There is no slowing the UFC as March is fast approaching. The UFC is hosting not one but two major Pay-Per-View events and has sandwiched a pair of Fight Nights as well. online sports betting odds will be available from the BetUS online sportsbook as we preview all these events.
UFC 259: Blachowicz vs Adesanya
- Date: March 6, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
March kicks things off with the biggest PPV event of the year. We’ve got three title fights here headlined by the “Champion versus Champion” bout featuring UFC Middleweight Champion and rising superstar Israel Adesanya (20-0-0) challenging newly minted UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz (27-8-0).
UFC odds peg Adesanya as a decided favorite here, but this is something the Polish knockout artist is used to. We could see the next dual champion in the UFC or another epic upset.
The co-main event sees the return of arguably the greatest “Champ Champ” in UFC history, Amanda Nunes (20-4-0) who defends her featherweight strap against Megan Anderson (10-4-0).
And finally, UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan (15-1-0) takes on the unstoppable Aljamain Sterling (19-3-0) in a fight that could just steal the show.
UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs TBA
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 187, UFC on ESPN+ 45
- Date: March 13, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
It’s a shame that the original headliner here between Leon Edwards (18-3-0) and hot prospect Khamzat Chimaev (9-0-0) fell through again. Edwards now looks for a new opponent and there is no official UFC news yet as to who will step up to fight on a month’s notice.
Edwards, who has not lost a fight since losing to current champion Kamaru Usman five years ago, has not competed since beating Rafael dos Anjos last July of 2019. If he can’t find an opponent, this event may need a new main event or could get postponed.
Other notable fights here include a heavyweight clash between longtime veteran Ben Rothwell (38-13-0) and Brazilian striker Philipe Lins (14-5-0) and an explosive middleweight bout between Eryk Anders (13-5-0) and Darren Stewart (12-6-0).
UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Holland
- Also Known As: UFC Fight Night 188, UFC on ESPN+ 46
- Date: March 20, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
Our next Fight Night is a banger as the fastest rising middleweight contender Kevin Holland (26-5-0) puts his winning streak on the line against the dangerous Derek Brunson (21-7-0). UFC odds side with Holland here as the favorite.
Holland graduated from being a top prospect to a contender. This card is a showcase of some of the UFC’s most promising ones. This includes blue-chipper Jamahal Hill (8-0-0) at light heavyweight who is fighting “The Bear Jew” Paul Craig (14-4-1), an author of some of the UFC’s most exciting fights.
Other prospects to watch are lightweight Grant Dawson (16-1-0) who is 4-0 in the UFC two submission wins, bantamweight Adrian Yanez (12-3-0) who is coming off a scintillating head kick knockout, and 21-year-old strawweight Kay Hansen (7-4-0) who’s ready to get back to winning.
UFC 260: Miocic vs Ngannou 2
- Date: March 27, 2021
- Venue: UFC Apex – Las Vegas, NA, USA
Capping off March is another loaded PPV featuring two title fights. The greatest UFC heavyweight of all time Stipe Miocic (20-3-0) looks to defend against the most dangerous man on the planet: Francis Ngannou (15-3-0). Miocic turned Ngannou back three years ago and UFC betting odds have Ngannou as a favorite again.
Co-headlining is the UFC Featherweight Championship bout between champion Alexander Volkanovski (22-1-0) defending against Brian “T-City” Ortega (15-1-0). Volkanovski is coming off a controversial win over former champ Max Holloway and will look for a more definitive win here, but Ortega keeps getting better every time he fights.
Also on the card is former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (19-6-1) taking on top-ten contender Vicente Luque (19-7-1) as he looks to end his three-fight losing streak.
More Upcoming UFC Events
While we’re all excited for March, we can’t look past the next coming UFC event on February 27 featuring an epic heavyweight clash between Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-1-0) who has ungodly knockout power, and Ciryl Gane (7-0-0), who is a training partner to Ngannou.
BetUS will have betting lines for all the fights from these UFC events and more. While you get hyped for the fights, take some time to read the sportsbook reviews page and learn how to make the most of your plays.
