fired up Bochum. It’s their last home game I would think of 2022. I can’t remember what their final game is. I think they’re away actually at Augsburg. So, I think it is Bochum’s last home game at 2022 and I think that kind of stuff does count for something. So, for me that price is not quite right.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, Bochum to score twice by the way at +165. If you follow @BetUSTV, you may well see alert added from me of Bochum to score twice and then +165. I’m not worried if they win, lose, or draw if they score twice, I am in. And that is probably the one number on there other than Bochum, double chance at -115. Let’s have a little look at the official picks.
Okay, both seem to score over two and a half goals at -110. I hope it’s a 2-1 win. Then for Bochum because Bochum double chance at -115 is the way that Kev has gone. I am so close to going Bochum to score twice +165. But again I will add that on BetUS TV and if I don’t, no I don’t. Let’s move on.
Game number five. Yep. You can call me chicken if you want but I’m not going near Koln at home. So, it’s Koln +220. I’m not going against them either because Leverkusen are at +115, exactly the same price as they were at the weekend at home. The draw is at +270. The under/over is set of 3 and the over 3 at +100, Kev. Looks like almost a given. I just don’t want to get involved in Koln games. I know that obviously what happened against Freiburg, I just…on Leverkusen coming off the back of five, I want to watch them again.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, I think this is a horrible game from a betting standpoint because it’s Derby again. Koln have wobbled recently. I think that’s understandable given that they’ve been fighting on two fronts and they’re not used to doing that. So, I think that’s taken its toll. But there are good sides.
And Leverkusen, this is the kind of game they wouldn’t have wanted immediately after that Union game because this is a real test to their mental strength. Koln don’t like them. Not the players and the manager but the fans. Koln-Gladback is the big Derby in this region. They kind of see Leverkusen as an annoying little brother really, but they still want to beat them. So, it is a Derby that means a lot and Leverkusen have really struggled to get any kind of consistency and I think Koln will put them under pressure, especially at set plays. As you guys know, I don’t rate the goalkeeper Lukáš Hrádecký, I think he’s next waiting to happen. And So, I think if you were going to go for anything in this game, I think goals would be the way to go.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah, goals. You normally love your goals with Leverkusen love the fact that Diaby found an extra couple of yards of pace because that’s been his number one weapon, Alex. But I mean you couldn’t go near the money line at +115 just because the Koln are going to get their points, they’re going to get them at home.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, if it was correct, what you see in the graphics over one…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
It’s over one and a half.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, but it would be my banker over banker-bankers. But yeah I think that Leverkusen needed that win, needed statement against you Union Berlin. I think that their confidence level is very high right now. Yes, Koln hate them. This is why I think that we’ll see cards. I think that a great combo for cards is over 1.5 cards for each team which is at +110 right now. So, I think that that is a great, great approach.
So, both teams, each team to be at least twice booked at +110. But I’m going for Leverkusen. They are great mentally right now. Let’s put it this way, they’re going on the road 5-0 for the leaders, that they’re not leaders anymore because Bayern. But I think that they need that. I think that will be the turning point for them. And I see them scoring at least two goals. I don’t care how this match will finish, it’ll probably a high scoring affair over three is at +100. So, I see this happening but I’m going with Leverkusen to score at least twice.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, Leverkusen to score twice is at -115. I think that all you need to do is go back and have a little look at what we said about Leverkusen and Union. Leverkusen won 5-0, I think that was a bit of both. It was really good to see confidence flowing back but they scored at the right times in the game to actually put a nail in Union’s, coffin. And Union didn’t see the danger early enough because it was a half an hour before they scored the first goal. They scored the goal in the second half but it was half an hour before that you could see that it was always going to come from down the right and that was where the trouble was going to be and they just did not lock it up.
Alex Campean:
And this is their problem, this is their problem. This has always been their problem; efficiency. They are creating a tone of chances of goal and they are not. But what happened against Union is that they said, “Okay we are going until the end.” We’re not like oh my god we missed.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
But they went to the end but Union didn’t. I mean, obviously listen I’m talking through not talking from my pocket because obviously I was over the moon that they scored five. As soon as it got to two I was happy but Union did chuck it. They didn’t track, they didn’t… no one.
Kevin Hatchard:
I think they were exhausted, flash. I think it’s exhaustion. I don’t think it’s willingness. [inaudible 00:41:29] I can accept that.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
You think the Europa League just caught up with them.
Kevin Hatchard:
A hundred percent. A hundred percent, yeah. I think they’re exhausted and I think…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Then that means that Leverkusen up +115 last weekend should have been a banker then.
Kevin Hatchard:
I think the game in Belgium took more out of them than I thought it would, to be honest. And I think they’ve done so, so well to get to this point, which is why I’ll be really interested to see how he rotates against Augsburg on Wednesday. But yeah, look I think it’s a great win for Leverkusen. How much I read into it, I’m not sure.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
That’s why I’ve not gone there. That’s why I’ve not gone and got involved again and especially if there was one team. Maybe I would’ve gone with them if it was a different side to Koln at home, you know what I mean? Koln being at home is just one of those, I’m not going to go with them but I’m certainly not going to go against them. Although, I will be cheering on Leverkusen because our partner has gone for them to score twice at -115.
