UFC Fight Night: Three Undercard Fights To Bet, Saturday

Heavyweights Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-2-0) and Augusto Sakai (15-2-1) headline UFC Fight Night, which features a pair of other heavyweight fights plus some heavy-handed strikers looking to make a statement.

The UFC betting lines are all out for all the fights as we look at three undercard fights that could steal the show.

Undercard Fights to Bet

Marcin Tybura Takes Walt Harris Dancing

Odds: Walt Harris +140, Marcin Tybura -170
Weight Class (Rounds): Heavyweight (265 lbs ) (3 Rounds)

Marcin Tybura (21-6-0) had an underrated 2020 where he went 4-0 and won three by decision. That is a tough feat to pull off in the big boy division where one punch can change everything. Looking to capitalize on that one punch is Walt “Big Ticket” Harris (13-9-0, 1 NC), who has some serious power.

This fight will likely end in one of two ways: Tybura outstrikes Harris en route to a decision or Harris catches him early and puts him away. More than likely, the former will happen as Tybura is the more technical fighter and has fought higher level competition.

But at +140, it’s worth a small sports bet that the bigger, longer and faster Harris can put it on Tybura early and finish him. Tybura has been caught in the past and his last three losses have come via KO. Additionally, take Harris to win by TKO/KO at +200.

Baeza Guns for Ponzinibbio’s Spot

Odds: Santiago Ponzinibbio -115, Miguel Baeza -115

Prospect turned contender Miguel Baeza (10-0-0) looks to add his biggest scalp yet as he takes on Santiago Ponzinibbio (28-4-0), who is hunting for a rebound following his KO loss against Li Jingliang earlier this year.

Ponzinibbio may not be the same fighter he once was following a two-year layoff and a terrifying health scare that potentially could have ended his career. The Argentine lost muscle mass and had to rebuild himself back into fighting shape. If he’s a shell of who he was, Baeza will eat him alive.

Aptly named “Caramel Thunder,” Baeza is a polished striker who has systematically dispatched of his opponents. He’s fast, hits hard and, most importantly, is hungry. A resurgent Ponzinibbio will be his toughest test. A washed Ponzinibbio will only add to his accolades. Either way, he should win this.

Boser, Latifi Go all the Way

Odds: Ilir Latifi +160, Tanner Boser -200
Weight Class (Rounds): Heavyweight (265) (3 Rounds)

Not to be outshined, we have two heavyweights looking to remain relevant as both Tanner Boser (19-7-1) and Ilir Latifi (15-8-0, 1 NC) are attempting to get a win coming off losses. The younger and faster Boser should be able to get one-up over the former light heavyweight here.

Boser represents a new generation of heavyweights who can move like lighter fighters. He also throws at a high volume, landing 4.54 significant strikes per minute (SLpM) while only absorbing 2.70 in return. Latifi is undersized for the division but he’s thick, can wrestle and may be able to neutralize Boser if he pressed against him.

I don’t see that happening as Boser will be too fast and will attack Latifi from range. Boser should be able to whittle down Latifi and finish him late or win a clear-cut decision.
