Friday Men’s Basketball Championship 1st Round Game Picks | 2023 NCAA Tournament Predictions

Speaker 1:

Well, hello there and welcome back. 16 down. Are you ready for 16 more in the big dance, the NCAA tournament. It is great to be with you here on the BetUS College Basketball Show. We even got underway a couple of minutes later here because we’re prepping everything in the lab for all the games and all the stuff that’s going to happen coming up in the NCAA tournament. We’re anxious to see everything that is going on here on the program. Kyle Hunter, hello. Corby Craig, hello. Are you ready for 16 more after a wild day? We’ve already lost a two seed in Arizona, a four seed in Virginia, seeing dramatic finishes all over the place. Are you guys ready to go, Kyle Hunter, how you feeling?

Kyle Hunter:

Afternoon of the tournament, some great drama. It always comes through.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no doubt. Corby Craig, same thing. I know the tournament’s right in your area in Birmingham where Alabama won, Auburn won, Houston won, Maryland won. Any thoughts here as we get ready to go on Friday about Thursday for a minute or two?

Corby Craig:

Yeah. A whole bunch of good basketball. Also, UAB plays on Sunday in Birmingham, so we get round one, round two in the Blazers. But as somebody said, it looks like all three of us forgot it’s St. Patrick’s Day. I did not wear green and I’m pinching myself for it.

Speaker 1:

I know, people are putting the stuff out about St. Patrick’s. First of all, I’m not Italian. Second of all, go Tigers, go. Memphis Tigers in action tonight. We’re in Tiger Blue today. Sorry, whether it’s March 17th or not. Amazing. All right, so we’ve got a lot to get to, a lot of the Friday games. We’re going to talk about them. You’re going to probably hear every game discussed, at least a little bit, all 16 of them as we’re live here on Friday. Now, let’s also say we will be here tomorrow at 11:00 AM as well. We’re here weekdays Monday through Friday at 11:00, also tomorrow special Saturday show at 11:00 AM. We’re ready to get into the handicapping in a few moments.

Couple of other things about Thursday, guys, I put this on social media. Again, I live regionally in Tampa Bay, about 70 minutes from Orlando, give or take with the traffic. It was about two hours yesterday. Welcome to Spring Break. Welcome to the Magic Kingdom and the Mousehouse Disney World and trying to get to the Amway Center, the home of the Orlando Magic where the NCAA tournament pod is here. So the first game up was Virginia and Furman. I kid you not, I got there through the traffic after the live show. I got parked, I got the credential, I got in the arena in the final 30 seconds of that game coming out of the timeout for the mayhem of the Furman Steel and the three-pointer. PJ Pagese is the hero for Furman and their first NCAA tournament win since going back to 1974. Hello, 49 years ago.

And I was about, again, I’m making this, I was about 20 feet away from Pagese to the left, right behind the CBS broadcast crew. And guys, when I looked I’m like, “That’s dead on. That’s going in,” and it went in. I cannot convey to you the electricity in that building. It was amazing yesterday for just the first of the four games. That’s what March is all about. Kyle, quick comment. I know I put the social media post up and you were seeing me do that. It was wild. I could almost go home at that point after being put that upset in Orlando in game one.

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, that was epic timing there for you TJ. I still can’t believe Kihei Clark just chucked that ball up court.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I still don’t have an explanation almost 24 hours later as to what that was. Corby Craig, miracle finish for Furman, and Furman now moves on to play San Diego State. Any other thoughts on Thursday, where we saw some power teams flex their muscle, including like UCLA late night last night that looked really good. Alabama didn’t even have to have Brandon Miller at all and didn’t score amazingly and still rolled in their game. Any other thoughts Corby before we move on to Friday?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, didn’t Houston Sasser on the bench getting his leg checked out again? So that’s obviously a really interesting thing to note. Miami’s a big man. It seems like he’s going to play today streak, but we’ll get into that. A lot of injury news, a lot of injury updates, so that is always high in the mind.

Speaker 1:

All right, right, so let’s get into all of it now. First let’s take a look at the records. A two and two day on the show yesterday for Kyle Hunter and for Mattie Cox. You see the show still remains above 500, as does Kyle, as does Corby Craig. They’ve done very well and we’re ready to handicap a bunch of games here on Friday. Get your questions and answers ready as well live here on a Friday edition of the show. I did say I see a couple people commenting about brackets already blown up, losing final four teams, losing elite eight teams. I think I have kiddingly promised guys that we were going to see everybody’s bracket blown up by 5:00 PM on Friday. I’m not going to be too far off. There are more upsets coming Friday. Look out. If you’ve got a little number in front of your name, look out for what could happen today. You might see two, three or more of them today. It’s just been that kind of season.

Are you guys ready to go? Are you ready for 16 more? I know the audience is ready, the peeps are ready. Let’s get into it, and let’s get into it with a game right away that could be of big time interest in the 12 five matchup in terms of upsets. This one will be coming up between Virginia Commonwealth and St. Mary’s on the neutral floor in Albany, New York. That is a 12 five matchup. St. Mary’s out of the West Coast Conference is a four point favorite all the way across the country in Albany. Total 123 in this matchup. Interesting that VCU won the Atlantic 10 Tournament last weekend playing three games in the A10 tournament. St. Mary’s has not played in over 10 days since losing the West Coast Conference Tournament. Now they come all the way cross country. All right, let’s begin the discussion. Corby Craig, a quick thought on VCU and St. Mary’s in the 12 five matchup in the West bracket.

Corby Craig:

Yeah. Matt talked about this on the Monday show I believe, or Tuesday something. We’ve had a lot of basketball at this point. But VCU presses St. Mary’s has really struggled against some presses that weren’t as good as VCU is going to be able to give. Ace’s going to be put pressure on the front court. They struggle versus this BYU press that is, I would say pretty far below VCUs press. And so it’ll be interesting to watch St. Mary’s. I do think St. Mary’s is the significantly better team, but can they get through this pressure and probably a rocky start. St. Mary’s is a team like Virginia that they can lose it any moment because they just don’t score enough points. But I probably take St. Mary’s in the spot, but I think VCUs going to give a lot bigger scare than people are giving them. Let’s spread to what, three and a half at this point? So in brackets, I’m sure a lot of people have VCU, but St. Mary’s is the better team. They’ll probably get it done here.

