Rankings on the Line
Eryk Anders and Kyle Daukaus need to start producing consistent wins to rise up the UFC middleweight ranks.
Daukaus is the UFC betting favorite at -230 despite being knocked out by Roman Dolidze in just over a minute in June. However, Anders is a dangerous fighter and he could bounce back from consecutive losses.
Let’s check the latest UFC fight card, stats, and UFC predictions for Anders vs Daukaus. We’ve plenty of UFC fight night odds for you to consider.
Anders Struggling with Class?
Most of Anders’ best wins have come against much easier opposition, so the 35-year-old American could struggle against someone like Daukaus.
He hasn’t won since beating Darren Stewart last year, which isn’t an excellent form guide and that could be evident when he hits the Octagon on Saturday.
The +180 betting online underdog has his hands full against a grappling fighter in Daukaus.
“It’s not like I picked Kyle Daukaus out of other fighters or whatever,” Anders said. “But everybody knows – it’s no secret his strong suit is grappling. I think he’s got 11 wins, and nine of them have come from a D’Arce (choke) or armbar or some kind of submission. That’s his game: Find his way to the submission.”
Not getting into a grappling fight is easier said than done. Daukaus has knockout power as well, so Anders needs to get in and out of range and try to land his attacks with precision.

Daukaus Getting Desperate
Daukaus was considered one of the more promising middleweights, but after two losses in his last three fights, he needs to improve.
The Philadelphia native lost to Dolidze in June, which followed a submission win over Jamie Pickett. However, prior to that, he was beaten by Phil Hawkes and he needs to improve on those performances.
He has drawn criticism for being a one-dimensional fighter, but he’s the -230 favorite at the sportsbook for a reason and he is held in high regard.
“He’s on a two-fight losing streak and I’m on a one-fight losing streak, so I think that’s how they matched us up,” Daukaus said “He’s on a losing streak, I’m losing, as well, and that’s where we’re at in our careers, so we’re meeting each other.”

There is more promise with Daukaus, who wouldn’t have enjoyed being knocked out and he’s out for revenge.
