UFC Vegas 86 Betting Odds

Timothy Cuamba vs Bolaji Oki Parlay Betting Preview

Timothy Cuamba (8-1-0) steps up on short notice to make his UFC debut on Saturday afternoon, but is the American prepared to handle the vicious nature of Bolaji Oki, who has collected 63% of his pro career wins via knockout?

Cuamba’s short-notice booking is coupled with a rise from featherweight to lightweight, a factor that doesn’t bode well for his first octagon war as an official UFC roster member.

Oki (8-1-0), another debutant, is accustomed to 155 lbs and has displayed ruthless stopping power during his pro tenure thus far. He loves to strike, extends his jabs nicely, and can dictate a fight at range or inside the pocket.

UFC Vegas 86 Parlay Pick Leg 1: Oki Moneyline (-165)

There will be a significant size discrepancy favoring Oki this weekend. While Cuamba can scrap with the best of them, it’s apparent that he’s met his match when reviewing the tape of both competitors.

Opening Las Vegas odds of -198 on Oki have since plummeted, and that’s perfect for value hunters backing the Belgian favorite. Precise combinations with excellent counterstriking, patience, speed, and athleticism are four components we can expect to be vital, and that should gift Oki a storybook UFC debut.

  1. Oki was initially preparing for much stiffer competition in Dami Hadzovic
  2. Cuamba moves up a weight class to make his UFC debut on short notice
  3. Cuamba fought last week

Daniel Marcos vs. Aoriqileng Parlay Betting Preview

Daniel Marcos (15-0-0) has managed to maintain his unblemished pro-MMA record since joining the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series. Although it could be argued that he was gifted a split-decision win versus Davey Grant last time out, there isn’t much argument around the fact that he’ll face a significantly lower level of opposition this weekend.

Aoriqileng (25-11-0) is a gritty and entertaining Chinese journeyman who won’t ever reach the top ranks of the bantamweight division. He’s well versed in all areas of the fight but equally fails to be elite in any one area.

UFC Vegas 86 Parlay Pick Leg 2: Marcos Moneyline (-265)

We can probably expect a striking battle for most of this contest. Unfortunately for Aoriqileng, his lack of output has clouded multiple UFC bouts to date; he loves to pressure fighters but is often hesitant, and such a patient approach at 135 lbs will continue to be his downfall.

Marcos owned a small hype before the Grant bout. Following the fight, fans screamed robbery, and while I won’t argue that stance, the Peruvian didn’t react in the octagon very well and became stagnant throughout 15 minutes.

At range, behind a string of combinations, Marcos is an excellent fighter worth backing in MMA picks for tonight and is unquestionably more talented than Aoriqileng in all aspects of the fight game. I expect we’ll see a huge mismatch this weekend, especially when Grant’s talents cannot be compared to Aoriqileng’s.

  1. Marcos is undefeated (15-0) and is taking a drop in competition level since his last bout
  2. Aoriqileng is 3-3 in the UFC

UFC Vegas 86 2-Leg Parlay

  1. Bolaji Oki Moneyline (-165)
  2. Marcos Moneyline (-265)