Speaker 1:

Everybody pointing to a 12 five game. Now I saw the two 12 seats. Charleston, they had a chance against San Diego State yesterday afternoon in Orlando. San Diego State outplayed them. Oral Roberts, Kyle, as you know, had no chance last night against Duke. They were lucky it was not 20 or 25 points early on in the game. They were overwhelmed. Okay, so what about this 12 Virginia Commonwealth? And do you have any merit in the fact they’ve played a few games since St. Mary’s played last? Kyle, what are your thoughts?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, you always wonder how that affects the game. The WCC hasn’t done very well in the tournament overall against the spread. But I think my question here is obviously St. Mary’s didn’t get a great deal having to go so far away and playing an early game. No favors done to them. Obviously they’re five line and they say that they protect the one through four seeds. So St. Mary’s wasn’t protected obviously. But this has become a really trendy underdog for the VCU team. I think everybody’s talking about VCU’s going to win this game. They might win this game, but trendy underdogs haven’t done particularly well in the tournament in the long term. In fact, just an angle, and I don’t look at spread percentages too often, but in the NCAA tournament, I do look at them some because the public’s not been very good at betting the NCAA tournament. Teams receiving less than half the bets, so 49% or less of the NCAAB bets and laying 10 points or less. 55% against the spread in the last 15 years. And the NCAA a tournament that’s a large sample size of almost 300 games.

So that would fit laying the points here with St. Mary’s. I think that would be my lean in this game. The question is Aiden Mahaney against Ace Baldwin. What does Mahaney do, taking care of the basketball against Baldwin? That’s going to be the matchup to watch here. Mahaney hasn’t really faced press very often in the WCC Like Baldwin is going to do that kind of pressure. We’ll see what happens. I always want to take an under with St Mary’s, but 123, I can’t take under 123.

Speaker 1:

Okay, there’s some conversation on this one and again, for St. Mary’s, an excellent defensive team. Will it be a low scoring game as we talk about the total et cetera? And again, that one up in the afternoon in Albany, New York. The winner of that one, slated for the winner of Yukon and Iona, which is a game that I will bring up a little bit later on, when we get to some Q and A. It’s not on our official slate, but look out for that one. All right, so no official play in this one. Let’s continue on our list chronologically Friday in the 16 games. This one also up just after three eastern time between Pitt and Iowa State on the neutral floor. Iowa State, out of that rugged Big 12 is laying four and a half points in this matchup in Greensboro. Pitt having won a first four game over Mississippi State, grinded it out and won in the final couple of minutes. Total 131 and a half.

Kyle Hunter right back to you again. Pitt has played a game midweek, had to travel to Greensboro where Iowa State is waiting. Thought on this matchup here.

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, full disclosure, Pitt’s been a team that’s kind of been a thorn for me this year. I’ve had a good year overall, but I’ve lost a lot of games betting unders with Pitt. Pitt is not the same good defense and bad offense that they were in past years. A bit tricky to bat a total in this game because we know what Iowa State is. Iowa state’s not very good offensively, tremendous defensively. They muck up every game. This is a Pitt team that wants to have a higher scoring game. Iowa State is going to want to play a lower scoring game one with their defense. I think this total is probably set just a little bit too low. But I don’t want to bet in Iowa State over, I don’t want to trust them to score. We’ve seen how that can turn out in the past. In this one, I think I lean Iowa State. But the problem is betting Iowa State laying points is also a bit scary because they can go through those really long droughts. We’ve also seen them blow those huge leads multiple times.

I don’t trust Pitt, I don’t think they’re that good. Neither of these two teams have played good away from home either. I think that makes us a tricky game to bet in away from home ranking the 241st and 327th respectively. So both teams have been good at home, bad on the road, somebody has to win here. Momentum wise, I think Iowa State comes in with a little more momentum. Pitt’s lucky Mississippi State can’t hit an open shot, that’s for sure. So I’m going to lean Iowa State. I don’t know what to do with the total here. Maybe Corby has a stronger feeling on this one.

Speaker 1:

Corby Craig, thoughts on a neutral floor match up in Greensboro. I know you’re no fan of Iowa State and here we go with Iowa State and a team in Pitt that’s familiar in the ACC with that area. All right, thoughts Corby?

Corby Craig:

Yeah. I hate both of these teams. So I really don’t have a ton of a lean. I can’t say anything. I would lean towards an over, but Iowa State’s offense, I can score better than. I’m not too worried about that. Pittsburgh, I just don’t trust for anything.

One thing I do think is funny is Matt and I talked about on the show on Monday, Mississippi State, the worst three point shooting team in the nation. Can’t do this, can’t do that. They come out of the gate in that Pitt game, hit five threes off the bat, first five shots of the game. I was like, “All right, listen, maybe I don’t know something.” But Pitt’s defense did clean up. They ended up looking pretty well on that game. But either way, who will they face in the second round after this matchup? Iowa State gets a what, Gonzaga? No, they’ll play TCU. I don’t remember who this is-

Speaker 1:

Correct.

Corby Craig:

I know Iowa-

Speaker 1:

Okay, go ahead. Go ahead with your thought.

Corby Craig:

No, I have Iowa State advancing in this and I think that it’s going to be a grind out. But the next game, I hope my prayers Iowa State smacks Pittsburgh. People for some reason say this team is good. And on Saturday, Sunday we can back or fade Iowa State here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so forgive me, I was distracted. It’s Xavier that they would face in the next round.

Corby Craig:

Xavier be the break-

Speaker 1:

Xavier coming up, and we’ll see what happens. Xavier’s got a three 14 matchup that’s coming later on in the day. So let’s see what happens with Pitt and Iowa State. Again, Jeff Caple’s team has played much better. He’s got an injury though too, that is also significant. One of their top players has been hurt. Let’s see how they power through having played midweek in Dayton.

It is interesting. The committee again has done squirrely things with this bracket and has at times done things that are unfair to others. Like for example, previous Tuesday night winners in the first four have had to play on Thursday. Pitt got an extra day for whatever reason because they played on Tuesday night and got an extra day to get in here and play. If I was playing Tuesday, Thursday last year, or if I was Texas A&M, and Corpus Christi having to play Alabama yesterday, I’m not happy that Pitt got an extra day just because. So just some interesting things. They just put them on Friday here for the matchup with Iowa State. All right, so no official play on this one. Iowa State is favored on the BetUS line by four and a half on the neutral floor.

