UFC 280 Props: Piling Props on Super Stacked Card
Going Six Props Deep in the UFC’s Best Event in 2022
Betting Props on UFC 280’s Best Fights
It’s not hyperbole: UFC 280 will be the promotion’s biggest event of 2022. From top to bottom, this card has can’t-miss fights: two championship fights, 12 ranked fighters, and the hottest prospects are all lined up to deliver a thrilling card. The UFC betting odds are chock-full of lucrative props.
Mokaev Annihilates Gordon
Muhammed Mokaev (7-0-0) is 2-0 in the UFC but is already one of the most-avoided fighters. That’s for good reason as he’s been a wrecking ball and enters UFC 280 as the largest favorite. There’s little-to-no value in his online gambling line. But a bet on him to make quick work of Malcolm Gordon (14-5-0), who has a suspect chin, is a solid play.

- Pick: M Mokaev In Round 1 +140
Borralho Makes Statement Against Fellow Prospect
In this prototypical “striker versus grappler” match, the UFC odds favor the latter for a reason: Caio Borralho (12-1-0) is a tank and will smother Makhmud Muradov (25-7-0) quickly. Gerald Meerschaert exposed the dangerous striker and Borralho is more explosive than “GM3”. A bet on Borralho to finish is at +185. But for a bigger payout, bet him to do it in the first by submission.
- Pick: C Borralho By Submission and Round 1 +800
Fiorot Beats Up Chookagian
Beating Katlyn Chookagian (18-4-0) is one thing. But finishing her? It’s something only champions have done. Manon Fiorot (9-1-0) has the makings of a future champion. The Frenchwoman hits hard and can grapple. Peep her striking stats: 6.6 significant strikes landed per minute while absorbing just 2.52 in return at a 70% defensive efficiency. Fiorot will outstrike Chookagian and hurt her. At +450, it’s worth a bet online.
- Pick: M Fiorot By KO, TKO, DQ or Submission +450
Gamrot Starches Dariush For A Title Shot
Beneil Dariush (21-4-1) and Mateusz Gamrot (21-1-0) are fighting for potentially the next title shot at 155 pounds. So you can expect the two to leave it all in the octagon in a three-round fight. While Dariush is just as capable as Gamrot, technically, the Polish fighter hits a bit harder and has better wrestling. That’s Kryptonite for Dariush whose last two losses came via KO.
- Pick: M Gamrot By KO, TKO, DQ or Submission +250
Yan Wins War Against O’Malley
In the featured bout, bantamweights Petr Yan (16-3-0) and Sean O’Malley (15-1-0) are ready to steal the show. These strikers combine to land 13.2 significant strikes per minute at better than a 53% accuracy. While O’Malley has value as an underdog due to his knack for starting fast, Yan will outlast him.

The former champion may start slow, but once he gets going, he’s like a buzzsaw. O’Malley either beats Yan quickly or the Russian breaks him down slowly and finishes him late in the fight. At 9-1, this could be the best UFC bet for this fight.
- Pick: P Yan in Round 3 +900
Oliveira Achieves New Status Against Makhachev
Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira (33-8-0, 1 NC) may just achieve 155-pound “GOAT” status when he beats Islam Makhachev (22-1-0). The betting lines favor the latter thanks to his seemingly indomitable wrestling. Makhachev has taken everyone he’s fought down or finished them. He also hits hard.
But Oliveira could be Makhachev’s weakness. He won’t fear Makhachev’s takedown as he is deadly on the mat. Oliveira owns the most submission wins in UFC history. He also has knockout power and has more experience fighting in big main events. The spotlight won’t faze him. We can’t say the same for Makhachev who has enormous pressure on his shoulders.
Oliveira will hurt Makhachev and finish him quickly in the fight – either in round 1 or round 2.
- Pick: C Oliveira By KO, TKO, DQ or Submission +160
- Pick: C Oliveira to win by KO/TKO in Rounds 1 or 2 +800
