3 Betting Tips For Liberty vs Lynx Matchup

1. Can New York Seal The Deal?

This has been a WNBA season for the ages with so many remarkable performances, record-breaking attendance figures and television ratings. The WNBA fans deserve to see this series go the distance.

Minnesota has not lost back-to-back home games all season long. The Lynx won its only other elimination game in this year’s playoffs with an 88-77 win over the visiting Connecticut Sun in Game 5 of the semifinal series.

Napheesa Collier and Courtney Williams combined for 34 points on 13-of-36 shooting with Kayla McBride adding 19 points. That trio was 20-of-52 in Game 3 versus the Liberty and the Lynx still almost won the game despite being listed by the BetUS sportsbook odds as the home underdog.

It is easy to look at Alanna Smith with two points in 20 minutes and question her impact on the game. However, Minnesota was +20 when Smith was on the court. She will need to avoid the foul trouble that plagued her in Game 3 as she is the tallest starter for the Lynx.

Minnesota actually had one more made field goal, two more assists and four more steals in Game 3 as there wasn’t much to separate these two teams. Expect another huge crowd at the Target Center on Friday.

Go with the Lynx to cover against the WNBA spread as the home underdogs and extend the WNBA Finals.

2. Ionescu Looks To Build On Impressive Final Minute in Game 3

With a minute left to play, New York guard Sabrina Ionescu had seven points on 3-of-10 shooting with one 3-pointer as it appeared that she would be held under 10 points for only the second time in this year’s playoffs.

A pair of 3-pointers including a deep – and we do mean deep – 3-pointer with 1 second remaining.

Ionescu had 36 points in the game that closed out the Atlanta Dream and finished with 22 as the Liberty ended the season for the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces. Expect Ionescu to be a difference maker as the Liberty looks to put the finishing touches on what has been a special 2024 season. The WNBA player props have Ionescu priced at -108 to have at least 18 points with the +110 odds for Ionescu to have at least six assists worth considering.

Bet on Sabrina Ionescu to have 18+ Points (-108)

3. Stars Stewart and Collier Headline A Three-Legged Parlay

All eyes will be on the team’s best players as Breanna Stewart looks to win her third WNBA title while Napheesa Collier wants to help Minnesota send the series back to New York.

Stewart had 43 combined points, rebounds and assists in Game 3. Go with -104 odds for her to have 36 points, rebounds and assists on Friday.

Collier has +135 odds to hit the same number. She fell short of that total in Game 3 as she was 9 for 22. She is averaging 19.7 points, 8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the first three games of the series. If her track record of delivering in the clutch is any indication, take a look at the -104 odds for Collier to have at least 34 combined points, rebounds and assists.

Minnesota’s Kayla McBride had a game-high five 3-pointers in Game 3. She might not repeat that effort but the +100 odds for McBride to have at least 20 points, rebounds and assists are rather tempting as a way to complete the WNBA Game 4 parlay.

Bet on Kayla McBride to record 20 points, rebounds and assists (+100)
