Best NFL Bets for Super Bowl Sunday: Eagles vs. Chiefs
Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs Betting Analysis
After BetUS NFL handicapper Las Vegas Cris gave us his NFL game breakdown of Super Bowl 59, it was easy to see why he’s got the Philadelphia Eagles as one of his major wagers this weekend. It’s hard to bet against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs because all they do is win.
I get it, Cris gets it, KC is one helluva team, but even a freight train stops, and the station is right around the corner with the Eagles preparing to throw the Chiefs out of the lead car and start driving that train back to Philly with the Vince Lombardi Trophy in hand. The Kansas City offense is not what it once was, and it’s only because Patrick Mahomes is so good that the Chiefs keep on rolling.
However, I believe the Eagles are more talented top to bottom, and the Chiefs’ defense will have its hands full trying to contain the human steamroller, Saquon Barkley while keeping tabs on the dynamic duo of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. That is a tall task for any defense, and although this iteration of Kansas City’s defense is stout, it is far from historic.
I’m just not seeing how the Eagles will lose this game. They are the more talented of the two teams, even if Jalen Hurts is a click below Patrick Mahomes future Hall of Fame level. Even Travis Kelce is no longer the monster he once was, and who can expect him to be at 35 years old?
Nope, give me the Eagles plus the small head start, and I’ll see you at the windows cashing a ticket.
Best NFL Prop Bet – Dallas Goedert 4.5 Total Receptions
The average fan will be looking for all the stars to shine in this one. Yes, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will have their spotlight moments, as will the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley and AJ Brown. Those are pretty much given, but one guy who is not being talked about, except on our BetUS Super Bowl TV show, is Philadelphia’s tight end, Dallas Goedert.
I was happy to hear our resident blue-chip NFL handicapper Steve Fezzik was as optimistic about Goedert’s chances of making an impact in the Super Bowl as I was. In Steve’s Eagles vs. Chiefs betting analysis, he mentioned that KC has had a difficult time locking down opponents’ tight ends, and since that is the case, Goedert should have no problem catching five passes or more in this one.
Against the Commanders in the NFC Championship, Goedert caught 7 of 8 targets for 85 yards. There is no question Jalen Hurts will be looking for that big body as an outlet receiver to move the chains on Sunday.
