Prolific Style Has Made Andrade Fun and Reliable

Both fans and bettors love Andrade. She brings it in every fight and has something rare for women her size: finishing power. Andrade’s last four wins have come via knockout and she’s done it in two weight divisions: strawweight and flyweight.

But Andrade isn’t just a “mini Wanderlei Silva”. She proved in her bout against Claudia Gadelha, a former title challenger, that she can fight in long durations and that she can grapple. This makes her even more dangerous as she can put the fight where she wants it.

Andrade does the best against other strikers. Only champions like Joanna Jedrzekczyk and Weili Zhang have decisively beat Andrade on her feet. Everyone else either gets lit up or survives to lose a decision.

It’s also this aggression that makes Andrade reliable to bet online. Judges tend to favor a fighter who moves forward and stays active, even if they are not the most accurate. In Andrade’s case, she is both.

Lemos Has Plenty Left To Prove

Lemos gets her first UFC main event after six fights in the promotion. Debuting in 2017, Lemos is still considered a “prospect” by some as she is only into her 14th pro fight. But she is no spring chicken at 34-years-old. She will need to move fast and can’t afford to lose this opportunity for a title shot.

The Brazilian barely got by veteran Angela Hill in a fight where she did not look like a -270 online gambling favorite and almost got upset. Now, she’s an underdog against Andrade. The last time she was one, Leslie Smith finished her at 135 lbs.

Andrade is a different beast. While she is not as big as Smith, she is arguably just as powerful. Lemos will need to have sharpened her striking and flash her grappling if she is to turn back Andrade, who is hungry to get her title back.

Andrade vs Lemos Head-to-Head

Both Andrade and Lemos are high-volume strikers. Andrade lands more at 6.24 significant strikes per minute while Lemos is at 5.35. However, Lemos is a bit more accurate at 58 percent while Andrade is at 50 percent. On the flipside, Andrade has a 53 percent striking defense compared to 48 percent from Lemos.

Andrade vs Lemos Betting Lines

Andrade vs Lemos Prediction

There is some value in backing the underdog, Lemos, here. She is the bigger fighter and has a three-inch advantage both with her height and her reach. As far as power goes, Lemos has enough to make Andrade rethink her strategy if she recklessly attacks her.

However, Andrade is also incredibly durable and has cardio for days. Other than the fight against Zhang, Andrade has rarely been hurt in the octagon. This is why she can take Lemos’s best shots and work her over with her high-pace and volume, winning by a late T/KO. Andrade to win by a finish is +135 and could be the Best UFC bet here.

Pick: Andrade -190