Let’s move on chronologically on Friday. Thank you for finding us. Hit that like button. Make sure you’re subscribed. I see the live audiences going through the roof. Keep it up. Keep hitting the like button. Share us out right now too, by the way. A lot of people may not realize we’re live, they’ll realize we’re live once you share it out and we’ll get to questions and answers in a bit. NC State and Creighton is another six 11 match up. This game is coming at 2:00 local time, 4:00 Eastern Time in Denver out of the south region. Even though the game’s in the west. Creighton is the favorite on the neutral floor by five over Terquavion Smith and NC State. He’s one of the best guards on a team that you don’t hear a ton about with NC State. Total 148 and a half. Corby Craig, thoughts on this, if no official play, including on the total or some variation of the number there for NC State and Creighton?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, I think 148 and half’s getting a little high, maybe a first half under here. But Creighton’s a team that can always shoot through any number that you put on the table. I think this is going to be a really good game. And it’s an interesting one because the winner will face the winner of the Baylor and your team, TJ, Cal Santa Barbara, they’ll face in the round of 32 to make it the Sweet 16. I bet Baylor to make it to the Sweet 16 plus 130. I think that they face Creighton in this matchup. I know that we’re not talking about Baylor, but I think Creighton wins this game for NC State. I’ve also been low on NC State. I just don’t think they have the guard play to stay in front of… I think in all five positions. Creighton at some point becomes better over a large enough sample size. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this is tied or even NC State at halftime. They’re just over a long enough time horizon. Creighton finds the ability to outshoot and get things done here. So I would lean the first half under and probably Creighton on the floor game.

Speaker 1:

All right, some back and forth in the chat. We see you there, Jake on Creighton, which has had a really good season, but now we’re in the one and done mode. Kyle Hunter thoughts on NC State, which has some scores? Neutral floor game here in Denver. Thoughts?

Kyle Hunter:

To kind of back what Corby was saying about the first half under, first half under is 65 or higher. 187 and 153 dating back to 2011. So 55% betting those first half funders that are 65 or higher that would fit this game. I think I like Creighton in this game. That would be my favorite bed in this one. My problem when I saw the bracket here was Creighton and Baylor are both teams that I kind of wanted to ride out for a little while. Then they play each other in the second game if they both win here. So didn’t know what to do in the bracket on that one because I think both of those teams have a high upside, haven’t played consistently that well, but I think they could. In a game like this, Terquavion Smith is going to take a ton of threes. We know that’s coming. He’s 90 for 266 from three point range this year. 33.8% not great, but we know it can get red-hot. It can also be ice-cold. It takes 30% of those shots almost. DJ Burns is always an interesting case there down in the low post.

I think Creighton is the more talented team. The team that I think has the much higher upside. Kalkbrenner, very big difference maker. As long as Baylor Shireman is playing pretty decent, I think that this Creighton team’s upside is pretty high. Five is a decent amount of points to be laying. So I considered making this a bet here for the show today, but I thought five was a bit too much. So I lean Creighton, I don’t think you’re getting any great deal by laying five points, but that’s certainly my lean. I think Creighton takes care of the basketball well. Defends without fouling. Laying the points is my strong lean here.

Speaker 1:

All right, interesting here of the chat again, going back and forth about NC State that has some wins. Remember they blew Duke out earlier in the year. Duke has clearly gotten their act together. I saw that firsthand. NC State also got a good win in the ACC tournament as well. Let’s see what it means and what it translates into at altitude here. Coming up for that game in Denver. Next one up is a six 11 matchup in the east regional between Providence and Kentucky. Kentucky is the higher seated team. They’re laying four. The total is 143 in this matchup that is coming up in Greensboro as well just after 7:00 Eastern time. Corby Craig, give me a thought here on Providence and which Kentucky team will we see? Will we see the Kentucky team that won huge games at Tennessee and Arkansas? Or will we see the Kentucky team that couldn’t beat Vanderbilt at home, couldn’t beat Vanderbilt in Nashville at the SEC tournament? What are we getting out of KU, out of UK, Kentucky?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, this is one of the bracket challenges most predicted upsets I believe. And I get it, Kentucky has looked bad. They couldn’t guard Vandy to save their life. They were giving up layups in that game, but also they weren’t. A lot of the threes of Andy hit were contested deep like NBA threes and they also shot 15. They hit 15 straight throws in that game. So I don’t put that as much on Kentucky as people probably are. This number is at four. I think that’s probably a bit too much disrespect. Providence a team also like you see Kentucky’s struggles, but Providence has had struggles all year at this point. So four seems like a really soft number. I would lay it with Kentucky. I haven’t played this game, but on a flat four I highly considered it so it’s not a play for the show by any means, but it was close. I like this Kentucky team.

Also, if you look at basically the outline of a team that’s going to cover spreads, it’s a team who can get second chance, third chance points. The team who wins the rebounding battle covers it like a 60% clip or something ridiculous. But Kentucky can’t hit their second or third chance points. That’s the issue there. But you know they’re going to win the rebound battle. You know they’re going to be a physical down low. I lean towards Kentucky to get it done. But with Wheeler out, I don’t really know where they free throws at the end of the game. That’s kind of my worry because this is line to be a close one, so I have a couple worries, but Kentucky’s the lean.

Speaker 1:

All right, interesting. Kyle Hunter for Providence, beat badly in the senior day game at home by Seaton Hall, then show up and lose against Yukon in a fairly close game. It ended up being a seven point game. They had a big comeback. They’ve lost three straight. Again, Kentucky has some losses down the stretch of the season and they lost right away in the SEC tournament to Vanderbilt. What do we make of this on the neutral floor here in Greensboro, including maybe a thought on the total as well?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, as far as the total, Greensboro’s actually been a pretty decent place for unders in the past, especially with higher totals. Look this one up here yesterday and Greensboro totals of 140 or higher have gone 75 and 47 to the under on the last 122, so decent look there. I know some people like those kind of systems and angles. I don’t bet games solely based on those, but I think it’s one factor to consider certainly. Bryce Hopkins up against his old team. You’re going to hear a lot about that for sure. Consistency wise, Providence has been pretty consistent throughout the year, but I don’t think they’ve been consistently good. They’ve been consistently pretty average. And if you kind of look at their resume, I think Providence was pretty close to not making the tournament. This is a Kentucky team that really nobody’s talking about. Mark said it in the chat and I think that’s right.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Kentucky in the Sweet 16 and nobody’s talking about Kentucky, which feels weird. Kentucky’s usually talked about in a big way. We saw Kentucky beat Tennessee twice now. Tennessee has plenty of flaws, but I think Kentucky is very capable. Kentucky laying the points would be my lean and this one as well. Like Corby, I just don’t know that I trust Providence enough. Ed Cooley, good coach. I respect him quite a bit. Obviously Calipari’s a good coach too, who’s done well against the spread in the tournament. So I would lean Kentucky laying the points in this one.

