2 Prop Bet Picks for UFC Vegas 97
1. Isaac Dulgarian vs. Brendon Marotte
New England Cartel prospect Isaac Dulgarian was riding high after making his UFC debut in 2023 when stopping Francis Marshall viciously inside the first five minutes. No exaggeration: his career to date displays one of the most violent featherweight newcomers, as he’s looking to take heads as soon as the first bell rings.
Brendon Marotte is the biggest underdog at UFC Vegas 97, and after watching Terence McKinney flatline him in his promotional debut, I’m not surprised. He clearly doesn’t handle pressure well, which doesn’t look great for his chance of success when opposed to such a potent finisher in Dulgarian.

One of the Biggest Favorites in UFC History
The UFC betting odds on Dulgarian are heading towards being the shortest in promotional history, so the only way to make a profit from the favorite is to approach the prop market.
Dulgarian’s wrestling background is no joke, and this will allow him to dictate where the fight takes place. It will be on the ground, where he doesn’t care for fancy transitions or holding position but delivers an absolute onslaught of offense. As he paid the price for hunting submissions against Christian Rodriguez last time out, he will avoid that same mistake and instead punch his lamb straight to the slaughter.

2. Trevor Peek vs. Yanal Ashmoz
On the topic of violent finishers, we roll straight into another two savages… Trevor Peek and Yanal Ashmoz.
Peek began his pro career with nine knockout wins in one or two rounds. He isn’t a technical specimen, nor does he present the highest fight IQ, but he’s a fighter who will forever leave it all in the octagon, and the last thing his opponents want to do is allow him to find the chin.
Ashmoz is similarly aggressive, but we should credit him for having the more technical approach of the two. I was surprised to see him in an underdog position, but this is one of those fights where two inexperienced competitors don’t present a big enough sample size to start making confident judgments.

Nobody Is Getting Finished
BetUS MMA odds will support the knockouts and submissions, but they’re also weary of the durability.
With 14 stoppage wins from a combined 16-3-0 record, it’s easy to suggest this fight isn’t going to allow a judge’s intervention. However, more than anything else, Peek has displayed an insane level of toughness throughout his UFC tenure. At the same time, Ashmouz presents defensive awareness that’s seen him avoid being stopped during his career.
When these two begin hitting each other with everything they have, backing FGTD might become a butt-clencher. Still, we have no reason to doubt the iron chins on display, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Peek mixes in some wrestling, which would drain the clock and assist this fight going to the judges even more.
Peek vs. Ashmoz Betting Trends:
- Peek has gone the distance in 3 consecutive UFC bouts
- Ashmouz has gone the distance in 2 of his last 3 MMA bouts
