Katen Constable:

Good afternoon. Thank you for joining us today on the BetUS NBA Show. Alongside our expert handicappers, Alex Christensen and Josh C, I’m Kate Constable.

Katen Constable:

Yesterday, a pretty good day for our team. Chris went one and won, I guess he had a push. Josh, you hit the thunder plus nine, last night. And that one was pretty comfortable throughout the whole game.

Josh:

Having Bradley Beal ruled out, obviously helped and made the entire situation a little bit more bearable. But always good to just get a nice wire to wire cover like that sometimes and move on to the next date.

Katen Constable:

Alex, how were your picks yesterday?

Alex Christenson:

Pretty good. I had the Thunder as well, myself, played them at plus nine and actually even picked up some more around plus six and then push Bradley Beal out. Again folks, it’s always tough for these books to adjust for players. A lot of times when the star moves out, that number is a little off. So congratulations to everybody. I think the Thunder covered every number yesterday.

Katen Constable:

Well, the books were pretty spot on in the Bulls Pistons game on that total. The Bulls won by 46 points, they scored 133 points. The total was 220. I had the under at 219 and a half. So I was not very pleased last night. Hate to see that. The Pistons only had 14 points in the third quarter. That was kind of tough to watch, Josh.

Josh:

Detroit did their part for you, so you can’t be mad at them.

Katen Constable:

Right.

Josh:

But that Chicago offense had a very little resistance throughout the entirety and unfortunately, it just kept rolling, and rolling, and rolling.

Josh:

Which I think Alex has alluded to plenty of times in the show. A blowout is always a bad recipe for an unders bet. And that basically, I think summed it up perfectly.

Katen Constable:

A 46 point victory. Alex, that’s quite the blowout. So I’ll learn from that going forward.

Alex Christenson:

I just feel bad if you lose a total by half a point.

Katen Constable:

It was very deflating. I was on the edge of my seat towards the end of that game, just hoping they didn’t score. And it didn’t work out in my favor, but-

Alex Christenson:

It’s not a fun story.

Katen Constable:

No. Another day to play some winning bets. We have a huge slate today, nine games, and we’re going to talk actually about a lot of them. We have a ton of picks between the three of us. But before we do, we’ll check out our overall record.

Katen Constable:

We would also love it if you would send in questions and comments on the chat feature and we’ll get those answered for you towards the end of the show.

Katen Constable:

Between the three of us, Alex, you’re leading the way 48 and 41, Josh creeping back up to 500. You’ve had a couple really good days this past week. I have not.

Katen Constable:

I’m at 54 and 53, closer to 500. Thanks to some losses. But we will change that today and we’ll start by kicking things off, talking about the Charlotte Hornets in Philadelphia, taking on the Sixers, who are a five point favorite soul sitting at 225.

Katen Constable:

Sixers entered tonight’s game riding a seven game win streak, their longest of the season. Meanwhile, the Hornets come to Philly having won their last three, including two straight or the defending champ, Milwaukee Bucks. I’ll kick this one off for us because I’m backing the Charlotte Hornets here at plus five Charlotte, nearly beat Philly in both of the two games they played this year, they lost by a combined seven points in those two games and the Hornets were without LaMello Ball, Mason Plumlee and Terry Rozier. So with Plumlee being back in the lineup tonight, I expected to challenge Joel and be a little bit more than Nick Richards did in those first two games. The Sixers also shot nearly 53% from the field in game one. They’re averaging 46% on the season, which isn’t bad, but quite a difference from 53%. So I imagine that’s going to scale back a little tonight, which is why I like the Hornets at plus five. Alex, you’re a Philly fan. What are we going to see from your Sixers tonight?

