Renato Moicano vs Drew Dober Betting Preview

The co-main event of the evening involves two octagon savages, Renato Moicano and Drew Dober. Can we expect this contest to reach the judge’s scorecards?

Since joining the promotion in 2013, Dober has competed in 22 contests with a 77% finish rate in his 13 victories. Not to mention, his eight losses have seen a 63% clip on KO/TKO or submission.

Likewise, Moicano has been a common stranger to the judges in his 14 UFC bouts to date. Ten of his fights ended in submission or KO/TKO losses and wins, with eight of his most recent 10 fights ending inside the distance.

Moicano vs Dober Best Prop Bet: Under 1 ½ Rounds (-130)

The UFC betting odds aren’t overly confident on the moneyline side, and neither am I. However, I expect a bonus-worthy performance from one of these men. Whether it’s an early Dober bomb or an advantageous grounded position leading to submission attacks from Moicano, it’s difficult to envision this fight reaching the third round.

Dober hits hard, very hard. Nine of his 13 UFC victories were behind the assistance of his brutal power. Moicano is on slouch and has a nice jab of his own, but it’s a grappling upside for the Brazilian that can end this fight quickly, with 10 of his 17 pro career wins ending by submission.

  • Moicano finished Brad Riddell in Round 1 in his most recent fight
  • Dober’s previous two fights ended in Round 1

Natalia Silva vs Viviane Araujo Betting Preview

It’s rare to witness such a promising star in the women’s flyweight division, but here we are taking center stage: Natalia Silva.

We could be looking at a future champion, but first, she’ll need to get through the toughest test of her UFC career when faced with Viviane Arujo.

This all-Brazilian main card bout is deserving of its card position, but it’s the ever-evolving MMA attributes of Silva that have seen the sportsbook money line get juiced up to the -300 region. And rightfully so. However, as a women’s competitor known for her finishing ability (5 KOs, 7 submissions), I’m unsure she can extend this streak versus a durable Araujo.

Silva vs Araujo Best Prop Bet: Silva By Decision (-125)

The betting odds from a moneyline standpoint don’t tickle my fancy, but the defensive strengths of Araujo certainly grab my attention when looking at Silva winning by decision.

Skill-for-skill, Silva is undoubtedly the side, but after watching Araujo go the distance with some of the division’s best, such as Alexa Grasso, Amanda Ribas, and Jennifer Maia, I don’t envision any other path to victory besides a split or unanimous decision.

  • Araujo has gone the distance in 9 of her 10 UFC bouts.
  • Silva couldn’t finish Andrea Lee inside the distance.
  • 50% of Silva’s UFC bouts went to the judge’s scorecards.

Gilbert Urbina vs Charles Radtke Betting Preview

Charles Radtke is an entertainer, and while many critics believe he isn’t ready for the UFC’s level of competition, a tape study on the Wisconsin native will give you a glimpse of why the promotion brought him in from CFFC.

His exciting style wasn’t on display last time as he grinded out Blood Diamond to a unanimous decision in the most lackluster fight of his career. Previously, his recent bouts saw an RNC, KO/TKO, and a one-punch stoppage.

For Urbina, he’ll own a huge size and experience advantage in Saturday’s bout, and my money is on him to take the victory. His previous four bouts ended inside the distance, and unlike Blood Diamond, he’ll force the reckless side of Radtke this weekend and it isn’t going to end well.

Urbina vs Radtke Best Prop Bet 3: Under 2 ½ Rounds (-155)

As I’ve already hit the Urbina moneyline elsewhere, Under 2 ½ rounds is a proposition wager that intrigues me. The under has hit in six of Urbina’s last eight and in four of Radtke’s last six.

Two proven finishers inside the smaller Apex cage – give me violence on these MMA picks for tonight. This one isn’t going the distance, and a respectable price on the under 2.5 rounds has presented itself; thank you very much to the oddsmakers.

  • Urbina has seen Under 2 ½ Rounds in four straight bouts.
  • 4 of Radtke’s previous 6 pro-MMA bouts ended inside the distance

Our Favorite UFC Vegas 85 Proposition Wagers

1. Moicano/Dober – Under 1 ½ Rounds [-130]
2. Natalia Silva – Wins By Decision [-125]
3. Urbina/Radtke – Under 2 ½ Rounds [-155]
