Playoff Teams Continue Saga

The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces will clash for the third time this season as they battle for the Commissioner’s Cup Championship on Tuesday. The Liberty currently own the WNBA’s longest active win streak with six games and recently clinched a playoff spot. The Aces secured a postseason position and are on a three-game win streak. Both teams have won a game each in the series, but according to WNBA odds, Las Vegas is favored in game three.

Liberty Breaks Records

New York saw a couple of records broken in its sixth straight win Sunday over Indiana following another strong offensive performance.

Winning their 24th game of the season with a 100-89 victory, the Liberty set a franchise record for season wins, but that wasn’t the only record broken in the win.

Breanna Stewart set a WNBA record by becoming the first player in league history to score at least 40 points in a single season three times, leading the Liberty with 42 points, with 30 of those coming in the first half.

The Liberty had three others finish in double digits as well, while five finished in double figures in their last win against the Aces, and if they can have another strong offensive performance, they should be a solid WNBA pick against Vegas.

Aces Continue Run

Las Vegas grabbed its third straight win with another solid offensive performance to defeat the Dream.

Though the Aces have scored over 100 points in each of their prior two games, they finished with just 86 points on 41.6% shooting in their win over Atlanta.

Despite that, Las Vegas still had five players reach double figures in the win, led by A’ja Wilson, who scored 21 points after scoring a career-high 40 points the game prior.

The win was the 20th straight regular-season home victory for the Aces, and if they continue playing how they have been, they should be a solid WNBA live betting pick to get their 21st straight as well.

Liberty vs Aces Picks and Prediction

Although New York got the better of Las Vegas in a big way the last time around, don’t expect the same result for the third game of the regular-season series.

These teams are closely matched offensively and defensively, owning the top two spots in the league in point differential. However, the Aces have yet to lose a game this season on home court. The Liberty have been rolling and should keep it closer than the first game, but Las Vegas will continue its home game win streak with another victory.
