Aspen Ladd finally returns to the UFC after almost two years off the scene, and she headlines our UFC Vegas 40 parlay on Saturday.
UFC fight odds are also available for Jim Miller vs Erick Gonzalez, Manon Florot vs Mayra Bueno Silva and Julian Marquez vs Jordan Wright.
Ladd vs Dumont
There has been plenty of talk about Aspen Ladd over the last few weeks. She says people have been dodging her, but just about everyone else accuses Ladd of dodging the tough opponents.
However, she steps in for an injured Holly Holm to face Norma Dumont this week.
She has her work cut out for her against Dumont, who is 6-1 after scoring a win over Felicia Spencer. Her only loss came by first round knockout by Megan Anderson, but she has recovered with consecutive wins.
Just days after her scary weight miss, Aspen Ladd has agreed to move up a division and replace Holly Holm in next week’s #UFCVegas40 main event vs. Norma Dumont.

Ladd is 9-1 following a knockout win over Yana Kunitskaya, who already had five losses on her record. It was a solid return after getting decked by Germaine de Randamie in 16 seconds at UFC Fight Night 155.
Ladd also had troubles coming in at the correct weight, which many believe was the primary reason for the Ladd vs Chiason fight getting canned. Former champion Miesha Tate wasn’t mixing her words.
“It’s one thing to miss weight, it’s another thing to try and cheat the scale and use every excuse in the book to not weigh in properly,” Tate told MMA Fighting. “Everyone saw you cheat and still came in a [pound] over. I bet you were every bit of 139.”
Despite her troubles, we think she’s a talented fighter. She is one of the rising stars in the division, so we’re happy to take the -150. It’s the best price you’ll get for Ladd, so she headlines our UFC best bets.
Pick: Aspen Ladd -150
Miller vs Gonzalez
Jim Miller is a legend of the game, so we’re expecting him to teach newcomer Erick Gonzalez a thing or two.
Gonzalez is by no means a rookie; he’s 14-5-0, but yet to fight in the UFC. It’s a different arena, and fighting someone like Miller is a tough introduction.
Miller might be a 38-year-old, but the 32-16-0 fighter still looks as strong as ever. He is trying to end a two-fight losing streak, but the losses came to Vinc Pichel and Joe Solecki via decision.
There wasn’t much between them, so the New Jersey native gets a chance to showcase his top-level MMA skills.
The sportsbook has Miller at -190 to win, which he should have little problem with. Gonzalez has been fighting in LXF and Combate, and those organizations don’t hold a mark on the UFC.
Pick: Jim Miller -190
Fiorot vs Silva
Manon Fiorot is a dominant -220 favorite to beat submission threat Mayra Bueno Silva.
Fiorot is 7-1 after scoring a second round knockout win over Tabatha Ricci. It followed another knockout win over Victoria Leonardo, so she has plenty of power in her hands.
The 31-year-old hasn’t lost since signing with the UFC, and she could contend for the flyweight title soon.
Silva had a draw in her most recent fight with Montana De La Rosa, which followed a submission win over Mara Romero Borella.
Her only loss came in her UFC debut against Maryna Moroz last year, but she has rebounded well with consecutive victories. She is capable of pulling off an upset at +175, but we’re taking the favorite to score a knockout win.
Pick: Manon Fiorot -220
Marquez vs Wright
It’s a classic battle of wrestler vs striker as Julian Marquez looks for another submission victory against the hard-hitting Jordan Wright.
Marquez defeated Maki Pitolo and Sam Alvey via submission earlier this year, so he’s a fit fighter who could be troublesome for Wright.
At 12-1, Wright is a promising fighter. He scored a first round knockout win over Jamie Pickett at UFC 262, which showcased his power. It also showcased his ability to bounce back from getting knocked out, which was the case against Joaquin Buckley last year.
OH MY GOODNESS 😳

The Beverly Hills Ninja is an explosive fighter, but if Marquez gets the fight to the ground, it’s all over. Despite the risk of that happening, we’re prepared to take Wright at the value odds of +180.
If he can avoid getting taken down, he can land the big blow.
