Bellator 273 is packed with huge fights on Saturday night, including the heavyweight championship bout between Ryan Bader and Valentin Moldavsky.
Former UFC champion Benson Henderson fights Islam Mamedov in the co-main event, which is included in our Bellator 273 parlay.
MMA odds are available for every fight on the card and we picked four of the best value fights to add to your selections.
Ben Parrish vs Sullivan Cauley
There is plenty of hype surrounding Sullivan Cauley, who trains alongside heavyweight champion Bader.
He’s only 2-0 since turning professional, but his wins have been mighty impressive. The 25-year-old finished his first fight against Jason Markland in just 28 seconds before winning his second fight in the first round.
Scoring consecutive knockout victories is a good way to start your Bellator career, and although inexperienced, Cauley is facing a fighter with a 5-1 record.
Parrish started his career with three straight wins before losing to Logan Woods due to a leg injury. He bounced back to score a knockout win over Christian Edwards in his Bellator debut, but he doesn’t look as impressive as Cauley.
The sportsbook has Cauley at -210 and he should get the Bellator 273 parlay off to a winning start.
Pick: Sullivan Cauley -210
Saad Awad vs Chris Gonzalez
Despite Chris Gonzalez being ranked lower than Saad Awad, most of the early money is on the American.
The 30-year-old suffered his first career loss at Bellator 263, so he needs to rebound. Having six months is enough time to recover for the -280 favorite, who faces an opponent with 13 losses on his record.
“I’ve continually asked for better competition and high-level fights, because I see myself as a high-level competitor as well,” Gonzalez told Cagesidepress. “I train with some of the best guys in the world at Team Alpha Male, and I’m ready. Mentally, physically, all-around, I’m ready, and I’ve risen to the occasion thus far.”
Awad is 24-13 and he comes off a knockout win over Nate Andrews. It broke a string of four consecutive losses for the 38-year-old, who faced Benson Henderson in 2018.
He’s a quality fighter on his day, but we can’t see him keeping up with the explosive power of Gonzalez. He should be the quicker and more powerful fighter, so take the betting online price of -280 and include it in parlays.
Pick: Chris Gonzalez -280
Darrion Caldwell vs Enrique Barzola
MMA betting odds have Enrique Barzola as the -125 favorite and the money looks spot on.
The 16-5-2 fighter has been competing in the UFC, which is excellent form at Bellator level. He recorded some quality wins in the UFC, including a decision win over Bobby Moffett in 2019.
His most recent fight was a draw against Rani Yahya, but he hasn’t fought in almost two years. It’s a long time out of the cage, but he has the class edge over Caldwell.
Caldwell comes off consecutive losses to AJ McKee Jr. and Leandro Higo, so his back is against the wall and we don’t think the -105 underdog is paying value odds.
Include Barzola in your Bellator 273 parlays.
Pick: Enrique Barzola -125
Benson Henderson vs Islam Mamedov
We have loved Henderson throughout his career, but he might have met his match in Mamedov.
The Russian is the firm -450 favorite to beat the MMA legend and at 20-1-1, we can’t overlook his chances.
He is riding a 19-fight win streak, and although most of those came in much easier organizations, he has been showing off his skills.
Henderson can’t be underrated because of his potential UFC Hall of Fame career, but he’s past his best. He lost five consecutive fights before beating Ben Saunders in a grappling contest, so he’s not in good form.
Take Mamedov to score a comfortable win in the co-main event.
