It would be tough to live up to the action-packed UFC schedule in March, but April is holding back no punches. We get one week off then it’s back to some turbo-charged UFC betting featuring several critical tilts. You can bet on all of these fights from the best online sportsbook as we unpack what the UFC has in store for us this month.
April UFC Events
UFC on ABC: Darren Till vs Marvin Vettori
- Also Known As: UFC on ABC 2, UFC Vegas 23
- Date: April 10, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Enterprise, NA, USA
- Broadcast: ABC, ESPN+
We’ve got an important middleweight clash as our headliner here. Darren Till and Marvin Vettori clash in a battle between Europe’s two best contenders. UFC betting odds have Vettori as a considerable favorite, but this fight will be a banger and could produce Israel Adesanya’s next opponent.
Also featured in the event is co-main event between Sodiq Yusuff and Arnold Allen, two of the UFC’s hottest prospects turned contenders. A win here could produce the division’s next star and a future featherweight champion. Strawweight contenders Nina Ansaroff and Mackenzie Dern also meet in a featured strawweight bout.
UFC Fight Night: Robert Whittaker vs Kelvin Gastelum
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 188, UFC on ESPN+ 46
- Date: April 17, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Enterprise, NA, USA
- Broadcast: ESPN, ESPN+
It’s a fight two years in the making as former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker finally gets to battle former middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum. The pair was initially set to meet two years ago when Whittaker pulled out and Gastelum faced Adesanya months later in what would be one of the greatest MMA fights ever.
Another middleweight tilt is featured here with Gerald Meerschaert looking to halt a two-loss fighting skid against longtime grinder Bartosz Fabinski. Hot flyweight prospect Tracy Cortez also returns to action against gritty veteran Justine Kish in what should either be a showcase fight for Cortez or career-turning win for Kish.
UFC 261: Usman vs Masvidal 2
- Date: April 24, 2021
- Venue: VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonvilla, FL, USA
- Broadcast: Pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+
Dana White announced the hotly anticipated rematch between welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and “Baddest Mofo” Jorge Masvidal is official for UFC 261. That’s not all. Jacksonville will get a crowd of up to 15,000 fans, the first UFC event to have this many fans since UFC 248 back in March 2020.
Joining Usman and Masvidal will be strawweight champion Weili Zhang returning to defend her title against Rose Namajunas. Zhang is fresh off the greatest women’s fight from the aforementioned UFC 248 event. Namajunas is looking to reclaim her belt after avenging her loss against Jessica Andrade.
Andrade herself will be looking for a new title as she hopes to dethrone flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko. This makes three championship fights in what should be another loaded UFC PPV to cap off the month.
