(Video) College Basketball Picks for Today (Nov 28th): Predictions and Best Betting Odds

Best College Basketball Bets on Nov. 28th

Arkansas vs. Illinois Betting Analysis

We’re going to kick off our college basketball predictions with a late afternoon contest and one that Jeff ‘Big Man on Campus’ Nadu is advising everyone who will listen to back the Razorbacks.

I can’t say I blame him, especially considering the oddsmakers are giving them a 2 ½ point head start over an Illinois team that bullies the smaller programs but folds like a cheap suit when they face any degree of competition.

It was two years ago when these teams met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and Arkansas came away with a 73-63 victory. Now they will meet again, only this time it will be at a neutral site, the T Mobile Arena in Kansas City. This game will be similar to their last clash in that it will be a low-scoring affair between two defensive-minded teams.

The total in this one caught my attention as well, but I’m sticking with the more polished squad of the two and one that has more muscle down low and heft on the glass. Let’s toss a few bucks on Arkansas to not only cover as 2 ½ point neutral-site dogs but to win this one outright in our NCAAB picks today.

Pick: Arkansas +2 ½ (-110)

Pick: Arkansas +120 ML

TCU vs. Santa Clara Betting Analysis

I’m a fan of Matt’s NCAAB best bets, and I can’t help but agree with his inclusion of Santa Clara in his college basketball picks this afternoon. Santa Clara averages over 77 points per game and is connecting on nearly 44% of their shots. This is a team that can score in buckets, but its defense has been lacking.

Although TCU has some decent wins this season, they are essentially a team that can be prone to defensive letdowns. Their transitional game sputters more often than it should, while Santa Clara can run up and down the court without taking a breath.

Below are a few stats and trends worth noting:

  • Santa Clara has won 19 of its last 21 Thursday games.
  • TCU has lost three of its last four games played at neutral venues.
  • TCU has lost the first half in three of its last four games played at neutral venues.

The Broncos seem to rise to the level of their competition, and they gave Stanford a real go of it on Saturday in a 71-69 loss and obliterated UC Riverside by 42 points only days before that.

This is a team that is starting to get into a groove, so grab the points and back the Broncos.

Pick: Santa Clara +4 (-110)