Speaker 1:

Again, which Kentucky team are you getting? Because there’s a couple people to chat going, “Oh, they turned it on in March.” You did see the SEC tournament in Nashville last weekend where Vanderbilt handled them for a second time late in the year. What Kentucky are we getting? Will Shebwe have a big game? What about Binum and Hopkins, the guards for Ed Cooley’s team? It’s a fascinating matchup, so no official play. By the way, Kevin, let’s put the east bracket up if you don’t mind. We will go ahead and show this to the peeps. I’ve kind of neglected showing you the brackets at this point, but Kentucky and Providence out of the east bracket, we’ll take a look at that. You’ll look on the screen there, kind of middle left of the screen. And you already see Duke and Tennessee have advanced to play each other in Orlando out of the east bracket.

Perdue the top seed up top. Marquette the two seed down at the bottom. Winner of Kentucky Providence gets the winner of Kansas State and Montana State coming up. Good stuff there Kevin on the east bracket to show us that. And again, this game in Greensboro, Kentucky should have a lot of fans there. Will big Blue Nation be making a bunch of noise? We will find out.

Let’s move on to a game that a lot of people are interested in. That is Miami and Drake. Here’s another 12 five game. Is this potentially where the upset is coming? Miami damaged with an injury to one of their big men. Drake, the champions of the Missouri Valley conference. This is only a two point spread. The total is 146 in this matchup coming in Albany, New York, 7:25 Eastern time. Kyle Hunter, begin the discussion here on Miami and Drake for this matchup if you would.

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, I see this one just got steamed, so Miami’s laying three pretty much across the board. Yeah, this is an interesting game because I would’ve thought I wanted to take Drake, but I wouldn’t have expected the line to be this small, so it makes it a little bit hard for me to know what to do in a game like this. I think Drake is a very well coached team and certainly so is Miami. Larrañaga is a great coach. I think both teams have passed to having success on offense. I would lean to the over in this game, this Drake offense is always set up very well. I like the shots that they get. Devry’s a really good offensive mind. I think both teams will knock down quite a few threes in a game like this. Isaiah Wong is obviously the key for Miami. Is he on or not? He’s had some subpar shooting days at times, but I think he has a good matchup here. I don’t know that Drake has anybody that can really stay in front of him consistently.

On the other side, Miami’s defense is not great. Miami does push the pace. I think they can kind of control the pace a bit in a game like this. So I don’t know what to do with the side here because Drake comes in playing really good basketball. Miami’s been a little less consistent here. But having said that, Miami’s been really good away from home, and obviously they’re away from home in this game. I don’t know what to do with the side. I think I like the over a bit here. We’ll see what Corby has to say about the side here.

Speaker 1:

Corby Craig, you’re going to have an official play again. Tucker DeVry has 19 a game. Roman Penn is the point guard. Miami though very guard, talented with Pack, with Wong. Again, they’ve got the injury to the big man. A lot of people are pointing to this game as a 12 five upset. What is your official play, Corby Craig on this matchup?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, enough talking about leans TJ. let’s lock one in. I got Miami at two. Miami guest steamed up by betting group. It’s at three as we’re on the show, so that’s annoying if people just now heard this, but still like it at three. I like this Miami team a lot. Also, Norchad’s going to play today. It’s pretty obvious he ran through full fast break drills, was dunking shooting all yesterday. Ran through the whole hour and a half practice, so he looks fine. We’ll see. [inaudible 00:26:11]-

Speaker 1:

If they talking on the show that coaches including Larrañaga love to do that stuff and then not end up playing the guy, but now they did that on a practice.

Corby Craig:

If they run him through an hour and a half practice as an illusion, then that coach needs firing. That said, even if he’s not back, I feel fine. Another theory that I’ve heard that people were like, “Oh Drakes this is the upset,” is the fact that it’s snowing in Albany, it’s going to snow. And people are like, “Oh they’re from Miami. They’re not used to this.” Isaiah Wong is from Jersey. Nigel Pak is from Philly, I think. It’s not like they live in Miami full-time-

Speaker 1:

And most importantly, the game not being played outside in the snow. It’s climate controls. That’s the most important thing, Corby.

Corby Craig:

Yeah, so I think that the guard play, the biggest thing is Drake has really good guards. Don’t get me wrong. Drake deserves to be in the tournament. They deserve to be a five point dark. But Wal matches up with Pin well. They have plenty of guards to switch off on. I don’t even know how to say his name. But it is just a bad matchup for a jury team who I think people are just trying to force a Cinderella. We’ve seen Miami getting beat by Loyal Chicago years ago. And does that rub off onto the notion that Miami’s a beatable team? But you got to remember that team also had Chris likes injured basically half of the year. So they weren’t a team that was in full capability by any means. So give me Miami, the much more talented team linked to, I think his number should be closer to five, especially if everybody’s back and it should be a good game.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I see some conversation in the chat about injuries, et cetera. You mean like Alabama hiding Brandon Miller’s appearance slight groin pull that he has as they did. Brandon Miller didn’t even score in their opening game and now Alabama’s kind of br bringing that up that, “Hey, he’s battling a little bit of a groin strain.” Oh, not good if you’ve got Alabama going far in this, they need that guy. All right, the official play is Corby Craig’s, he’s on the U, he’s on Miami Hurricanes. He will lay the two here officially on the show. He got it at two. You may see that number higher on the BetUS line for that game coming up in Albany tonight with Drake is at a 12 five upset, looming. We haven’t had one yet. We’ve got VCU that we’ve seen already that we’re talking about that’s a 12 seed. And now as well in this one Drake, will either one of them get it done? Corby does not think so.