Alex Christenson:

This is going to be a fascinating game with strengths and weaknesses. It should be some interesting match ups. The Hornets have absolutely no one. I don’t even know if they have a player on the floor, like within half a foot of Joel Embiid, be let alone, like that could actually stay anywhere near him defensively. On the other side of the ball, Ben Simmons is out, the Sixers will have Matisse Thybulle, but the Hornets guard should have a good night tonight. Whether it be Terry Rose, LaMello Ball, one of the other guys, they’re going to be putting up some points tonight. So it will be kind of a fun watch to see whether the guard match up. So the Hornets overwhelm the Sixers or whether Joel Embiid just goes nuclear here.

Alex Christenson:

Tend to trust Joel Embiid. The Sixers are a better defensive team, which the Hornets have struggled with. The Hornets are a team, if they’re going to beat you, it’s going to kind of be a track meet. The Sixers have a chance, especially at home here to kind of control all those things. So like this for the sixes here a little bit, but it’s going to be a really fun watch again, to see the guards beat up on each other and see what Joel can do.

Katen Constable:

Joel Embiid went nuclear in the first game. He had 43 points in that game, 33 in the second one. So the Hornets definitely have their work cut out for them, guarding him tonight. But Josh, Alex mentioned that these two teams match up wise. They’re just completely different teams, Hornets play really fast, Sixers 28th and pace in the league. So how is the pace of this game? Whoever controls the pace, how does that dictate the outcome? Do you think?

Josh:

Yeah, I think if Philadelphia are able to sort of get a hold on things and be the ones that dictate the tempo and its entirety, at least for large portions of the game, then I don’t see them having too much trouble covering this spread to be honest. My number comes out at about six, just over that six and a half. I was tempted by Philadelphia. I’ve been burnt by them twice in this exact matchup already this season against a depleted Charlotte team. So I don’t think I want to go back to that well, but like Alex said, my concern for Philly is how do they deal with those guards for Charlotte, especially when they get going. Seth Curry, I think is still questionable. That’s someone I would want available for a game like this, especially if it does turn into a back and forth affair, you want someone that can shoot the ball high volume and do so very efficiently and help keep pace.

Josh:

When the Hornets do go on those little runs that they inevitably go on, seemingly every game at some point. You look at the total I think it’s pretty much on point as well. So I would lean towards the over here, even though I do think the Sixers are capable of controlling the tempo. It seems that Charlotte or one of those teams where they manage to get the opponent to always sort of play into their hands a little bit for whatever reason. And this is going to be one of those games where if they do so they can hang around long enough that they can cover that number. However, I think the talent disparity still for me, pushes me to closer to what playing Philadelphia than anything in this matchup. Ultimately, a pass do lean Philadelphia though, do slightly lean towards the overs.

Katen Constable:

Very fair, very valid arguments there on Philly’s side. Seth Curry questionable, miss Monday’s game. So we’ll see if he plays tonight, Tobias Harris it looks like he’ll be in. He had a shoulder injury he’s probable tonight, but either way I’m to the Hornets at plus five to cover in Philly tonight. Dallas Mavericks in New York tonight to take on the Knicks. Mavs are a two and a half point favorite total sitting here at 204 and a half. Knicks have won three of their last five games. The Mavericks come into Madison Square Garden tonight, looking for their seventh straight win. Josh what’s it going to take for the Mavs to get the job done tonight?

Josh:

Basically just to keep playing how they have been for the last sort of two, one to two weeks. I think it is now. They’re absolutely finding an identity defensively. I think it’s fair to say they have for a little while now, but if they are able to put their best foot forth on that end of the floor, the Knicks’ are really going to struggle to do generate open, looks, generate anything. I think of value for them in terms of trying to score with consistency here, their offense in the meantime as well, I think will cause New York a little bit of discomfort. They do, do a really good job spreading the floor that Maxey play pick-and-roll with looker is I think going to cause them a lot of headaches. I don’t know if the Knicks necessarily have the bodies capable of just being able to shut that down naturally.

