KSI Thought He Could Fight Demetrious Johnson…He Thought Wrong!

YouTubers Need to Understand There Are Levels to the Fighting Game

So, You Want to Be a Fighter?

KSI is one of the most successful influencers globally and is best known for his YouTube channel, which has led to his recognition as a talent worldwide. However, he has dipped his toes in many other areas of business, including music, boxing, and his partnership with Logan Paul that saw the social media behemoths garner huge success with PRIME hydration drink.

Well, as far as the boxing thing goes, perhaps KSI has been walloped in the head one-two-many times because, for some reason, a recent collaboration with the UFC news flyweight GOAT, Demetrious Johnson, had him thinking he could stand a chance with him on the ground! This recent KSI vs Demetrious Johnson fight for grappling supremacy certainly opened some eyes.

Mighty Mouse Batters KSI

It’s nothing new… Non-MMA athletes wanting to test themselves against the world’s most dangerous UFC fighters. Well, for KSI, just like many before him, he had to learn the hard way.

Both Demitrious Johnson and KSI have appeared on one another’s podcasts, and there is zero animosity between the two. This, however, didn’t prevent KSI from challenging the former UFC champion, proclaiming that he could easily survive 60 seconds in a grappling war.

To no surprise, KSI allowed his confidence to get the better of him, stating that he could definitely survive a full minute of grappling with Johnson, particularly if he were in full mount position. However, KSI was slapped with reality quickly as Johnson completely dominated him! The outcome of the KSI vs Demetrious Johnson fight on the mats was a swift demonstration of high-level grappling.

How Did Johnson Fight KSI?

Mighty Mouse, who’s renowned for his speed and technique as a 125 lb fighter, and is still regarded as the greatest flyweight competitor in UFC history, must’ve given KSI the illusion that size will make a difference… It didn’t, of course.

Effortlessly, we watch Johnson transition to any position he wanted, and despite being given a full-mouth starting position (the strongest grounded position in grappling), KSI quickly had his back taken by the veteran.

Following a choke and tap, KSI wanted to go again… To no surprise, Johnson went on a rinse and repeat of forcing KSI to submit with different holds and chokes.

Once KSI realized that he’d messed with the wrong dude, he surprisingly accepted the challenge of receiving a leg kick. Despite Johnson claiming it was just ‘1 percent’ power, KSI instantly fell to the ground after receiving it!

So, ladies and gentlemen, even if you have boxing experience like KSI, it’s always valuable to note… Don’t play games with a trained MMA professional, no matter the size difference; it won’t end well for you.
