Top 2 UFC Predictions to Parlay This Saturday

1.Ariane Lipski vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius: Canadian Cooking

Canada isn’t exactly known for its culinary delights unless you’re a fan of poutine, but they’re no strangers to home cooking when it comes to UFC judges. When Canadian prospect Jasmine Jasudavicius enters the cage on Saturday, Ariane Lipski must seriously beat the hometown favorite or finish this fight inside the distance to overcome the screaming locals who’ll sway the judges to make the “right” decision.

You’d think that being named “The Queen of Violence,” Lipski would have some menacing finish streak. Nope… She’s more like the “Pitter-Patter Queen,” having gone the distance in 4 of her 6 UFC wins to date. Yes, she’s been a viable underdog of late, cashing three straight times with plus-money next to her name in 2023. However, she suffered a unanimous decision loss against Karine Silva earlier this year, which is relevant to Jasduvicius’s style.

Wrestling and ground control! Outside of throwing up some armbar attempts, Lipski has looked like a fish out of water on the ground. It just so happens that, much like poutine, Jasduvicius will stick to you if the correct wrestling defense isn’t in place, and she’s also a wild child on the feet, which is always a positive when faced with a legitimate kickboxer.

Bet This Pick: Jasudavicius Moneyline [-220]

Betting on Jas Plus Home Cooking

I wouldn’t be surprised if the betting line were much closer outside Canada. We have a striker in Lipski going against a wrestler in Jasudavicius, and both ladies present viable paths to victory. That said, Lipski’s ground gameworries me the most, and when you factor in the location, the chips are stacked against the Brazilian visitor.

The odds at BetUS Sportsbook are slightly juiced, considering the fight could give Jasduvicius trouble on the feet. Despite this, we don’t just have an excellent wrestler facing an opponent with a worrisome ground game; we also have the Canadian home cooking as a potential plan B.

  • Lipski holds a 6-6 UFC record
  • Jasudavicius has won 5 of her 7 UFC bouts
  • Jasudavicius has won 4 of her previous 5 UFC fights

2. Youssef Zalal vs Jack Shore: Peep the Evolution

A 23-year-old Youssef Zalal made his UFC debut in 2020, and after early success, he went on to lose three consecutive fights against Ilia Topuria, Seung Woo Choi, andSean Woodson. Those defeats hold no shame, but what’s most impressive is how the boy has evidently become a man!

The UFC kicked Zalal’s ass to the curb when his fourth octagon appearance resulted in a draw, and he said, hold my beer. Over the next two years, the Moroccan fighter fought back into the UFC with five consecutive wins in boxing, kickboxing, and MMA, including four stoppages. After returning to the big stage twice in 2024, he’s collected back-to-back submission victories!

Zalal’s evolution has been noted. Now, aged 28, his kickboxing base has been beautifully supplemented with top-tier grappling, thus making him a dangerous threat in all facets of martial arts.

Bet This Pick: Zalal Moneyline [-305]

Bet on “The Moroccan Devil”

Watching Zalal become the first person to submit Billy Quarantillo, fight Jarno Errens, and look like a -2000 favoritemakes this weekend’s selection easy. Especially when his opponent, Jack Shore, lost one of his best assets, physicality, after moving up a weight class. No, we aren’t considering the Amirkhani stoppage win, where he was en route to losing a decision versus an opponent who’s since been cut from the promotion.

Shore is serviceable in all areas of MMA, but I struggle to give him a path to victory in every fight he’s placed in because he isn’t elite anywhere. With Zalal standing across the cage from him this weekend, I envision him getting pieced up by the “Moroccan Devil,” however the favorite sees fit!

It would seem that the MMA odds have taken a similar stance, with Zalal being the second-biggest favorite at UFC Edmonton. Fear not; the -305 moneyline slips nicely into our parlay selections,

Parlay odds: -108.

  • Zalal has won two fights inside the distance since returning to the UFC
  • Zalal has won 7 consecutive fights across MMA, boxing, and kickboxing (6 stoppages)
  • Shore has lost 2 of his previous 3 UFC bouts inside the distance

UFC Edmonton 2-Leg Parlay Picks

  • Jasudavicius Moneyline (-215)
  • Zalal Moneyline (-305)