Josh:

So there’s a lot of mismatches, I think for Dallas to take advantage of both ends of the floor as well, defensively, like I said, they shouldn’t have too much trouble making life really uncomfortable for the Knicks. Kemba Walker still questionable. I think that still matters as weird as that sounds for the Knicks, just because they need all the offensive firepower that they can get. As soon as you take him out with Derrick Rose already out, they just become a super limited team with what they can do in terms of scoring the basketball.

Josh:

So for me, look, the Mavs, I think are probably a better defensive team right now than what the Celtics are. And we saw what the Celtics could do against New York in that sort of home and home with them. Unless the Knicks plan on shooting the absolute lights out from beyond the arc, like they did the first game against Boston. I don’t see them hanging around with Dallas in this game at all, to be honest. So I like the Mavs here. I have this closer to a four. I think there’s good value on the road team and they keep it rolling.

Katen Constable:

I would agree with you. I’m also going to play the Mavs minus two and a half ever since Jalen Brunson entered the starting lineup in mid-December. The Mavs have been rolling on offense and defense. They’re 11 and four against the spread and their defense has changed drastically. They’ve held the teams under 106 of their last seven games. They’ve clamped down on their three point defense giving up the third at fewest attempts from D holding teams to 30% from beyond the arc. And that’s really going to help them tonight against this Knicks’ team who loves to shoot the three. Their top 10 in volume and three point percentage. So if they can shut down the three point line for the Knicks, I think they’re going to have recipes for success this evening in New York. Alex, any thoughts on your end on this game?

Alex Christenson:

I was thinking about maybe an under here, the Knicks. I actually maybe push a little bit back on what Josh was saying. I think they’re actually better with that Kemba Walker. They get back to more of their defensive identity. It’s a little more of an intense team you’ve watched without him. They’ve been really muddying up some of these games and slowing the pace. I think that’s actually what I like so much about the win over Boston. They kind of held to that strategy and waited until the shots started falling. Obviously the second game, it didn’t work out so well. I just think the Knicks are kind of headed in a better place here and the Mavericks kind of with just Luca Doncic for me has been a hard team to back. I mean, you’re really putting a lot of trust in him to come out and have a good night. If Porzingis was in tonight I would definitely on board with you guys. I just wonder what Dallas is going to do in those few minutes. When Doncic is off the floor.

Katen Constable:

Kristaps Porzingis is still in health and safety protocols. So like Alex said missing this game again tonight, but Josh and I still on the Mavs side tonight. We are playing them at minus two and a half. The Miami Heat in Atlanta, tonight taking on the Hawks. Hawks are two and a half, three point favorite rather totals 230, 223 and a half. First game of a home and home series between the two teams and the first meeting for the divisional opponents. Alex, what’s your play in the big A tonight?

Alex Christenson:

I think this is a great spot for the Atlanta Hawks. You have a team that is finally starting to get healthy. Yes, they’re missing Clint Capela, but just about everybody else is going to be on the court tonight against a Miami Heat team. That admirably has been playing very well without Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, but this isn’t going to be a game against a Phoenix team that was looking ahead or what’s left to the Portland Trail Blazers or a beat up Golden State Warriors team. I mean, this is going to be really tough for them. They have to go into Atlanta, a division, rival a team that really stepped up. And I think you could see circled the schedule last year in some of these matches. I think they know what it means to beat this Heat team so they could win the division and get that home court advantage in the series that they can put that away early this year. That’ll be good for them.

Alex Christenson:

I just everything in this game points Atlanta to me. I have them six, almost seven point favorites as I start to tweak some stuff. So I think the market here just a little bit slow to react to Atlanta, finally being healthy and the Heat still missing their two best players.

Katen Constable:

The Heat, the Hawks, rather bad perimeter defense. We’ve known that about them this season. And so Josh with this Heat team where you have Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, Tyler Hero, who can get hot from beyond the arc. I mean, they hit 22 threes against the Suns, shot 50% from deep. If that happens tonight, then what happens to this Hawks team?

