Bettors get a terrific betting card at UFC Fight Night 204 and we have narrowed the card down to four of the best fights.
Nikita Krylov vs Paul Craig
Most of the early money has come for Nikita Krylov, but we think the best value is with Paul Craig.
He is a UK-based fighter who scored a first-round knockout win over Jamahal Hill, which is a terrific victory.
It was his fourth consecutive win after knocking out Mauricio Rua and submitting Gadzhimurad Antigulov. That shows his versatility, and although Krylov is talented, he’s coming off a loss.
Krylov is the firm -200 favorite, but we don’t see much value with those odds. We’d prefer to take Craig at +160 to get the UFC parlay started.
Pick: Paul Craig +160
Mike Grundy vs Makwan Amirkhani
Mike Grundy is an explosive fighter, and despite being 35 years old, he still has plenty of power.
The Wigan-based fighter didn’t do much against Lando Vannata at UFC 262, but he showed his best ability when knocking out Nad Narimani in 2019.
Makwan Amirkhani is 16-7 and a worthy opponent for the 12-3 Grundy, but he could struggle to land the telling blows.
Grundy is good at dodging the big punches and betting online markets expect him to secure the victory.
He’s -190 to win and those odds are worth including in the parlay.
Pick: Mike Grundy -190
Arnold Allen vs Dan Hooker
There was some serious money for Arnold Allen, who opened at -120 and went to -130 before dropping back to -120.
Allen is 17-1, so the record speaks for itself, but Dan Hooker is bred tough and we think he’ll get the better of Allen.
Hooker has more experience than his counterpart and he also has more power than the average featherweight.
He has drifted to -110, which is a fantastic price, and his weight cut has switched him on.
“The UFC doesn’t like you bouncing around weight divisions, so I plan on staying down here for the foreseeable future,” Hooker told UFC.com. “I’m using [the cut] as a weapon. I have to be more dialed in and switched on.
“Everything I eat needs to be considered. I’m excited – I feel like it’s added to me. I’ve been focused for a complete nine weeks and it’s a level of focus I didn’t have at lightweight.”
Pick: Dan Hooker -110
Alexander Volkov vs Tom Aspinall
Tom Aspinall could be the next big thing in the heavyweight division and the 11-2 fighter should give Alexander Volkov a run for his money.
Aspinall has been knocking out most that come in his way, which should put fear into the eyes of Volkov.
Fighting in front of his home fans could be enough to get Aspinall over the line, so the -125 odds are worth snapping up.
Some bettors could be enticed by the odds for Volkov, who has more experience, but Aspinall has something about him.