So, let’s have a look at the official pick please. Leverkusen team total over one and a half at -115. Let’s move on to game number six.
I was, I’m so strong on this. I am so strong. And I’ve got so… I can picture it already. I’m just hoping that… Frankfurt -110 don’t complicate it. Hoffenheim at +285. Hoffenheim to score twice, is at +160 but Frankfurt to score twice is at -135. That’s more of a balance. I see Frankfurt here maybe scoring three on their own. Alex, the over three at -105. Hoffenheim, they do normally contribute but their defensive woes, I think that this Frankfurt side will have their field with them. I feel as if the one twos, the triangles, the overlapping runners are just going to love to play against this side.
Alex Campean:
Yeah, I think that they finally gelled. This Eintracht Frankfurt new players that they came after many departures in the summer transfer window. I think that they finally gelled. I think that finally they are playing. Kolo Muani is a great player. Also, Gotze, even though he’s a little bit old right now, is good there in the middle. He’s the brain in the middle. He’s contributing a lot.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
[Inaudible 00:43:47].Alex Campean:
Yeah, that we know. I think that -110 for Frankfurt is a little bit too low because Hoffenheim are not that bad. But I agree with you that Frankfurt should win this game and we know such a great atmosphere when they’re playing at home. Their fans are amazing. I think that they will want to approach the World Cup break with the two important wins and secure that position and maybe even to overcome a team like Dortmund or like a Union Berlin. The difference at the top of the table is very, very little. So, between Bayern first and Eintracht fifth, only five points. So, everything, anything might happen in these two rounds at the top of the table but Eintracht at home should win this one.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Yeah. Kev, I think that we’ve said about the other sides that have got tired from European competition, I think they’ve gained a lot of confidence. And they’re so comfortable on the ball, they move it and they move it at pace as well. So, I think that’s what the downside of Hoffenheim defenders here, I think they’re going to get shredded.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, I think it could be a tough one for Hoffenheim. I’m not mega-excited about the -110, if I’m honest. If it was me, I’d be looking at maybe Kamada to score or Kolo Muani to score or something along those lines, rather than go for the -110. Hoffenheim are a funny team because I think they’ve had a bit of a wobble recently. Have had a tough set of fixtures as well. About to play Leipzip, had to play Bayern. So, it’s been tricky to judge exactly where they’re at. I think in general, André Breitenreiter has done a good job in the first half of the season. So, maybe goals, I think, in this one. But yeah, I think if you’re going to be pro Frankfurt I’d be looking at Kamada or Lindstrom or Kolo Muani or something like that.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
And I don’t see him winning 1-0. So, if you just want to boost up and the one -110 is not up your street, then maybe go with Frankfurt to win and both teams to score. Frankfurt and over one and half. But what I wouldn’t do, is I wouldn’t go be Frankfurt and under three and a half because this could be a 4-2. It could be a 5-2. It could be a 5-1 because Frankfurt I think they’re going to really enjoy themselves. That’s why I’ve got -110, sit back and enjoy.
Let’s have a little look at the official pick before we go to game number seven. There it is Frankfurt money line -110. Not complicating it even though I do believe that you could go with Frankfurt to win an over one and R because I fancy they score twice or maybe even three on their own. Let’s go to the bottom game because shortly it’s been a letter again been sent out. It’s Leipzig at -140. Freiburg at +340. The draws at +320. Anytime Goalscorer letter gone out in this game, Kev?
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, absolutely. Keep going for Nkunku because you know, he’s still… I mean, at the time we kind of generated our picks and it tells you how confident I am. Didn’t even have a price on him at the time. The market hadn’t even been made because we had the midweeks.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Back-to-back games.
Kevin Hatchard:
But it’s still worth it because I know he’s going to be an attractive price. Because he keeps getting put up at odds against and he keeps on scoring goals. I think people will get a little bit squeamish about this because they’ll look at Freiburg and say, “Well Freiburg are doing incredibly.”
Alex Campean:
+130.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah, look that’s too big. Yes, absolutely I would snap that up because the guy got 35 goals last season. He’s got, he’s in way into double figures this season. He’s got 10 alone in the, he’s in double figures alone in the Bundesliga, let alone everywhere else. And he has shown in the last few weeks that he can score free kicks. He’s got two of those. He can score penalties, he can score long range goals. He can score short range goals, he can score headers, you name it, he can do it.
Timo Werner being out means that he’s even more of a focal point in attack. And this is a Freiburg team, a Leipzig team, sorry, that have won all seven of their home games under Marco Rosa and they’ve scored at least twice in all of those wins. And I think in all but one they’ve scored at least three goals. So, this is a Liepzig team playing well, scoring goals, and we’re kind of getting to the point with Nkunku where it actually doesn’t matter who he’s playing. Because if he’s odds against a new fancy Leipzig to get some goals in a game, he’s absolutely worth exploiting, I think.