Josh:

Then the Hawks give up 130 points again and probably don’t come close to winning the game at all. But look I just, I couldn’t agree more with Alex in terms of the spot for Atlanta. It just sets up really well for them coming home, getting healthy bodies again, available. Yes. Capela looks like he’s going to sit he’s doubtful at the moment. But aside from that, I think they’re getting some pretty important pieces back and working alongside each other again. Remember this team was pretty decimated, so it was always going to take a few games even when they first did come back for them to get their legs underneath them again. So having done, so I think returning home here, like you said, divisional game against the Miami team who did do well on that west coast road trip, but did take advantage of some pretty friendly spots as well.

Josh:

I think it all sort of catches up with Miami here in this one without Jimmy, without Bam in a matchup that I think Atlanta should be able to force things a little bit offensively and generate what it is that they want as well, especially when there’s no natural rim protection available for Miami. So it should allow them the chance to really be aggressive in attacking the rim and in turn, that’ll help create a lot of space on the perimeter for those guards and wings to basically keep pace with what Miami’s going to at least try and do. And that is to just shoot the basketball and hope for the best from deep. So love Atlanta in this spot. I do come out closer to four and a half as well. Maybe a little bit higher than that. So minus three for me is basically a no brainer and what’s a really good spot for Atlanta.

Katen Constable:

All right. Will both of you in agreement on this one, taking the Hawks minus two and a half, you’re also both in agreement on our next play Rockets at the Spurs. Spurs are six and a half point favorite here. Total is 213 to 30 and a half. Rather, Spurs are back at home after a brutal seven game road trip. They went one in six on the road, although can’t really say much better things about this Houston Rockets team right now. They’re one in 11 in their last 12. That one win though did come exactly a week ago today against the Wizards. And both of you backed the Rockets as seven and a half point favorites in that game. So Josh, can you get behind Houston as a six and a half point favorite in San Antonio tonight?

Josh:

Yeah. It’s only fitting that. I try and find the ugliest possible underdog on a card whenever I’m on the show. So here we go with Houston today. I just don’t like what San Antonio’s doing at the moment. They’re in a tough spot naturally first game back home, after, like you said, well, it was a pretty brutal road trip. Still trying to get bodies back, their latest report that it seems like they may get a host of them available if they clear protocol and they get another negative test. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to play either. So I’m not sure what the assumption or why the assumption is that those guys are immediately going to be available and back into the rotation. You know, we’re talking about Vassell, Doug McDermott two guys who in particular help space the floor for a team that doesn’t have a lot of three point shooting.

Josh:

So it makes them pretty valuable for what San Antonio needs offensively. This is a team as well in San Antonio that doesn’t necessarily rely on any one player Dejounte Murray, probably these stand out there, but they are a team that needs depth and rotation and healthy bodies available. And so if any of those guys aren’t able to go, it does really limit, I think what they can do, especially offensively. So the Rockets, I do trust their offense to at least go out and be able to do what they do. That is space to floor shoot the three be able to probably do so in an effective clip against San Antonio as well. And if they are able to do just that, I don’t think San Antonio can keep up in a shootout. So this just seems too many points for me. I come out at closer to a four here at fair price. So more than happy to grab six and a half or even seven, which I think is still available for Houston.

Katen Constable:

Alex, Josh mentioned it at the top, this is kind of an ugly game. What do you see happening here tonight in San Antonio?

Alex Christenson:

Yeah. I’m not going to see any of it happening at all. I don’t have any interest watching this, but the value is absolutely with the Rockets. I mean, and this line looks to me like kind of Josh set up here that some of these Spurs players will be coming back. You look at the injured report guys like Keldon Johnson are questionable Derek White, Devon Vassell all with health and safety protocols. So again, maybe there’s some sort of negative testing that could happen today, but I’m kind of fine with that honestly, as a Rockets ticket holder.

