Porter to Deliver at UFC Fight Night

UFC Apex Hosts the Reshuffled Card

Bettors get three quality fights to enjoy before Saturday’s main and co-main events at UFC Fight Night. Headlining is Parker Porter vs Alan Baudot in the heavyweight division, as UFC betting odds have value throughout the Las Vegas card.

Most of the early support has come for Parker Porter at -260.

The 12-6 heavyweight showed his endurance going three rounds with Chase Sherman in a quality victory.

It was his first UFC fight and he came through in style, so these odds reflect his trending.

Facing Alan Baudot should not present too many worries. The 8-2 fighter has looked good in weaker organizations, but he was ‘found out’ in his UFC debut against Rodrigo Ferreira.

The second-round knockout should be tough to come back from, which is why the sportsbook has him at +200.

We wouldn’t look past Porter staying undefeated in the UFC, climbing the ranks with an important win.

Pick: Parker Porter (-260)

Jim Miller vs Nikolas Motta

Nikolas Motta has emerged favored to beat MMA legend Jim Miller, but he could be a risky bet in his UFC debut.

The 29-year-old was meant to fight Cameron VanCamp last September, but it was canceled, so it’s been a long wait for the lightweight prospect.

Facing Jim Miller first in the UFC is a tough gig. Miller isn’t the same fighter he once was, but the 33-16 legend doesn’t go down easily.

Miller turned back time when knocking out Erick Gonzalez in October, so anything close to that performance could see the underdog score his 34th win.

“I never thought about getting to 50 fights. I remember when I was coming up and had a handful of fights and there are these guys that were beyond 50 and it was crazy — the Jeremy Horns and guys like that. It was never part of the plan,” Miller told UFC.com

“I’m a fighter, so my job is to fight.”

Betting online markets have Miller at +150, which is a fantastic price. He’s a proven professional, and we haven’t seen that much from Motto to warrant including him at a short quote.

Pick: Jim Miller (+150)

Joaquin Buckley vs Abdul Razak Alhassan

A close market is framed for Joaquin Buckley vs Abdul Razak Alhassan in what should be an excellent fight.

Buckley has the sizable reach advantage, which is why he’s the -150 favorite. He had a third-round knockout win over Antonio Arroyo in September, earning him a main event shot against Alhassan.

It was a good bounce-back effort after being knocked out in his UFC debut, but the guy who knocked him out was subsequently knocked out by Alhassan.

The Ghanan athlete won in just 17 seconds against Alessio Di Chirico It was a much better performance than the previous three years, where he didn’t win a fight.

It could give him the confidence he needs to progress further in the middleweight division, but the lack of reach could be telling against Buckley.

Buckley at -150 is a fair price for a fighter of his ability.

Pick: Joaquin Buckley (-150)
