UFC 267 Props: Take Shot on These 4 Hot Bets

Outside of betting online for UFC 267’s winners or round totals, props are an alternative option – a potentially more lucrative option. Let’s examine four props for the main card that range from more valuable side bets to a blockbuster shot at an upset.

UFC 267 Best Props

Mild: Blachowicz Finishes Teixeira

Those looking to bet on Jan Blachowicz can find a less expensive proposition for him: a win inside the distance. Blachowicz (28-8-0) is a hefty -310 to win outright. While this still has some value, taking him to finish Glover Teixeira can be had at a pick’em price.

Notorious for his “Polish Power”, Blachowicz has finished four of his last six wins and has five performance bonuses in the UFC. He has one of the best finishing instincts in that he knows when to commit for the kill shot. Teixeira (32-7-0) is a durable fighter but has been rocked or dropped in his last two fights. He won’t be around to hear the final bell.

Pick: J Blachowicz To Win By KO, TKO, DQ, or Submission -110

Spicy: Oezdemir Edges Ankalaev

This is another fight where the straight-up odds on Magomed Ankalaev is pretty steep at -300, but can be “propped” to a decent amount. A bet on Ankalaev (15-1-0) to beat Volkan Oezdemir by decision is at +205. Alternatively, picking this fight to go to a decision is +140 from the sportsbook. These are both great options.

But we’re flipping this on its head and going with the underdog, Oezdemir (17-5-0) to win by decision at a ludicrous price of +700. Sure, Oezdemir is already a sizable dog at +220 but it’s unlikely he KO’s Ankalaev. In fact, Oezdemir has found himself in three split decisions as an underdog, winning two. Ankalaev is too technical of a striker and Oezdemir’s added hesitancy could mean a fight with low output from each side. It could be a toss-up and 7-1 on this possibility is too good to pass up.

Pick: V Oezdemir To Win By Decision +800

Extra Spicy: Makhachev Submits Hooker Late

Now we’re going to start gambling here. Islam Makhachev and Dan Hooker’s UFC odds have been juiced so much it will be tough to squeeze any value here outside of the totals going over at -160 but even this is dicy. Makhachev (20-1-0) should be able to run through Hooker (21-10-0) barring a flash KO like his loss against Adriano Martins.

If you’re a Hooker hipster, the Hooker by-finish prop at +750 is mighty enticing. Heck, Hooker to win in round 1 at +1400 looks so tempting that we even contemplated making it our “Nuclear” prop pick. Alas, we will side with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s successor to get this one done. Makhachev to finish an exhausted Hooker in round 3 at 10-1 is our pick.

Pick: I Makhachev To Win In Round 3 +1000

Nuclear: Li Shocks Chimaev

As our “upset special”, we are siding with Li Jingliang to give Khamzat Chimaev a rude welcome back to the octagon. Li (18-6-0) at +400 to win is already massive. But for him to win in round 1 at 12-1 is worth a side bet since this will likely be the only way he wins.

Li has already cashed at +1275 to finish Santiago Ponzinibbio in round 1 early in the year. So can lightning strike twice? There are already some similarities here: both Ponzinibbio and Chimaev (9-0-0) are coming off long layoffs and dealt with life-threatening illnesses.

In Chimaev’s case, he contracted a severe case of the coronavirus. If he is anything less than 100% against a heavy-handed slugger like Li, he will meet the same fate as Ponzinibbio. Hence, this could be the best UFC bet.

Pick: L Jingliang To Win In Round 1 +1000