Alex Christenson:

They haven’t played for like a week. They’re just going to stumble onto the court in their first game home after kind of getting lick for the last week and a half. I mean this is just a really rough spot for the Spurs team that when they’re at their healthiest, it’s, there’s some shooting. There’s a lot of versatility to lineup, but once these few guys are off the floor, I mean, you’re looking at one of the worst rosters in the league. So I’m happy to take a, one of the worst rosters in the league against arguably the worst roster in the league, plus five and a half points or six points, whatever it is now.

Katen Constable:

Well, Houston’s only to cover the spread once in its last 12 games. So tonight is the night they break that streak. You guys are both taking the Rockets plus six and a half. Cleveland Cavalier in Utah tonight. Take on the Jazz. Jazz are the favorite here by five and a half points totals 222 and a half. Jazz are dealing with a bunch of COVID issues right now. No, Rudy Gobert, no Rudy Gay or Butler, Bogdanović. Joe Ingles is questionable with an injury tonight. Alex, you’re going to back the dog tonight, right?

Alex Christenson:

I love the spot for the Cleveland Cavaliers and I maybe overrated them a little bit in their last couple games. Perhaps they’re a little more comfortable at home than on the road, but you look at some of the Jazz injuries that you mentioned specifically Gobert that’s going to be huge tonight. I mean, you’ve got Jared Allen and Evan Mobley they’re going to be kind of do whatever they want tonight. I mean, at least when Gobert’s out there on the floor. One of them is going to have to worry about them in the pick-and-roll.

Alex Christenson:

I think we’re going to see Cleveland really attack, pick-and-rolls high, send Mobley out, send Jared out to come over to the top, to really keep these Jazz guards from getting the kind of shots that they’re comfortable with. It’s not the best thing in the world to go against Utah at home, but Cleveland, again, continuing to sort of work themselves back into a little bit of form after that funky Golden State loss. I think this is a great spot for them. I do still have the Jazz favorite, but only by two, three points here. So five and a half looks great to me.

Katen Constable:

I would agree also like them at five and a half, you mentioned that Moby and Allen are going to be able to do whatever they want without Gobert in there, but also Darius Garland, be able to get into the paint and drive and kick and get some outside shots and space thing that way on the offense without Gobert, clogging things up in the lane. Then offensively for the Jazz Henson has so much to do with this offense, with the pick-and-roll. He creates a space for Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley to create the Jazz thrive off the pick-and-roll as well. So without him in both offensively and defensively this completely alters the game for the jazz. So I’m with you. I like the Calves at plus five and a half. Josh thoughts on this game.

Josh:

Yeah, I was very close to playing Cleveland here as well. I come out at about a four, like you said I think Rudy Gobert is probably the most important piece to Utah, at least in the regular season. Obviously, playoffs are a completely different scenario, but what he does at both ends of the floor, like you said, the defensive capabilities unquestionable offensively, especially in pick-and-rolls. He’s able to really help Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley get going and in turn getting the rest of that Jazz team going offensively. So that is a huge loss for them. Naturally in this match up.

Katen Constable:

Cleveland, they haven’t looked great this west coast road trip, I mean, [inaudible 00:19:35] out a win Sacramento. They had no real problems with Portland, but I guess no one really has a whole heap of problems with Portland right now. But my concern for Cleveland, I’ve sort of brought this up a couple of times previously is they really, really struggle with teams that rebound the basketball well at both ends of the floor and the Jazz even without Gobert, still a really good rebounding team. So that’s, I think the biggest point of emphasis that is keeping me off playing Cleveland here is despite showing a numbers edge that coupled with the fact that it’s the tail end of this west coast road trip. They kind of itching to get back home. I think it’s fair to say so I haven’t got involved, but I think Cleveland is the absolute only way you could play this one.