Let’s continue. One of the teams that we need to be talking about is Gonzaga. The three seed out of the west bracket. And Gonzaga will take on Grand Canyon, the tournament champs out of the whack. This is a huge number really for an opening round game. It is a three versus 14 game. Third seated Gonzaga’s favored by 15 and a half. The total is 155 in this matchup. And let’s get things underway with some discussion on this. Kyle Hunter, you’re going to have an official play. What is that play on Gonzaga and Grand Canyon?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, this one being played at altitude, it makes it a bit tricky knowing exactly how this one will go. But I think that Gonzaga’s offense is just playing on a completely different level here of late. I’ve gotten to see a lot of Gonzaga on offense. They started the year playing decent on offense, the way they were finishing the year. Just a well oiled machine, fantastic stuff. I know Corby and I both have futures on Gonzaga. I do think they have a decent chance to make a really deep run here in this tournament. Timmy hasn’t even been the focal point of the offense in a lot of those games that they’ve been so successful in. They shoot it really well from three. Julian Strother is a difference maker for sure. They have guys all around the perimeter that can cause you major problems. And I think Drew Timmy’s going to do some major work on the offensive boards in this game as well.

If you look back at Gonzaga in the first round, the last few years, 87 points on Fairley Dickinson in 2019. They scored 98 points against Norfolk State in 2021. 2001 they probably didn’t score 98 points. Georgia State scored 93 points last year. So this team has already put up huge numbers in the first game multiple times. I think they’re going to do that again here. Grand Canyon was not very good defensively. Grand Canyon not faced an offense like Gonzaga. No way. Grand Canyon probably can score enough against Gonzaga defense to at least keep them scoring for a while here. I like Gonzaga team total over 85 and a half. I think this is a Gonzaga team that is going to play at light speed, playing extremely fast. And unless they’re just bricking all their threes, I think this is a good overplay. So I’m going to take the team total over.

Speaker 1:

All right, Corby Craig has got a futures play on Gonzaga. He keeps touting that. Is Grand Canyon kind of roadkill here? Are they in the way for Gonzaga to start off a run in the NCAA tournament or do you think that they can maybe hang with them? It is a lot of points. Corby, any thoughts?

Corby Craig:

Grand Canyon’s kind of like the want to be Gonzaga. They run similar schemes. And they’re really good basketball team for their region and especially at Grand Canyon. But this is just too much on a neutral side. Listen, this Gonzaga team basically every person who plays significant minutes has been in these roles. This is expected for Gonzaga at this point. So it’s nice to see the guards stepping up for Drew Timmy, because a lot of the year they hadn’t. And I completely agree with Kyle, this offense has taken a spark. They really need this Grand Canyon game to be the defensive spark. Because as people talk about it in the chat, listen, I am the biggest Gonzaga fan for the next three weeks. I could promise you that. And I hate their defense. So I would love to see an 87 to 20 game and just get this defense sparked up. But I don’t imagine that happens. But I do think this is-

Speaker 1:

What are you holding on the future? What are you getting?

Corby Craig:

Way too much on a 34 to one Gonzaga. So excited-

Speaker 1:

Wow. Holding a 34 to one Gonzaga ticket. Let’s go Zags. And let’s see how it goes in the opening round here. This is in Denver Friday night and Kyle Hunters says, “Points, points, points for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.” We will lock him in on their team total over 85 and a half on the BetUS line for that matchup coming up tonight. You see that right there on the screen. We have broken as we thought we might the live audience record right now for the season and maybe all time. Keep going. Wait a minute, let me look at my button to viewer ratio right now. The ratio still, the ratio is like 11 to one on live viewers versus like button. Hit the like button. Stop what we’re doing right now and I want to see a bunch of you hit the button and subscribe to the show. Share us out. Let more people know that that we’re here. We’re going to be here for another 10 or 15 minutes, probably, leading you up to noon Eastern time. And we’re back Saturday.

Special Saturday show as well coming on Saturday at 11:00 AM. We’re typically here Monday through Friday, but you can’t get enough of us. We’ll know the matchups obviously for Saturday, we already do, but we’ll also know the Sunday matchups that’s tomorrow at 11:00 AM here on the show. Get some questions and answers running here. We’ll get to those here in a couple of moments after the official plays are all finished and done. All right, here we go. Here we go next with Columbus, Ohio and the eight nine game in the east. This is my Memphis Tigers, who won the eight nine game by the way a year ago over Boise State. Now they’re back in it with a Florida Atlantic team that’s had the best season in school history. Who are they? They’re the conference USA regular season and tournament champs. They beat someone’s UAB Blazers badly. Sorry, Corby, in the title game. Now here we go in an eight nine game with Memphis minus two on the neutral floor, total 152 and a half. Tigers won the American conference tournament title beating Houston without Marcus Sasser in the championship game.

Corby Craig, start the discussion and make an official play if you would on Memphis FAU tonight.

Corby Craig:

This is a redemption tour, TJ. Listen. FAU, they did me wrong. They did me dirty. So give me the Tigers minus two. But listen, I have better reasons than that. I think Memphis is a really good basketball team. The big thing here for me is just look at a market analysis. So FAU plays UAB. UABs a three point favor to close on a neutral court, probably more neutral than this. But then you get FAU kills him, yada yada yada. But then you get a Memphis team now two point favorite. Do you think that UAB is a point and a half better on a news record than Memphis? I don’t. And then listen, I probably the most annoyingly favored UAB Blazer that there is. And I’m giving Memphis more than a plus one and a half here.

I think Kendrick Davis better than Jelly as a facilitator, as a basketball player overall. Jelly’s a great story, but Kendrick Davis, the guard player of the bigs, they rebound better. They have the ability to shut down FAU in all five positions. Getting at two just seems kind of crazy if you’re giving UAB three and a half last matchup. So is this an exaggeration from FAU beating UAB by what, 18, when Jelly shot two for 26? Probably so. I think this is too dramatic of a move. I think that if that game doesn’t happen or if that game ends in a one, two, three point win, this is Memphis at four and a half five. And so grabbing a flat too, I feel really good with this Memphis game here.

Memphis is probably one of the higher momentum teams in the nation playing great basketball when it matters most. And I think this Memphis team or FAU to be honest, see a Purdue in round two and the 32 and give Purdue one hell of a run. So I think Memphis could probably beat Purdue there, but I’ll stick with day one, game one, give me Memphis minus two.

