Bet on High-Scoring Game for Dream vs Wings

The Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings will clash once again in game two of the playoffs on Tuesday after they opened the postseason with an exciting matchup. Though the Dream raced out to a big lead in game one, the Wings were able to battle back to win the series opener. Atlanta will now be looking to force a game three with a win in game two, but according to Dream vs Wings odds for Sept. 19, Dallas is favored once again.

Comeback Puts Wings in Control of Odds

Although the Dream had a 20-point lead on Dallas early in the second quarter, the Wings used strong offense to bounce back and get the opening win.

The Wings were able to tie it up by halftime and eventually take the lead and the win behind a strong performance from their leaders in Satou Sabally, Arike Ogunbowale and Teaira McCowan.

Sabally led the team with 32 points, a playoff franchise record, while Ogunbowale added 24 points and nine assists. McCowan recorded her second postseason double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

The game was the second in a row in which Dallas scored 94 points on Atlanta, shooting 48.6% as a team, and the Wings should be due for another strong offensive performance for those making WNBA picks.

Dream Shaky Pick to Slow Wings

Despite getting out to a hot start, taking a 15-point lead after the first quarter and building it to 20 in the second, Atlanta couldn’t hold off the Wings.

The Dream’s offense remained solid, scoring 82 points on 48.1% shooting from beyond the arc. However, their defense didn’t do enough to slow the Wings.

Atlanta was led by Rhyne Howard, who scored 36 points in her postseason debut on 8-of-15 shooting from three, while Allisha Gray added 21 points as well.

The Dream had one of their better offensive performances of late, but their defense will have to play better to be a solid WNBA betting pick against Dallas.

Dream vs Wings Odds

Dream vs Wings Best Bet

With WNBA betting lines having the Wings (-6½) as a heavier favorite once again in game two at home, there’s more value for bettors to look at betting the spread or total.

Despite the Dream falling short after getting out to a hot start in game one, they were still able to score against Dallas, which ranked ninth in points allowed in the regular season, giving up 84.9 points a game.

The Wings continued their strong offense from the regular season behind a trio of scorers led by Sabally. They should be able to score at a strong clip once more after finishing the season on a hot shooting streak as well. They shot 52.7% in their last three games.

The Dream and Wings hit the over in their first game of the playoffs and they should do so once more in game two.

WNBA Pick: Over 170½ points (-110)
