Dern vs Yan

Mackenzie Dern is 12-2 following a win over Tecia Torres and that holds her in good stead against Xiaonan Yan.

The 29-year-old Arizonian won all her fights in 2020 before being beaten by the talented Marina Rodriguez last year. However, she rebounded well and her chances of fighting for the strawweight title are on the line.

Yan is a dangerous fighter, but she was also beaten by Rodriguez. It followed a knockout loss against Carla Esparza, so Yan is looking to end a two-fight losing streak and we’re not sure if she will.

Most of the betting online money has come for Dern at -235 and the star attraction is a good parlay inclusion.

  • Pick: Mackenzie Dern -235

Barcelos vs Jones

Raoni Barcelos is the -240 favorite to beat Trevin Jones and we don’t disagree with the odds.

The Brazilian might be the much older fighter, but he’s 16-3 and hungry for a win after losing to Victor Henry at UFC 270.

He also lost to Timur Valiev, so he hasn’t won since 2020 and that will be playing on his mind.

Jones has the reach advantage but we weren’t impressed with his showing against Javid Basharat. It was a tough fight but he was unable to land a takedown from three attempts.

Barcelos has plenty of class and UFC betting markets have the odds accurate.

  • Pick: Raoni Barcelos -240

Latifi vs Oleinik

We’re not sure how Aleksei Oleinik continues to fight at the age of 45, but credit goes to the MMA legend.

He’s 60-16-1 and he comes up against 39-year-old Ilir Latifi, who defeated Tanner Boser in 2020.

Ilir Latifi is a dangerous fighter and he even went the full three rounds against Derrick Lewis, so he can take a punch and also throw them.

With 84 years combined, this is a fight for the UFC purest. It won’t be the most exciting fight on the card, but we’re confident Latifi can put Oleinik one step closer to retirement.

  • Pick: Ilir Latifi -190

Jotko vs Allen

In one of the closer-framed betting markets on Fight Night, Krzysztof Jotko is the -120 favorite to win.

Jotko is 24-5 following a hard-fought win over Gerald Meerschaert and that should be a good form guide against Brendan Allen.

The Polish fighter’s most recent loss came against Sean Strickland, so he has been fighting tough opponents.

Allen is 19-5 after beating Jacob Malkoun, who was only 6-2. It’s not the greatest form for such a tough field and we think his UFC odds of -110 is a touch too short for our liking.

I need to go out there and be just me,Allen told UFC.com ahead of his bout at UFC Fight Night: Dern vs Yan. “I am good enough, more than good enough, and so I just need to be me. I know that I can be the best in the world, and I am the best in the world when I’m on. When I’m on, I’m on, and there’s no man that can beat me.

Despite Allen’s confidence, include Jotko in your UFC parlay.

  • Pick: Krzysztof Jotko -120
