ONE FC: Unbreakable III Preview

MMA Betting

ONE Championship returns with the trilogy to the Unbreakable series and BetUS online sportsbook is carrying all of these MMA odds.

The spotlight is on ONE’s first two-sport champion, Stamp Fairtex as she takes on grappler Alyona Rassohyna. The online sports betting odds are a bit biased for some fights here, which provides plenty of betting opportunities if you like underdogs.

Note: ONE’s weight divisions are one weight down so “atomweight” is “strawweight” by most MMA categories and so on

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 5, 7:30 AM
  • Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore
  • Watch on: B/R Livestream

Main Event: Stamp Fairtex vs Alyona Rassohyna (Atomweight)

ONE’s star Muay Thai fighter gets a tough test against Rassohyna (12-4-0), who is an all-around MMA fighter. Matchmakers want Fairtex (5-0-0) to win but this may be a bad matchup for her. Rassohyna has the grappling to beat Fairtex if she keeps the fight there.

Rassohyna doesn’t need much to beat Fairtex on the mat. She can be aggressive and look for submissions. Watch out for her armbar attempts. Fairtex will need to get back up quickly, but avoid leaving one of her limbs or her neck for Rassohyna to attack.

If this goes to clinch, Fairtex could use her elbows and knees to bludgeon Rassohyna or the Ukrainian will take her to the mat or at least tangle her up. The odds favor Fairtex here simply because she has the bigger name, but Rassohyna will derail the inexperienced Fairtex.

Odds For This Fight

Find and bet this critical women’s MMA tilt at the BetUS sportsbook. The odds list as:

  • Rassohyna +160
  • Fairtex -200

* odds are subject to change

Pick: Alyona Rassohyna to win (+160)

Co-Main Event: Shoko Sato vs Fabricio de Andrade (Bantamweight)

This is another fight where ONE matchmakers are pairing a potential prospect with an MMA vet who may be “too much too soon” for him. De Andrade (4-2-0) could go out there and starch Sato (31-13-2) within the first round. But Sato has over 46 fights and has eight times the wins of the Brazilian.

Sato is versed in both grappling and striking and as long as he avoids that big bomb from de Andrade, he should beat him. It would likely be through the ground where he’s more experienced and has most of his finishes by.

Odds For This Fight

Find the most current MMA betting odds from the “M.M.A.” section of the online sportsbook. The odds for this fight sit at:

  • Fabricio de Andrade -215
  • Shoko Sato +170

* odds are subject to change

Pick: Shoko Sato to win +170

Feature Fight: Ryuto Sawada vs Robin Catalan (Strawweight)

The more experienced Sawada (13-5-1) has fought across plenty of organizations and is mainly a grappler. Catalan (9-6-0) has alternated wins and losses under ONE but has the punching power to level Sawada.

Like the Fairtex-Rassohyna bout, I side with the grappler here. Sawada is too much of a veteran to play with fire here and will get Catalan down and submit him. But for as long as the fight stands, we might see some fireworks.

Odds For This Fight

This fight is available along with the other Unbreakable III odds from the sportsbook. Find the odds at:

  • Catalan +250
  • Sawada -350

* odds are subject to change

Pick: Sawada to win -350
