The UFC knows it has to put on a show for its return to San Antonio. So it’s packed this Saturday’s ESPN card not only with brawlers but those clad with fists of stone and chins of iron. What this means is we either see some early knockouts or some wars that are going to go to a bloody decision. The UFC lines have plenty of props to bet along these themes.
Torres Puts the Hands on Ogden
Manuel Torres (13-2-0) is ready to extend his first-round finishing streak to four as he takes on Trey Ogden (16-5-0). He’ll have a speed and striking edge as he’ll blitz Ogden. While the “Samurai Ghost” is tough and hard to finish, Torres will stun him and submit him on the ground.
- Pick: M Torres In Round 1 +250
Chidi Bang Bangs Duraev
Like Torres, Chidi Njokuani (22-8-0) is a fighter that prefers to get his job done quickly. Most of his wins have come by first or second-round TKO. He failed to finish Gregory Rodrigues, who was likely on some “sauce,” and Albert Duraev (15-4-0) is not of that ilk. Njokuani should have no issues hitting Duraev. While a first-round KO is possible, the Russian is tough as nails and can survive to a decision.
- Pick: C Njokuani By Decision or Technical Decision +450
“Starboy” Launches Past Perez
Manel Kape (18-6-0) is a fast-rising flyweight contender and he meets Alex Perez (24-7-0), who is on the downswing. The Mexican-American has not won since 2020 and all his victories came against fighters no longer in the UFC 43. He’s also been injured a lot so bet online on “Starboy”, who is fast and explosive, to score a quick KO against the rusty Perez.
- Pick: M Kape By KO/TKO/DQ and Round 1 +550
Lee and Barber Fight To A… Draw?
Betting online on fights to go to a draw is a sketchy thing. But this one actually has the potential to end that way. Andrea Lee (13-6-0) could win the first two rounds of this contest due to being the all-around better fighter. But she tends to fade while Maycee Barber (11-2-0) can put it on her in the final round. Judges are more liberal giving 10-8 rounds now so there is a chance…
- Pick: Fight Outcome – Draw (+6600)
Nate the Train Keeps Chugging Along
Nate Landwehr (16-4-0) is the people’s champion and for good reason: the man never quits and keeps fighting. He’s finally given a solid matchup against Austin Lingo (9-1-0), who is just as durable as him. The two have accumulated a lot of damage over their careers. But bank on them to make UFC news as Landwehr edges Lingo in a rousing decision.
- Pick: N Landwehr By Decision or Technical Decision +185
Sandhagen and Vera Go All The Way
Finally, a main event will satisfy even the most bloodthirsty UFC fans. Cory Sandhagen (15-4-0) and Marlon Vera (22-7-1) are two of the promotion’s most active fighters. These guys will throw and absorb over 10 significant strikes per minute. And the best part is, despite a combined 12 knockouts, they are extremely durable.
Regardless of who the UFC pick is, a -140 line on this go-to decision is a solid prop. Vera or Sandhagen could eat a head kick or a spinning back fist and continue moving forward. Keep your eyes on the TV as these guys will light up the octagon and the sportsbook.
- Pick: Fight To Go The Distance – Yes (-140)
