Nunes Headlines Parlay

Saturday’s UFC fight card is headlined by Amanda Nunes vs Irene Aldana, which offers bettors with value odds at the sportsbook.

The UFC 289 headliner is one of three fights included in our parlay, including Charles Oliveira vs Beneil Dariush, and Mike Malott vs Adam Fugitt.

Sport betting markets have juicy odds available, so bettors can build their parlays to big returns.

Respect the Champion

UFC betting odds have Nunes at -350 to beat Aldana, which we think is good shopping for the greatest women’s fighter in history.

The Brazilian defeated Julianna Pena in 2022 to get back the title she lost to Pena in 2021. Despite the first loss, she’s still a quality champion, and she has beaten fighters like Aldana in the past.

Aldana has six losses on her record, and she defeated only Macy Chaisson in her most recent fight. Chaisson wouldn’t last a minute against Nunes, so the form guides aren’t great for the challenger.

Online gambling markets are respecting her at +250, but Nunes holds the aces.

“I love what I do and I love everything that goes into it,” Nunes said. “I love training. I love fight week, all the activities and the interviews and the things we do. And I still love to [fight]. You put in all of this hard work to prepare and get yourself to a certain point, and that’s the reward, the fight. I love it.”

Talks of retirement have been put to the wayside, so bettors should be confident with Nunes.

Oliveira Not Done With

Losing in his lightweight bout with Islam Makhachev has been tough for Oliveira to stomach, but don’t count him out.

He was riding a lengthy winning streak at the time, and although he got submitted in the second round, he has the heart of a champion, and he’s better than Dariush.

The 33-9 fighter is keen to get back to winning form, and we’re surprised by the +110 underdog UFC odds.

“This is a different Charles. This is a Charles that’s thirsty,” Oliveira said in third person. “The Charles you’re going to see is the Charles that you know, that’s thirsty for victory, that’s hungry — someone who is back at it and a lion who is always hunting. That’s the Charles that you’re going to see.”

We priced him as the -140 favorite to beat Dariush, who has been fighting well, but not facing championship fights like Oliveira has endured.

The 34-year-old Dariush defeated the likes of Tony Ferguson and Mateusz Gamrot to prepare for this fight, and we just don’t think that’s on the same level, especially for a -140 favorite.

Oliveira deserves a chance to win his belt back, and winning Saturday’s fight at UFC 289 earns him that chance.

Bet the Lot on Malott

We have high expectations for Mike Malott when he faces Adam Fugitt on the main card.

The 9-1-1 fighter looks to have a promising future, and the -200 odds are good enough to include in the UFC parlay to get it off to a winning start.

The 31-year-old comes off a first-round submission win over Yohan Lainesse, and UFC Live Betting markets might not have a chance to reframe their markets for the second round.

He’s aggressive, and although we respect the ability of Fugitt, we think they are on different levels.

We don’t see much risk with including Malott in our parlay. -200 is a short price to take, but he should get the parlay off to a winning start.

  • Pick: Mike Malott (-200)