Speaker 1:

You know where my allegiance lies here. Again, for the peeps that are just joining us, I’ve got the shirt on, if you can see that. I’ve got the Memphis polo on already in the 11:00 AM Eastern time hour. They don’t play till almost 10 o’clock tonight. I got to wait all day for this. John L. Davis is a good guard leading score for FAU. Memphis though with Kendrick Davis who is the former player of the year in the conference in the American conference transferred to Memphis. He’s Memphis’ best player. He played very well at the American tournament, including in the win over Houston this past weekend. All right, let’s see what this looks like in Columbus, Ohio. Kyle Hunter, thoughts including maybe on the total. Interesting that Purdue will be up first. The Purdue game with fairly Dickinson before Memphis and FAU. All right, thought Kyle Hunter, including the total maybe, FAU Memphis?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, I think this is going to be a pretty hot ticket here in Columbus with Purdue, Michigan State playing. I know I looked at the ticket prices there. They were shooting pretty high. Big fan maces there at Nationwide Arena. As far as the total here, I’m going to agree with Leonard in the chat thinking that over 152 and a half is probably the play here in this game. I think the pace will be extremely quick. Memphis a team that is very good at dictating the tempo. They make you play the way they want to play. They can press, force a lot of turnovers get out in transition. Florida Atlantic has a ton of good guards. They do rotate a lot of guys in a very deep team. I think you could argue that Florida Atlantic got a pretty tough draw here. This Florida Atlantic team was such a good record being seated the place they did against the Memphis team playing really well, given no favors to the mid-major team there.

I think I would go with Memphis on the side and take an over here and Memphis team total over may be my favorite. I think this is just an up and down game. I do think Florida Atlantic keeps this one close. I think this is one of the best games of the day. So from a fan perspective, and I know TJ will be watching, but this is one of my favorite games to watch here today. TJ, do you have any thoughts on this game? And you’re a Memphis guy, what do you think about this?

Speaker 1:

I generally stay away from trying to handicap, especially in my own school situation. What, am I going to come on the BetUS show and say they’re not going to win? So I got Memphis money line, right? Why not for this? Of course I’m saying that they’re going to win. And keep in mind, Penny Hardaway has progressed as a coach. They won the NIT post-season games. Now that was a compressed tournament all in the Dallas Fort Worth area with no travel for the NIT, and they won that tournament. A year ago they win all the way out, I think it was in Portland, and beat Boise State in the opening round of the tournament. Then had Gonzaga on the ropes for a while all the way out west for what that’s worth. And now you see this team win the American conference Tournament. Penny Hardaway as a March coach, I think developing a little bit here.

And he’s got a veteran club. Again, Deandre Williams is 26 years old, so you know what? Look, the only thing that’s spooking me is everybody with the love from Memphis and talking about they’re going to beat Purdue. They’re going to be in the Elite Eight. Stop it. Stop it. Just win the game tonight and then we’ll talk about Purdue and whatever’s next tomorrow on the show. For now, lock my man Corby in, please Kevin. Lock him in at Memphis. He got the price at minus two on the BetUS line. That number may be up a little bit after the show or later in the day, but Corby says, “Go Tigers, go.” Penny Hardaway and the Memphis Tigers here on a Friday night in Columbus, Ohio.

One official game left to discuss. We’ll probably touch on the other games in the Q and A in moment. That last game is Kent State and Indiana. Which Indiana team are we going to see in this matchup this evening? They’re laying four and a half with Kent State who won the Mid-America Conference, the MAC. This game in Albany, New York is the final game on the floor tonight, just before 10:00 PM. The total 140 and a half. Kyle Hunter we’re right back to you for an official play on the Hoosiers who were beaten by Penn State in the semi-finals. It’s disappointing that we didn’t get Indiana and Purdue in the championship game of the Big 10 in Chicago last Sunday. That’s because Penn State took him out. Trace Jackson Davis is one of the best players, one of the best big men in all of college basketball. What are we getting tonight? Kent State, Indiana handicap. Give me an official play please?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, and that Indiana loss to Penn State doesn’t look as bad when you see Penn State play the way they did last night. Jalen Picketts playing fantastic right now and obviously Funk was just nailing everything. This is a Indiana team that I don’t trust a lot to make a deep run, that I don’t know that their coaching is the best and I don’t know that their overall team consistency is what I would want to see. I think Kent State is definitely a live dog. The problem is everybody’s taking Kent State in a game like that. That always worries me. As soon as everybody says, “Oh, here’s the upset for the first round,” that does a couple things. It makes me think twice, that it also gives extra motivation to the more talented team.

In this game, I think that Kent State wants to slow the game down. It would surprise me if they don’t. They slowed the game down twice against Houston and Gonzaga. They almost won those two games. They were very good defensively in those games. Fantastic game plan. Rob Senderoff, not a fan of Indiana based on his past. I think he’ll have a good game plan here. This game’s played at MVP Arena in Albany. This has been a really good under venue in the past. In fact, the last 200 games here, almost exactly 60% to the under. So in this one I like Kent State to keep Indiana lower scoring than expected. If you look at Kent State, they have some good length. Their defenders are pretty good. Horn Beak, Peyton Long and Athletic and Jacobs is a fantastic one-on-one defender. I think that they can slow down this Indiana team.

Indiana, while Trace Jackson Davis is certainly their star player, they have some other guys. Hood-Schifino is a key for this team. If he can’t get going, I think that’s really massive. I kind of wonder if Kent is going to let Jackson Davis get his and try to slow down the rest of the team in a game like this. But I like the under for Indiana, so I’m going to take the under for the team total under for Indiana and this one, I believe it’s 72 and a half. So that’s what I’m going to lock in for this one.

Speaker 1:

All right, so we got you on the official play. All right, what do we make of this Corby Craig? We talked a lot about Toledo all the time with Mid-Major Matt, and this Kent State team handled Toledo in the championship game back last Saturday night and scored 93 points when they did it. Thoughts including on maybe on the overall total Corby on this one?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, Kent State’s a good basketball team. It’s no shock that this number’s this low. I see Mark talking. Kent State is the firm and pick of Friday. And the market would agree. This is four, four and a half. Similar to what Furman what closed five and a half I believe? So pretty close closing line, FA closes at this point. See there’s been a little bit of steam because it was Indiana at four I believe. So some money going in on Indiana. I think Kent’s probably the side I would lean towards the under. I’ve been on Kent State overs basically all year, which have been not the most fun in the world. They play a lot of scrappy defense. And when they did win they would win by a point or two, it wasn’t that I saw some edge in the market that wasn’t there. So their defense really scrappy. I think they’re going to have to be extra scrappy to keep this Indiana team in front of them by any means. So I would lean in under a 140 and a half, but the number’s pretty much on market. I think I had it at 139, so not really much for me just to lean and maybe a Kent state shock the world spot.

