It’s a Stacked UFC Card in London
Kamaru Usman headlines our UFC picks for Saturday’s UFC 286 action in London. He fights for the welterweight belt, which he lost to Leon Edwards last year.
We have three fights included in our parlay, which includes Gaethje vs Fiziev, and Vettori vs Dolidze.
UFC fight odds are available for every fight on the card.
Edwards vs Usman
It was a shock with UFC news when Usman was knocked out by Edwards at UFC 278, but the Nigerian is back to reclaim his belt.
The 35-year-old had the fight wrapped up, but he let his guard down in the final round. We can’t imagine he’ll make the same mistake, but this fight will be harder.
“This time around it will be a totally different fight”, Edwards said. “I’ve never lost in the U.K. I’ve never lost at UFC London. Pro and amateur. So, I’m taking that confidence into it. I’m taking the confidence of knowing I can knock him out into it”.
“I’m taking the confidence of knowing I can take him down into it. I’m taking the confidence of knowing that once it hits the mat and I’m on top, I’m way better. Just all taking into it. My heritage, my story, it’s all going into it. I just can’t see how he comes over and beats me.”
Edwards knows he can beat Usman now, so the +195 underdog has attracted plenty of attention with bettors. However, we’re confident that Usman can turn back time and get the main event win.
Take the -245 with UFC odds tonight and include Usman in your parlays.
- Pick: Kamaru Usman (-245)
Gaethje vs Fiziev
It’s always exciting when Justin Gaethje fights, so we’re looking forward to this important lightweight contest.
The 34-year-old always goes on the offensive from the outset, which makes for an exciting fight. However, Rafael Fiziev is the sportsbook favorite and he has been on a tear since arriving in the UFC.
Fiziev earned this shot with a knockout win over Rafael dos Anjos, which followed wins over Brad Riddell and Bobby Green.
The Kazakhstani fighter has beaten some of the best in the division, and although he’s yet to face a fighter like Gaethje, his reach advantage is key.
He has a longer reach, which should make it tough for Gaethje to shoot for the takedown.
UFC lines have Fiziev at -220, which is getting on the short side. However, he is the better fighter and he’s trending in the right direction.
- Pick: Rafael Fiziev (-220)
Vettori vs Dolidze
We think there is good value with Roman Dolidze at +210. The Georgian fighter is 12-1 following a win over Jack Hermansson, and there’s nothing wrong with that form.
Sure, Vettori has experience fighting against some of the best in the sport, but with six losses on his record, he often comes out second best.
We understand with bookmakers have Vettori at -280, but there is no value with that price. He was defeated by Robert Whittaker in September, and we don’t think that’s the best form for this fight.
Dolidze is going under the radar and he can silence the outspoken Italian with one-punch power.
- Pick: Roman Dolidze (+210)
