Stacking Chalk on Stacked Weekend

Ride the Favorites in Ring, Octagon on Packed Saturday

Fight fans, this Saturday is one of the most stacked days as far as events are concerned. This is mostly true in boxing with several high-profile bouts all taking place within the span of six hours. The best part is, plenty of bouts have solid online sports betting lines. While betting them straight still has value, parlaying them could yield an even heavier profit.

Best Boxing & UFC Matches to Parlay

Henry (-400) vs Assuncao (+300)

  • Round Totals: Over 2½ (-165), Under 2½ (+135)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Bantamweight, 135 lbs. (3 Round)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 6:15 p.m. ET

Moving to the UFC, the Fight Night card has some “layups” as far as the matchups are concerned. The most obvious one is Victor Henry (22-5-0) thoroughly beating Raphael Assuncao (27-9-0). Henry is a machine and has already outworked a rising contender in Raoni Barcelos. Assuncao, on the other hand, is a fading veteran that has lost four straight fights with his last two via knockout.

    • Pick: Victor Henry -400

Grasso (-230) vs Araujo (+180)

  • Round Totals: Over 4½ (-225), Under 4½ (+180)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Women’s Flyweight, 125 lbs. (5 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 8:50 p.m. ET
  • Stream: UFC Fight Pass

The UFC’s main event pits Alexa Grasso (14-3-0) against Viviane Araujo (11-3-0). While the line is quite wide on what should be an entertaining scrap, Grasso has several advantages that will secure her the win. The Mexican has better endurance and crisper boxing than Araujo. The underdog has also been outboxed several times, hence why the UFC odds have her as the likelier loser.

    • Pick: Alexa Grasso -230

Mayer (-300) vs Baumgardner (+225)

  • Round Totals: Over 8½ (-650), Under 8½ (+425)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Junior Lightweight, 130 lbs. (10 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 4 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Box Live

Mikaela Mayer (17-0-0, 5 KOs) could steal the show as she meets Alycia Baumgardner (12-1-0, 7 KOs) for the Shields-Marshall co-main event. These elite 130-pounders have been jawing at each other for months, which will translate to a fast-paced technical brawl in the ring. That should favor Mayer, who will withstand Baumgardner’s early onslaught to beat her cleanly on the scorecards as she did against a previous foe.

Shields (-125) vs Marshall (-105)

  • Round Totals: Over 8½ (-400), Under 8½ (+300)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Middleweight, 160 lbs. (10 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 5 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Box Live

After being postponed due to Queen Elizabeth II’s death, Claressa Shields (12-0-0, 2 KOs) and Savannah Marshall (12-0-0, 10 KOs) settle their rivalry in this card’s main event. While this will take place on Marshall’s home turf, Shields should be able to outdo her as the faster of the two boxers. There could be controversy similar to their amateur bout. So instead of siding with either, it’s easier to bet online on this one going the distance.

    • Pick: Over 8½ (-400)

Haney (-1000) vs Kambosos (+600)

  • Round Totals: Over 10½ (-350), Under 10½ (+250)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Lightweight, 135 lbs. (12 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 9 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Box Live

Capping off the evening is the rematch between Devin Haney (28-0-0, 15 KOs) and George Kambosos (20-1-0, 10 KOs). While Kambosos had his moments in the first bout, it was clear that he had nothing for Haney. The American should once again match Kambosos and pull away the longer the fight goes.

But at his current line, Haney has little to no value. Instead, bet on this one to go over 10½ rounds. More than likely, Haney will take Kambosos to a decision.

    • Pick: Over 10½ (-350)
    • Parlay: Mikaela Mayer, Shields-Marshall Over, Alexa Grasso, Victor Henry, and Haney-Kambosos Over (+284)