Speaker 1:

Kevin, if you would put the Midwest bracket up where we can see that just real quick. Because again, this is where Kent State and Indiana are slotted Indiana as the four seat in the Midwest. As we take a look on the screen, you’ll see that on the screen, right? You see Houston and Auburn have already advanced at the top. Texas and Penn State down at the bottom. You see Kent State, Indiana kind of middle right in the four 13 matchup and the winter gets the winner of Drake and Miami. Is this the chalk with Miami and Indiana or is this bracket busting time with Drake and Kent State maybe for a slot in the Sweet 16? Look out on this one for the matchup there between Indiana and Kent State. All right, back on screen here. We need to lock Kyle Hunter in. This is the final official play for a Friday and it is on Indiana’s team total to stay under 72 and a half for the matchup with Kent State in the late night Friday night game that is in Albany, New York, the last game up on the floor there.

Wow. All right, we gave you a bunch on those games. There are a bunch of other games that are obviously going on. We’ll try to get to some quick thoughts on some of those with some Q and A. The guys will sit here for a few more minutes. Man, the live audience soaring. It is a live audience record, I believe in the existence of the show. Keep it up, hit the like button, make sure you’re subscribed, share the show out as well. We’re doing fantastic here today. Let’s see. All right, so coming up is USC and Michigan State in the first game of the day. Let me see who was asking about that. Nesto was asking about that. Thank you for watching Nesto. Corby Craig, quick thought. This’ll be up on the floor in about 30 minutes as the first game of Friday of 16. Corby.

Corby Craig:

Yeah, I’m on this show so I really don’t know what’s happening, but I would assume the news has came out. I talked about this on Monday, but Drew Peterson, people that don’t watch enough basketball haven’t noticed, but Drew Peterson is hurt. He’s been hurt. He has scored five, five and nine in his last three games. He’s been hurt for all of them and he’s played and he has still hurt. He’s, I’m assuming, warming up and that’s why there’s steam. But DraftKings has pushed us up to three. It was two this morning, so I’m assuming he looks miserable at warmups. But given Michigan State, I’ve already bet some Michigan State, I got one and a half and twos, but up to three is fine. Drew Peterson is going to play this game hurt for sure. Give me his though in March. I like this spot. If Peterson can do his own while having a nagging injury, then by all means I’m sure it won’t affect him a hundred percent. But the kid has not looked right in quite some time at this point.

Speaker 1:

Again, Michigan State was minus two and a half on the BetUS line when the show began about 50 minutes ago. So it may be going up depending on if he’s working out, et cetera. Kyle, quick thought. Early body clock game for USC, a Western team playing at 9:00 AM on their body clock or a little after. Any factor there and maybe something on the total real quick?

Kyle Hunter:

Michigan State totals are very hard. I’ve never done very well with them. They’re pretty inconsistent on their pace. I agree with Corby based on Drew Peterson. I think Peterson’s the most important player on the USC team too. And Booky Ellis gets a lot of talk, but Peterson’s very important to the team. And I love the A trains comment in the chat too. People who not clicking the like button are the worst snow people. Nice.

Speaker 1:

Good enough on that. So some thoughts on that game and again, get to it quickly because it’s the first game up of the 16. Let’s move quickly. Mark wants to know about Kennesaw State. Do they have a chance to hang in with Xavier, the three C who got all the way to the Big East title game? Kennesaw won on their home floor by a point over Lipscomb to win the Atlantic Sun Tournament. That was about a week and a half ago, though they haven’t played. So here again, Xavier’s played since Kennesaw stayed. Big line, double digit line thoughts real quick guys? Anything?

Corby Craig:

Kennesaw’s fun. And listen, I root for them. It would be fun to watch another Princeton, but I just don’t think this is the spot to do it. Kennesaw’s a really good basketball team in comparison to the teams they played. And I’m taking Sean Miller.

Speaker 1:

Kyle Hunter, anything on this or you want to move on, on Xavier Kennesaw?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, I guess I lean to the under it being so high with a decent size spread. But Xavier, Kennesaw State tempo would scare me on thick in an under certainly. So I don’t have anything strong on this one.

Speaker 1:

We love the handle gas station sushi. That’s in the live chat on the show. And thank you for finding us again. He’s asking about Baylor and UC Santa Barbara. Again, I think the Gauchos can keep this one closed. He’s interested in the total, Kyle Hunter. Something on that real quick?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, under is my lean. I missed the best number. I think Corby might have liked the under in this one as well. This Baylor team has not played good defense all throughout the course of the season. I keep waiting for them to be better. Their tempo is not very fast though. And I don’t think UCSB wants to run and a game like this. So I think the tempo is so slow that they really have to shoot very well to get above this total. So still lean to the under, don’t know what to do with the side. Do you think Baylor’s still capable of making a run here?

Speaker 1:

Corby, Robert is watching us. He’s interested in the side. He’s interested in laying the eight and a half with Baylor. That’s interesting that the numbers come down a point or so this week. Maybe some interest in the Gauchos. Any thought Corby on the side and Baylor?

Corby Craig:

Where’s there an eight and a half? It’s 11 at Pinnacle, so if you can get an eight and a half, I would smack it. As for the total that was asked about, I bet as Kyle alluded to, I bet the 145 under 144 and 143, it’s at 141 at this point. We’re getting close. I had this 138. You’re scraping pennies. I think maybe a first half under. The issue is it’s played in Denver so I think the altitude, it wasn’t acclimated in the opening line I don’t think, which, maybe I’m wrong. But I think the only way that Cal Santa Barbara keeps up in this game is they slow it down to their pace. 300 and like 16th in the nation in tempo. I don’t have it in front of me, but it’s close to that.

Baylor’s second in the nation in offensive efficiency, but they really don’t play that fast. If you watch the Baylor game, they usually, if they don’t get transitioned, they pull it out and they try to set these ISO double screens that usually don’t work. And then they just play, they’re just a talented basketball team. So they slowed down a lot more than you would think. I think two 17 in tempo, again, I’m just making this up off the top of my head. But under would be my lean. Probably a first half under at this point, but I grabbed the better number. Like the what one? I think four. What is it at right now? 131 or 141?

