Coming Up in UFC & MMA: June Events

June is another busy month for fights as the UFC leads a packed schedule that features half a dozen championship fights and over five former or current world champions in action. Plenty of these UFC betting lines are already available.

UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs Sakai

The UFC kicks things off with a heavyweight clash between two prospects turned contenders: Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-2-0) versus Augusto Sakai (15-2-1). Both are looking to rebound off losses as Rozenstruik is a slight betting favorite at -130. The comeback on Sakai is at even money.

PFL 2021 #4: Pettis vs Martinez

Broadcast: ESPN 2, ESPN+

Former WEC and UFC champion Anthony Pettis (24-11-0) returns looking to get his first win in PFL after an upset loss last time. Alex Martinez (8-0-0) won his PFL debut. Despite Pettis’s disappointing first fight with PFL, he should be a sizable favorite here.

Bellator 260: Lima vs Amosov

Broadcast: Showtime

Douglas Lima (32-8-0) puts his welterweight title on the line against unbeaten Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov (25-0-0). While Lima will likely be the favorite here, Amosov could be an interesting bet as a three-time world Sambo champion who could give the champ fits.

UFC 263: Adesanya vs Vettori 2

Broadcast: Pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+

Two championship fights that are also two rematches headline the UFC’s next PPV. Israel Adesanya (20-1-0) returns to middleweight to fend off Marvin Vettori (17-3-1), who has won five straight since narrowly losing to Adesanya three years ago. The champ is -260 to win again while Vettori will be a +200 underdog.

In the co-main event, flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo (20-1-1) looks to settle things with Brandon Moreno (18-5-2) once and for all. Figueiredo and Moreno fought to a draw late last year and the champion is favored at -260 to beat Moreno (+200) this time.

PFL 2021 #5: MacDonald vs Tibau

Broadcast: ESPN 2, ESPN+

Rory MacDonald (22-6-1) meets Gleison Tibau (34-15-0) in a welterweight clash with MacDonald looking for another dominant win under PFL. Tibau has mainly fought at lightweight and is 0-1 in PFL. MacDonald will be a massive favorite in this fight.

UFC on ESPN: The Korean Zombie vs Ige

Date: June 19, 2021

Broadcast: ESPN, ESPN+

Chan Sung Jung aka “The Korean Zombie” (16-6-0) returns against Dan Ige (15-3-0) with both featherweights gunning to entertain and get a title shot. This should be a fun fight as long as it lasts and the odds here will be close, likely in favor of Jung.

Bellator 261: Johnson vs Moldavsky

Venue: Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT, USA
Broadcast: Showtime

More big boys clash as Timothy Johnson (15-6-0) meets Valentin Moldavsky (10-1-0) for the interim heavyweight title. Johnson has won three straight while Molvadsky has won five. This pits two elite grapplers against each other with Johnson pitting his wrestling against Moldavsky’s sambo.

UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Volkov

Date: June 26, 2021
Venue: UFC Apex, Enterprise, NA, USA
Broadcast: ESPN+

We could be looking at new champion Francis Ngannou’s next opponent if either Ciryl Gane (8-0-0) or Alexander Volkov (33-8-0) has an impressive win here. Expect Gane to be the favorite as he books a blockbuster bout against his old training partner, who just knocked out Stipe Miocic back in UFC 260.