Katen Constable:

All right. Well, we’re hoping that Cleveland is the only way to play this one tonight, Calves minus five and a half for both Alex and I. The Lakers in Sacramento tonight playing the Kings. Lakers are four point favor to totals 230 and a half. This is the fourth and final meeting between these two teams this season. Kings took the first one in triple overtime in LA since then, it’s been the Lakers show. They’ve grabbed the last two. Lakers have also won four of their last five games starting to look a little bit better out there, getting some of their pieces back Malik Monk he’s been playing fantastic. So Alex, you’re back in the Lakers tonight in this one. Why is that?

Alex Christenson:

Well, Josh talked about finding the stinkiest underdog. I think I found the stinkiest favorite, but you look at this Lakers team here. LeBron James looks like he’s probable. He’s been playing much better basketball of late the Lakers. Finally, for the first time in the year, having a little bit of lineup stability. They’re one of the few teams from week one were missing guys and not being able to get minutes. We’ve seen the value of Malik Monk. Again, a lot of negative things were said by people, yours, especially about the Lakers off season. But one of the things I did like was they took a couple swings on shooters and a guy like Malik Monk is perfect for LeBron James. The first time in his career, he has someone that could, is not only taking up space, but knows how to get him the ball and get him the ball where he likes it.

Alex Christenson:

And we’re seeing kind of the fruits of that labor. So I think the Lakers are starting to put it together. I certainly don’t think they’re a great team. They might be a good team. I don’t really know, but the Sacramento Kings are a terrible team and this is just going to, you need to get worse. I feel so bad for Kings fans. It’s just like groundhog, season, every stinking here over and over and over again. You can bring in a new coach, maybe a couple draft picks here and there, but just the same guys, just looking really sad and purple. I’ve never seen anybody look so sad and purple. It’s really tough being a Kings fan.

Katen Constable:

Well, maybe next time I lose a couple of games. I’ll show up in a purple shirt and you can see a sad person in purple next time. Do that for you, Josh total on this one last game combined for 236 points. So it’s gone over 230 and a half in two of the last three. What do you think on the total here tonight?

Josh:

Yeah. Over is the only way I would play this one again. Richaun Holmes doesn’t look like he’s going to be back for the Kings either. So I think that’s still a pretty important piece for a roster that basically needs anything good that it has to be available in order to just be somewhat and remotely competitive on a nightly basis. The Lakers, like you said, they seem to have found something with their line up and that obviously is with stability and continuity there. So they should be able to get theirs. I think the Kings will be able to push the pace and get theirs as well. I still don’t have a lot of faith or trust in this Lakers defense at the moment. So overs naturally the play for me in this one, my number on the game in terms of the line is basically pretty much where market is. I have the Lakers just above a four point favorite here. I would lean the Lakers as well. If I had to pick a side, but easy pass for me on two teams that I really couldn’t care less for at the moment,

Katen Constable:

This line open at Lakers minus two and a half and has gone all the way up to four. So Alex, it looks like you’re on the right side tonight taking the Lakers minus four. Questions. Thank you for sending those in. Do you think Philly playing at home tonight gives them a better advantage, Alex?

Alex Christenson:

Yes.

Katen Constable:

Why is that?

Alex Christenson:

Well, I mean, you have the general home court advantage. You have the fact that the Sixers probably over the last three seasons have arguably the biggest home court advantage of any team. When you look at how they perform at home versus how they perform away. I would like to credit the Philadelphia fans. We’re the greatest basketball fans in the entire world. And you know, people give us crap for booing our team, but you know what that does. It creates accountability. You get booed, win games and play well. That’s why the Sixers play well at home and they definitely play much better. Markedly better.

Katen Constable:

The Knicks are also learning that lesson. Their fans are starting to boo a little bit. Maybe they’ll start pouring better. Hopefully not tonight though, because I am going against the Knicks tonight. But Josh, for you, anything on the Nets Bulls tonight, this is going to be a fun one.