Speaker 1:

It’s at 141 and a half I believe on the BetUS line for that number for Baylor and UCSB. And Kevin put the south bracket up real quick if you would. We’ll show that bracket that has Alabama and Maryland having already won at the top of it. Look at Kevin. He’s all over it today on the show. San Diego has stayed and Furman plugged in from Orlando in the games that I saw. So that’s the top half of the bracket and you see UCSB and Baylor. Creighton and NC State will plug in the bottom half along with Missouri and Princeton. Hello with a 10 and a 15 playing each other boys for somebody to go to the Sweet 16 already in the bottom half of that bracket in the south bracket. All right, we come back on the screen a couple of more moments for questions and answers. We’re touching on as many games as possible. Let’s see if we can get to every game if we can.

Who’s asking me that question about Arizona State and TCU? Jacob, thank you for watching. He wants to know about Arizona State, TCU. Any thoughts guys on that? Just real quick.

Corby Craig:

I think Arizona State’s a more live dog than you would give him credit for. And these 11 seats have played these playing games. I think there’s a track record of them doing pretty well. At least one of the teams do pretty well every year. So TCU-

Speaker 1:

Arizona Stat got all the way to the final four. Two years ago UCLA got all the way to the final four to your point. Keep going.

Corby Craig:

Yes. It seems like a lot of people aren’t talking about the idea that this TCU team though they’re very good and they still have a lot of talent, have issues. Like Lampkin is out of the team. He didn’t leave for no reason. So there’s definitely something happening in the backend and I think this TCU team probably a little more rattled than people were giving him credit for.

Speaker 1:

Kyle, anything on this or you want to move on Arizona State TCU?

Kyle Hunter:

Kind of like you over a little bit. I think the pace will be quick in a game like that. Obviously it depends on if Arizona state’s making their shots. Nevada’s defense made him look really good in that last game. I think the tempo would suggest an over but we’ll see what the efficiencies look like. I think the side’s just about right.

Speaker 1:

Kai F is watching says Marquette and Vermont. That’s the two against the 15. He has questions about the total, 144. Thoughts on the over Kyle, anything?

Kyle Hunter:

Yeah, I don’t like the over in a game like this because I don’t like the widespread pretty high total games. Unless you think Vermont’s going to keep it close all the way to the end and there’ll be some fouling late in the game then I think this is a minus EV to bet overs in games like this. We’ve seen unders and the big spread games and the NCAA tournament do really well, especially in the first round. So this one’s come down some so you’re not getting the best number if you play the under. But I think the over is a tricky bet there.

Speaker 1:

Let’s go quickly. Corby, anything on this or you want to move off of it real quick on Marquette Vermont?

Corby Craig:

I agree under nothing. Shaka’s is going to try to not blow his team out by any means.

Speaker 1:

One one thing to note again, Shaka Smart’s last six games straight up with Virginia Commonwealth and then at Texas and then at Marquette. He’s oh six straight up in the NCAA tournament. His last six games, all of them opening games even in the first four hasn’t won any of them. There are two seed. Is Vermont going to give them trouble? Let’s see. Rameek watching us just real quick. Kansas State and Montana State, we haven’t touched on that. Kyle, anything on the total just real quick?

Kyle Hunter:

I lean under on this one as well. 140, I think that’s a fair number to take the under. The question mark is can Montana State’s defense be good enough against Kansas State? Kansas State does run a bit. Kansas State’s defense efficiency-wise is very good. Montana State I think is better equipped to at least play a close game than several of these other teams. They do have some really good guys in the front court. Bellow’s a great player, Osabo’s a good player. Rayquan Battle. I think Montana State’s fairly talented. Big Sky hasn’t done well in this tournament but I think they can kind of stay in that game.

Speaker 1:

Good enough. Corby, anything there real quick on K State, Montana State before we get out of here?

Corby Craig:

Yeah, everybody in the chat’s talking about live dogs. If I was to have one, this would be at Montana State to win outright. I didn’t bet it but I do think Montana State has really good basketball team. I think they could win outright. They could also lose by 20. They’re going to be forced to play a scheme that is that. You’re going to see high pressure and do things that they don’t really want to do.

Speaker 1:

Well done. Live doggie, Montana State Bobcats maybe in that one. Dave is asking about Iona Yukon. If there’s a live dog that can win. I saw that Iona team six days ago in Atlantic City. For what it’s worth, Rick Patino’s got guards, he’s got some size, they can give Yukon trouble. There’s the TJ analysis. Five second take from either one of you on side or total Yukon, Iona. Corby, quick take?

Corby Craig:

Iona’s a really good team. Lean towards the over. Should be a really good game.

Speaker 1:

Kyle Hunter, anything?

Kyle Hunter:

Corby and I disagree on this one. We don’t disagree too much but I kind of like the under. I liked it better when it hadn’t steamed to the under, but that would be my lean.

Speaker 1:

Just remember me in about five or six hours when Iona is hanging in. It’s not if. When Iona’s hanging in and maybe winning this game. Look out. He’s got guards, he’s got size and Patino can coach. Patino against Danny Hurley in the coaching matchup? Hello. Let’s see what happens. The only other game we didn’t talk about is Purdue and they’re opening game with fairly Dickinson. Five second take guys. Perdue rolls quick?

Corby Craig:

I hope Purdue wins about 50 so I can fade them in round two.

Speaker 1:

Kyle Hunter?

Kyle Hunter:

Agree, feel the same on that.

Speaker 1:

Especially with Memphis potentially in the way. All right, take a look here at the best bets. By the way, there’s the east bracket. You see Purdue at the top of it. Memphis and Florida Atlantic, all those games. Those two games in Columbus, Ohio. Bottom of the bracket is Marquette and Vermont. The winner gets the winner of Michigan State and USC, which is coming up in just a few minutes. There’s your east bracket.

All right guys, time for your best bets if you weren’t with us at the beginning of the show. Here’s what the handicaps are officially on. Kyle on two team totals, one over one under. Corby on two sides, Miami and Memphis. Will TJ be in a good mood smiling ear to ear tomorrow on the Saturday show? We’re about to find out. 16 more games ready to go here on the program.