So, let’s stay on that train while we can. Frieburg I think have done incredibly well. Incredibly well. I mean if you look at how they’ve balanced the Europa League and the Bundesliga, it’s really quite phenomenal. Because that squad is not mega strong. It shows the conditioning is excellent, the fitness work that they do. Christian Streich has always been an excellent leader. And Vincenzo Grifo is having the season of his life. So, Freiburg opposed threat. Freiburg want revenge as well because Leipzig beat them in the cup final last season. But I just think this could become a bit of a knock about game really. And I think and Nkunku will get chances to score. So, +130 he absolutely for me the standout bet here.
Alex Campean:
Imagine, Flash…
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
[inaudible 00:49:20] Leipzig -140 because you can have Leipzig to score twice at -140. I’m going to put a little bit of a pin in your balloon, Alex, though. It’s because I seriously thought that Freiburg could have been a possibility not to score here at +180.Alex Campean:
No, no, no, no thank you.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
No, no, no. Obviously I don’t want to do that.
Alex Campean:
What I wanted to say to you is that while Kev was talking about in Nkunku, I went to the Bundesliga futures that we filmed three months ago and I see the best bets for the futures. So, both Kevin and I went to Nkunku. Top scorer of the league at +450 and I went in Nkunku over 16.5 goals all season long at -120, which was a banker. So, he has…
Kevin Hatchard:
Nearly there.
Alex Campean:
11 right now? Yeah, 11.
Kevin Hatchard:
Yeah he’s got 11.
Alex Campean:
So, he needs six goals for that banker to cash. Okay, it’s not so big the odds that -120 but still he’s making things look so easy and we thought that with Timo Werner coming, he will not score that much but he’s there. He’s scoring week in and week out and at +150 to this week, why not to take him? So, yeah, absolutely amazing player.
On the other side, I think that Freiburg are having a superb season. I think that they are again showing that last season was not a mistake. They are there right now, second on the table. 27 points, only one behind Bayern Munich. And I think that they can score against Leipzig. This is why I am going with the course market. The players are brilliant, the frontline is great, that duo, the Gregoritsch duo and Grifo are performing amazing. Yeong and Doan in the middle, both great with great pace, both of them. Many, many goals from set pieces. I think that this should be an amazing game. I see it. A 2-2, a 3-2 for Leipzig. Leipzig has the first chance playing at home. Brilliant performance lately from Leipzig. So, this will be an exciting match even to watch and for live In-play action.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, let’s have a little look at the official picks. Thought this was going to be a really tight, tight game, to be honest. But anyway I’m not putting my money down So, I’ve got no opinion. And Nkunku Anytime Goalscorer, +150. Alex classic both teams score over two and half at +105. They’re your seven games.
While you decide, a quick Q&A because I’ve La Liga coming up. And also if you go and press the link description, that will get you into the draw for four, one of the four shirts per month. Okay, quick one. Let’s see if there is any questions. If not, we’ll get straight over to the best bets.
Tony’s picks just saying I might take in they’re all statements really. I think we’ve covered everything to be honest, gentlemen. Let’s go with the best bets because I’ve got a couple that need to be added. Maybe there’s three that need to be added, to be honest. So, I’m going to have to get me memory here. Let’s go with the ones that are added. So, Kevs added Musiala at +140. Anytime for Bayern. We’ve got a goal in the first 15 minutes for Alex for Bayern Munich at +120 and I have added Bayern over one and a half goals in the first half at +120. Then we’ve got Bayern and both teams to score +110. Dortmund money line +105. Wolfsburg,-Dortmund, Alex Classic -110. Both teams to score and over two and a half at -110 is in, let me see, that’ll be Bochum versus Gladback.
Leverkusen team total over 1.5 at -115. And at the bottom, you can see Leipzig versus Freiburg for Alex. Both teams score and over two and a half at +105. Hertha, double chance -105. Frankfurt money line at -110. And Kev, he sent the old letter out like the telegram from the Queen that your son in Nkunku will score again at Anytime at +150. And Bochum double chance -115. I’m looking maybe to press the button on Bochum to score twice at +165. Okay, it’s just over 35 minutes before La Liga. Will be turning up with the boys. There was a good weekend as well over there with a few big priced winners. But first of all Kev, what game are you doing this week please?
Kevin Hatchard:
So, I’m on Union versus Augsburg on Wednesday, which I think is going to be a really good one. And then on Friday I’ve got Gladback against Dortmund, which will be great. And I’m on Bayern on Saturday.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Okay, well I’ll ask you again on Friday.
Alex Campean:
Gladback versus Dortmund. Dortmund on the road?
Kevin Hatchard:
Dortmund is on the roads, yeah.
Gordon “Flash” Watson:
Oh, like that. Okay, so good luck to everyone in the chat. From everyone @BetUS, may all your bets be winners. Anytime Goalscorer would be nice and it looks like the Alex Classic is the way to go from Golden Balls himself. Take care.