Josh:

Yeah, that should be a fun one. Hopefully we get the Nets playing that big three and we will get a very entertaining game. It’s just a horrible spot for Brooklyn. I don’t think there’s any way you could possibly play them in this spot. The scheduling has been brutal. It’s still a really rough couple of days coming up for them as well after of this. Another game tomorrow against OKC. So yeah, it’s only Chicago or pass. I think if you want to play it, I’m pretty much with market here. I think that the Bulls will ultimately eat it out, but a lot could depend on whether we do see Kyrie or James Harden sit and the market will obviously react accordingly there. So jumping on the Bulls now getting some positive injury news in your favor. You’ll have yourself a fantastic ticket. I think it’s fair to say, but yeah, as of right now, I haven’t got involved. I don’t think I will be, but it’s definitely Chicago a pass.

Katen Constable:

I was scrolling Twitter before the show and I saw something that said Kyrie could play in home games, but the Nets that’s would be fine $5,000 per game. Is that true?

Alex Christenson:

I have no idea.

Josh:

I don’t know if it’s

Alex Christenson:

Nonsense.

Josh:

I don’t know if it’s true, but I saw the same thing and immediately I’m thinking if it’s true, surely it’s a no brainer for them.

Katen Constable:

Yeah.

Josh:

You know-

Katen Constable:

$5,000 that’s nothing.

Alex Christenson:

The numbers too small for that to be true.

Josh:

Yeah. It doesn’t make a ton of sense. If that’s the case, I would be expecting to see him play out every game for the remainder of the season, barring anything from injury and it certainly changes a whole heap going into the playoffs as well. So certainly something I would like to read up on, I think is the day goes on.

Katen Constable:

Yes, I will do that too. We’ll have an update for you guys tomorrow. Last question. Thoughts on the Wizards Magic. Alex, anything on that one.

Alex Christenson:

It’s Magic or pass. So pass the Wizards have been just playing terrible basketball. Bradley Beal’s been in and out again. Lineup continuity is really important. Basketball it’s all about how the five guys play together. Again, it’s a lot like the way offensive lines work football if you’re an NFL fan. As good as the other four guys are, if that fifth guy doesn’t really fit it all kind of falls apart and the Wizards are really struggling. I think I’d have to go back and double check, but they have to be probably in the top five in the league in terms of different starting lineups game to game. So it’s Magic or pass, which means it’s a pass for me.

Katen Constable:

Josh, have any thoughts here?

Josh:

Yeah. I loved the Magic. That was one of my first picks to put in, but at nine and a half, that number is long gone. Six is basically where I kind of have fair price. So I don’t see a ton of value even then I would still lean Magic if I had to pick a side. Like Alex said that the issues for Washington, you had the team apparently internally fighting at halftime against OKC with Montrezl Harrell and KCP. So I don’t know, make it that what you will, I guess maybe it lights a fire. Maybe it goes the other way and things go completely hay wire for them. So I still lean towards the Magic, but this number probably closer to fair price. If you jumped on at the opener, you’ve got a pretty great ticket. I think it’s fair to say.

Katen Constable:

Never a good thing when your team is fighting each other, it’s supposed to be going together, fighting another team. So not a great look for Washington there. All right. Let’s take a look at our best bets for today. Quite a few. I love that we’re playing so many today, doubling up on the Rockets and the Calves. Alex and I are playing the Calves, Josh and Alex playing the Rockets. We’ve also got two on the Hawks, two on the Mavs. I like that we’re in agreement on a couple of these as well. That always makes me feel better to have someone either to celebrate with or to join in my misery, so good to have you guys on board there. Lakers minus four for Alex. I like the Hornets plus five. We’re all over the board today, but it’ll be fun nights. Plenty to watch and plenty to recap for us tomorrow. That’s all we have for you today. Love it.

Katen Constable:

If you’d had over the Twitter, follow us, Alex is @_Noops. I am @kateconstable and Josh is @punt_school. Butchered that yesterday, Josh, but got right for you today. All right,

Josh:

Nailed it.

Katen Constable:

That is all. We will be back with you tomorrow. Have a good night. Don’t forget to checkout our NBA odds in our sportsbook.
